Her countenance became incredibly pale in an instant. How did they find out she was going to follow them? She had put barriers around herself using spiritual power! Soon, she understood why. The tiger was lounging on the grass beside her car, looking at the wide open car door as if it could see her. Wait, they might not see her, and it was Laziel who followed the tiger? He just had to appear at the most inconvenient time! She was having one of her feet inside the car and the other outside. Her hand clutched the car door. If she were to make a movement, they might hear the noise, so she was forced to stay in her current position for long. Because Laziel had appeared from the direction of the front of the car. "Zee?" He called out again. Hmph, she wouldn’t fall for it! However, she still couldn’t get how he was here. Didn’t he drive off with their elder sister a quarter of an hour ago? They were supposed to be on the way at this moment. Staying in the position with one foot as a support wasn’t comfortable. She was getting cramps from standing for so long. Unfortunately, Laziel hadn’t gone yet. The tiger was such a traitor too. It had revealed her location and now refused to help her drag Laziel away. The whole family was in cahoots, banding together against her. For the past ten minutes, Laziel had been occasionally calling her name. He would also peek through the car window as though he expected Zerra to be inside. It was really annoying. She snapped her head toward him, glaring. Even if he didn’t see her, she would still glare at him to death. In slow motion movement, Laziel suddenly stared at her. She widened her eyes, almost jumping in shock because their eyes met! Laziel had been acting like he didn’t see her all this while. Was her barrier broken? Then, she heard it. A humorless chuckle. On top of that, his gaze never moved from her. Her heart thumped, and her throat felt dry for some reason as an ominous feeling clouded her mind. "Zee?" He tilted his head. "What are you doing standing like that for so long?" So, he had indeed seen her! This rascal was pretending not to see and let her be in such an awkward position for so long. She glared at him, her embarrassment and anger mixed into one. "Are you playing with me?" She took her foot out of the car door. Laziel shrugged. "So, where are you going?" Hearing his question, she glanced around. When she found no traces of other people, she was a little relieved. "I am going to join you. Don’t tell others." "She is with us." It was her dad’s voice. How did they arrive so fast? She turned around and stuttered, "D-dad." There, she finally saw the traitor. When she spotted Cassias among the group of people walking toward her, she widened her eyes which screamed: traitor! Cassias coughed and looked away as if he were guilty. Her parents had inscrutable look on their faces while Nyra was looking at her with unclear eyes. From the corner of her eye, she saw Laziel’s gloating face. She bit her lip and gritted her teeth. "Even if you all stop me, I will still try to join my elder sister and brother!" She declared stubbornly. Alaric and Nerith exchanged looks with each other, a little helpless. "Fine." Alaric finally said. "We will let you go join them." "Really?" Her eyes lit up like a kid getting candy. "Of course." Her dad nodded seriously. He turned to Nerith and gave her a vague look. She nodded back in response. Zerra didn’t have a good feeling about their exchange. Nerith climbed into the backseat of the car, and she began to take bags out of the space ring. "Take them to your car. I have prepared all the snacks in case you are hungry." She muttered while handing her husband a bag, then Nyra and Laziel. Zerra’s face froze. Why didn’t she get any? "Cassias, let’s go in." Nerith called out. The awful premonition was getting stronger. Cassias smiled softly and took Zerra’s hand. "Zizi, let’s go to the car." She still had a numb expression as she let Cassias drag her into the passenger seat. Gradually, she seemed to understand something. "Mom and Dad are also going?" she asked in surprise. "B-but..." "Yes," Nerith interrupted her stuttering. "With your temper, we know if you don’t get what you want, you will try to get out sneakily." She froze again, and a scarlet flush of embarrassment crept to her cheek. How did her mom read her like a book? She covered her own face. Everything was so unreal that she thought she was dreaming. She pinched her own cheek. Hiss, it hurts! She wasn’t dreaming. Suddenly, someone grabbed her hand, looking at her with disapproval. It was Cassias. She swallowed hard as she evaded his eyes. "Do you know it might be dangerous, right?" She puffed out her cheeks. "I don’t want you to get hurt. I don’t want anyone getting hurt at all!" "Isn’t that the same for us, the parents? We also don’t want the three of you to get hurt." Alaric sighed, holding his temples. "But what can I do when I have three stubborn kids!" Laziel coughed, Zerra lowered her head, and Nyra turned her gaze away so that anyone wouldn’t see her expression. Seeing the silent reaction of all his children, he snorted disdainfully. "Let’s just go. The longer we stay here, the more time would take to arrive at the destination." He turned to the tiger. "We still have to cross the forest... this tiger can help us to cross safely, right?" The tiger growled in dissatisfaction at Alaric for doubting its ability. After receiving a confirmation, Alaric nodded in approval. Thus, they divided the team into two cars. Nerith would join Zerra and Cassias’ group while Alaric would be with Laziel and Nyra. Of course, the team wasn’t complete yet. They picked up Sean and other ability users on the way. In the car, as they headed to the Moon Cloud City, Zerra sighed again. She really couldn’t persuade her parents this time. Maybe her stubbornness came from them! Her gaze was aimed straight ahead, and she clenched her fist. Since the story had become so unrecognizable, she also hoped that nothing bad would happen to her family this time around. All of them should stick together and be safe always!
