"There doesn’t seem to be any inspection so far." Laziel snorted. "These bastards lied to us." He turned to Nyra. "Elder sister. What are we doing just sitting here?" That was right. The entire group stopped moving, and they currently held a picnic on the ground. Nyra took out a picnic blanket and some snacks. Updates are released by 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✶𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✶𝕟𝕖𝕥 Everyone who passed by was staring at them like they were lunatics or something. Nyra raised her eyebrows. "Just wait. They will come soon." Cassias had excused himself from the group earlier, saying he was going to the bathroom. However, Zerra knew he wasn’t at all! He secretly went to meet Draven, the ice ability user who was also his underling. She didn’t want to eavesdrop on their conversation, but she couldn’t help her curiosity. So, she listened. Cassias was ordering his underling to make chaos and brought people to meet them. Surprisingly, Draven followed his order without hesitation. After Cassias came back, he told Nyra that it was ready. Zerra was a little surprised. When did these two discuss this plan together? She didn’t have the time to think about it further because soon a commotion attracted their attention. Her group had been moving around trying to find Darren, so it wasn’t easy to locate them as they always moved in the base. Now that they merely wait for the trouble to come, it was fast. Draven was really an efficient worker. Speaking about underlings, Henry really liked to take in these people who had thug-like appearance. Probably because they looked more powerful. This time, the one leading the team was quite familiar. It was the burly man they had met this morning. "You are making trouble in our base, trespassing through the territory and injuring our gatekeepers," he announced. "Brothers, capture and kick them out of our base. We shall teach people a lesson that they shouldn’t act impertinently and should follow the rules!" Zerra raised her eyebrows. The man really didn’t waste his words at all, straight up resorting to violence. Draven really picked someone suitable. She could tell this man held a grudge. They had embarrassed him earlier because he had lost the small clash against Sean. The people, who were more numerous compared to this morning, charged toward them. As the clash between the two groups followed, people avoided them. They could only watch the fight, not at all surprised anymore. Perhaps, it was almost a common occurrence that fights had been happening between the Brown family and Valez family lately. In a matter of minutes, the Brown family men were defeated, all lying on the ground. The leader had underestimated them. He must have thought they had the upper hand because of the explosive they had secretly planted to trap Henry. Although these people have the power of level five, Zerra realized they didn’t have the skills necessary to make full use of their power. Seeing all the people lying on the ground, Nyra sneered at them. She provocatively said to them, "Come, bring more of your people here!" The burly man glared maliciously at her. They all left the place. It wasn’t a surprise they met more people like that who came to capture them. Most likely, these people knew who they were and coveted the crystal cores in their brains. However, with the excited Nyra around, who would happily throw a bunch of fireballs as soon as they appeared, they all were caught off guard and were defeated quickly. Zerra inwardly clicked her tongue. These cannon fodder didn’t even have a chance to say their villainous lines yet. They didn’t even survive half a page of the novel! "No one came to us anymore." Laziel muttered with a frown. He had been infected by Nyra and became more excited as he fought. Even their dad got a chance to showcase his power. After all, people who came after them were now more diverse in terms of power levels. The leaders always brought some low-level ability users and made use of the sheer number of people. "They have learned their lesson." Sean snorted. "If they come, let’s deal with them again." They felt some kind of satisfaction after they made a tremendous commotion at the base. They were now aware of Nyra’s plan. Surely, with this level of commotion where a lot of people from the Brown family got injured, Darren would catch wind of what had happened. "Henry hasn’t appeared since earlier. Is this okay?" Laziel began to hesitate. "It isn’t some kind of trap, right?" Others had thoughtful expressions when Laziel asked this. That was right. Ever since they broke into the base, Henry should have been informed of it. However, he never once made an appearance. He had sent only some subordinates to deal with them. Did he think these subordinates were enough, or did he have another plan? "That’s fine. We will deal with it even if it’s a trap," Cassias muttered in a voice full of assurance. When they heard it, they subconsciously became relaxed. Zerra echoed Cassias’ words, "That’s right. We have to face them sooner or later, anyway. You already tested them. They couldn’t make full use of their power without adequate fighting skills." She had used persuasion in her words. Well, being a celestial fox came with this kind of package. Illusions, hypnotism ability. For the royal fox, their ability was even more terrifying. With both of them helping them to ease the group’s anxiety, the members were full of vitality again after drinking the diluted spring water from Cassias. "Let’s move again," Nyra announced. There were some parts of the base they hadn’t explored yet. Maybe Darren and his family were there. Zerra’s senses were always alert, surveying the surroundings. As they walked closer to the hospital, she suddenly snapped her head to the side. There was a familiar aura. "Zee, don’t wander by yourself!" Laziel warned. She subconsciously almost separated herself from the group, walking approximately ten meters away. "What’s the matter?" Cassias asked. Seeing the trust in his eyes, even though she wasn’t sure, she still told them. "I think I saw someone familiar there." She pointed to the bushes. Suddenly, someone jumped out of there, nearly making Zerra’s soul leave her body. The person had wrapped himself in a thick jacket, and the nauseating smell around him made her fail to recognize him. "Jake?" She called out in an unsure tone. "Miss... Mr. Virethorn..." he stared at them, eyes wide in surprise. Then, his tone changed to a pleading voice. "Please help us..."
