Laziel choked, and his expression twisted. Meira, who had Darren catching her, was facing his direction, so she caught the expression on his face. Astonishment bloomed in her chest, and she became hopeful again. She hurriedly steadied herself from Darren’s arms, wanting to go after Laziel. However, the man turned around, clenching his fists before walking away with large strides. Meira frowned. With his speed, she wouldn’t be able to catch up with him. "Are you alright, Miss Meira?" Darren’s voice sounded in her ears. She immediately recovered her senses, silently cursing in her heart. Why did she react like that just because of Laziel? She had switched her target to Darren! At least this man didn’t seem so resistant, avoiding her falling or something like that. There might have been a chance to hook him! "Mr. Valez..." she said pitifully. "I-I don’t want to go back, so can you all bring me along?" Darren’s eyebrows knitted together. "It’s too dangerous to bring an ordinary person along. Even we ability users can’t guarantee we can protect ourselves." If there was something Meira didn’t like about Darren, it was that he sometimes adhered to rules too strictly. Laziel was more the opposite, impulsive and did everything as he liked. "You should join others to go back to the base." Darren suggested. "Oh..." Meira exhaled with a disappointed sigh. If it were Laziel, would he bring her along regardless of the danger he might face? He most likely would have. "Why are you asking me this instead of Laziel?" Darren had an odd expression on his face. Meira pursed her lips, lowering her head and saying in a small voice. "Laziel and I have broken up." Darren was taken aback. His eyes were a little wide, making Meira a little embarrassed. Now, she no longer felt the satisfaction of ending her relationship with Laziel and having Darren find out about it. She felt regretful and a little at a loss. He nodded, having no intention of inquiring further. More like he wasn’t interested. Meira bit her lip, wanting to say something but eventually held herself back. In another place, Laziel collapsed onto a sofa, inhaling deeply. On the way here, he had been brooding over it. Meira... didn’t seem that interested in him. Meanwhile, she was always a little shy with Darren compared to when she was near other guys. No matter how stupid he was, now he could pick up some clues. Meira liked Darren, and not him. On some occasions, she would even try to get close to the man, not remembering she already had a boyfriend. "What has gotten into you?" Nyra glanced at her younger brother. Honestly, she did feel a little pity for him, who was going through a heartbreak. But his eye for choosing people was indeed too poor. "Nothing." He shook his head. "I want to eat something sweet. Is Zee in her room?" "I don’t know." Nyra shrugged. They heard a knock on the door. Laziel was confused. He got up, intending to open it, but Nyra stopped him. "It should be Darren. I’ll go get it." Laziel was taken aback. The sight of Meira pretending to fall into Darren’s arms flashed in his mind, and he frowned. Without the filter he had when he liked her, he began to feel a sense of disgust. Maybe it was a good thing, so he could forget about her as soon as possible. Why let a bad person like her continue to live rent-free in his mind for too long? "Alright. I’ll go find Zerra." He headed to Zerra’s room. However, before that, he turned to his older sister and called out. "Elder sister?" "Hm?" She raised her eyebrows. Laziel coughed. "If you are going to settle your relationship, choose someone who genuinely likes and treasures you." Nyra’s sneered. "Of course, I am not like you." He could feel an arrow going straight to his heart. Clutching his chest, he muttered, "I am serious." "Tsk, you kid. Why so melancholic? One heartbreak later and you are already lecturing your elder sister about a relationship." She clicked her tongue. Laziel pursed his lips, and a sheepish look crossed his face. "We should learn from each other’s experience." He coughed, "After all, we are siblings." We might have the same brain when it came to love life; he wanted to say that, but he was afraid she would beat him up. Darren so far seemed decent, but... people change after all. There was no telling what he would become in the future. The guy liked Nyra, but his friendliness to other girls needed to be corrected. It might become a problem if he couldn’t tell whether a girl was making advances on him or genuinely needing his help. As for Zerra, he didn’t think he would worry about Cassias. That guy was quite devoted, even if his little sister was oblivious. He wasn’t sure whether the girl was pretending or not, though. He shook his head and resumed walking. Faintly, he could hear Darren’s voice and Nyra. He just couldn’t hear what they were talking about. "... Azi inside? Azi!" Laziel’s heart jolted, and he hurriedly knocked on Zerra’s room. "Munchkin, are you inside? Let me in!" He said with a sense of urgency. His heart grew more restless when he saw Meira coming inside the house. Why hadn’t his sister stopped her? She must have followed Darren to their place! Inside Zerra’s room, there were some ruffling sounds. She was inside, but she didn’t open the door for him! His mind churned, trying to find a way to hide. He didn’t want to meet that woman anymore. As the door opened with a click, Laziel dashed inside. "Close the door, close the door!" He told her urgently. She was a little bewildered, but she still did as he wished, closing the door right on Meira’s face. Meira’s voice was cut off. Of course, Zerra closed the door not because she was trying to save Laziel from his now obsessive ex-girlfriend. Inside her room, there were many plants she had accidentally grown! She was having a hard time controlling her powers. Even when she accidentally fell asleep with a few seeds in her hand, they had already grown the next day when she opened her eyes! Google seaʀᴄh novel⟡fire.net She hadn’t cleaned those plants yet, and so someone outside her family shouldn’t see them! Laziel let out a sigh. He let another sigh, making Zerra tilt her head in confusion. What was going on with him today? "Munchkin, do you see my head?" "Yes, it’s still there. Don’t worry. I am sure your brain is still there too." He almost regretted opening the conversation with her. It turned out she was as bad as Nyra! He asked again, "What’s the color?" Then, they both let out a sigh. Laziel’s head was green.
