Her image rose with her like an empress charging to battle. It was blurry and incomplete but much less illusory than the first time she used it. The features of the image were still not clear and the holes on it body were less than before. The pressure it placed on the world was much higher than before but even with all of that, her power looked insignificant compared to the lightning bolt. The lightning bolt itself was smaller than the two previous ones. Only the width of a grow man’s arm. It was silent, eerily so, it emitted no heat nor did it paint the world in it shade. This lightning bolt itself had reached the level of a rank 5 attack. While she had never met a rank 5 being, the inheritance site where she found her mental tempering technique and her vessel, had preserved auras of each rank up to 9. So she very much remembered how the aura of a rank 5 felt, while this was still on the lower end of a rank 5 power, it was still an attack two ranks above her. She roared and stabbed her sword at the lightning bolt. Her image tried it best to reduce the lightning bolt’s effect on her and to an extent it did. Which was the only reason she even had a chance of survival. The moment her sword touched the lightning bolt, her soul force shattered like glass. The lightning ran through the sword and coursed through her body. Her skin cracked and blood spurted out of the cracks. This was even before the lightning bolt itself reached her. When it did she felt like she was punched on the stomach by a speeding mountain. It threw her body straight back to the mountain peak like a streak of blue light. She moved so fast the world zipped past her, her mind could not even process that level of speed. She hit the mountain peak even before the lightning bolt could reach the ground. The mountain shook and cracked, giant cracks ran across it like spiderwebs all the way to the ground. Her body bounced back up a few centimetres. She coughed up blood and before she could react the bolt hit her again and pushed her back down. The world seemed to stand still for a split moment then mayhem followed. It started with a spark, the first sound produced by the lightning bolt and it was a whisper only she heard. Then temperatures rose to ridiculous proportions, first heat emitted by it and it almost melted the entire mountain but it was not over. The world turned green, the sky turned green, the ground, the mountains, even the air itself. The world seemed to roar then it came. It started on her stomach where the lightning had landed, as a ball of green plasma that expanded and spread out. Naledi could do nothing but watch, it all happened way to fast for her to react, the only thing she did manage was to move her essence to cast a technique. But even that was not fast enough. The green ball of plasma expanded out and drowned her, she activated her technique and encased her entire body in a coffin of ice and snow but that did not last long before it evaporated. In only a moment it had become a giant green ball hundreds of metres in diameter and it continued expanding. The mountain was disintegrated and disappeared. The shockwave followed and ripped the ground apart for tens of kilometres and continued spreading. On the city wall. Aira activated her vessel and a giant golden dome covered the entire city. The source of thɪs content is 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩·𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖·𝘯𝘦𝘵 Fortunately the shockwave was much weaker by the time it reached the city walls or all of them would’ve been in danger. They couldn’t believe such devastation was from a tribulation. They started to get worried about Naledi, before, they believed the tribulation would be a breeze to her. They realised now how wrong they were. The world turned back to it normal shade a moment later. The clouds scattered and disappeared. Moonlight shined down on Naledi. Her body was lying motionless on a giant crater where the mountain once stood, towering above the world. Her body was charred and blackened. Cracks ran across her entire body, with her Winter’s Valkyrie form deactivated she just lay there naked. At first glance she looked like a corpse, a dried old corpse but then her finger twitched. A drop of golden liquid dropped from the sky slowly. Then it entered her body. For a few seconds nothing happened. Then the charred layer of her body peeled off, what remained beneath was a skin even smoother and more perfect than before. Her hair grew back, longer and more lustrous. Even more surprising was that it looked like her Valkyrie hair, long ice blue curls with white tips like snow. It seemed it was her normal hair now. Naledi slowly opened her eyes and outstretched her hand. Her vessel came flying to her hand. The aura eminating from it was multiple times stronger than before. She smiled softly, she had finally reached rank 4, the fourth known human to achieve that. She could feel the vast power in her soul, she could tell her vessel had grown significantly stronger, she felt like she could crush the entire world. And she could feel something else from the vessel. It felt like joy, she was certain she was not imagining it, her vessel was starting to develop it own spirit. She was delighted but she thought that only happened at rank 7. Then she heard voices calling out to her, she could feel the worry in them and a warm feeling filled her heart. With a thought, snow appeared around her and formed a beautiful white dress, then she stood up and waved at them. They jumped into the crater, with their physiques, a height of a few hundreds metres was not too much of an issue, although it might shake their knees a little. The moment they arrive, Cathra started touching her with a worried look on her face asking if she was okay, Naledi reassured her that she was fine. It took a bit of effort to stop her from worrying too much. Then came the questions from Cat, she looked excited for her own upcoming advancement. Naledi just giggled, Cat never changed even after seeing how dangerous the tribulation was she still wanted to try it, infact Naledi was almost certain the tribulation being hard is most likely the reason she was so eager. Watching her friends showing so much care for her warmed her heart. She wanted this feeling to last forever. Boom, her heart pounded, she clasped her chest, a strange ominous feeling overshadowed her. Cat looked at with worry. " Are you okay?" She asked, Naledi was about to smile and tell her she’s fine when she heard the voice of the heavens whisper to her soul.
