Before he could even reach the squid, a cannon ball hit him on the side. He could’ve easily dodged something moving at that speed but he was caught off guard. He really did not expect them to attack him. Fortunately the cannon was weak and didn’t harm him at all but he still growled at them as a warning. Their leader looked apologetic and she gave the guy who fired the cannon a cold stare. ’Atleast they’re sorry’ Ved thought before continuing to lunge at the squid. The hundreds of ink tentacles lunged at him. Behind him an engine roared. He released lighting in every direction and shattered every tentacle that entered within a 50 metres range of him. This move, while powerful and very useful as a wide range attack, used too much lightning. He was only left with around 20 percent of his lightning after using it. The tentacles grew back and attacked him again. He created strings and made them dance around him. His soul sense had grown wider, so he was able control his strings on a much wider range and can control even more of them. They cut the tentacles into thousands of tiny pieces but like undying zombies the tentacles regenerated again and again. He fired a bolt of lightning at the squid’s main body but it was blocked by tens of ink tentacles. They blocked his path, no matter how hard he tried to get close. Then a blast of blue light lit up behind him, the ship shot out like a missile. He didn’t even know ships could move that fast. Before long it was already on the horizon. Now Ved had nothing holding him back. He opened his giant maw and like the gate of the underworld, black mist that reeked of death and decay came out. It seemed the squid sensed how dangerous this mist was because it tried to run the moment the mist appeared. But it was not fast enough. The black mist covered over 4 kilometres around him in a blink of an eye. The squid created a cocoon of ink around Itself. But this mist was Ved’s strongest poison to date. He created it by accident when he tried to use every type of poison in his arsenal at once. It had everything, from minor effect like rise in body temperature, drop in body temperature, body irritation, drowsiness to serious ones like hallucinations. Severe pain induction, excessive bleeding, body paralysis, blindness, headache etc. Some of the effect even contradicted each other but they still did not cancel each other out. Instead, they waged a war of dominance inside the victim which makes the suffering, worse, way worse. The poison was also so corrosive it can even burn through will itself. Even Ved barely any control over it. Once released, it would kill everything it touches. Ved called it the Black Death. As expected, the black death started eating through the cocoon of ink. Infact it was even corroding the sea itself. Before long it had completely eaten through the cocoon of ink and reached the squid. The poor creature thrashed in what was probably the most painful agony it had every experienced. And in only a few seconds it body stopped moving and it dropped to the ocean floor. Ved approached and checked if it was truly dead. It was still alive but barely. He finished it off but just before he ate it he remembered something. Squids have three hearts. He wondered how it would feel to have three hearts. ’ System, mark target.’ The system replied. ( Can host be more specific.) ’ Mark heart.’ ( Affirmative. Hearts marked.) ’ Okay, so how do I integrate aspects?’ ( Host is required to consume the marked body part.) ’ oh okay, that’s easy.’ He started eating but there were no notifications informing him he had obtained evolution points. He almost asked the system what was happening until he remembered he couldn’t receive points from marked target. So he continued until he ate the entire thing and all of it three hearts, then the notification came. ( Aspect: Three Hearts has been integrated, aspect will be included in host’s next evolution.) Ved grinned, he had no idea what having three hearts will be like or how it will effect him but he was excited. Besides, his instincts told him it wasn’t anything bad. It was unfortunate he didn’t receive any evolution points from the squid or he would have enough points by now. He spent the next weeks constantly hunting. He found a few rank 3, they were even rarer here than back in that...he really didn’t what that place was. A seperate dimension maybe, or a seperate world entirely? He didn’t know. Even though they were rare he still managed to find a few and raise his evolution points to 41. Then he swam around until he found an island he was going to use for his evolution. The island didn’t have any strong beast and the world essence energy in the air was very low. Follow current novels on 𝕟𝕠𝕧𝕖𝕝✶𝕗𝕚𝕣𝕖✶𝕟𝕖𝕥 Only a few rank 1 beasts were there and most were normal animals. He captured a harpy eagle the moment he arrived. Harpy eagles had the strongest wings, or so he believes. He integrated the harpy eagle’s wings and he could barely contain his excitement. Good luck.) ’ Discovered by the heavens? Good luck? What do you mean good luck? I don’t want to do this anymore.’ He complained but it was too late. Clouds gathered in the sky and grew darker and larger with each passing second. A tremendous aura pressed on him like the world itself was trying to crush him. Lightning flashed and lit up the world. ’ Oh shit, Zues you horny fuck if I die, I’m haunting you .’ ----------------------------------------------------------- Somewhere in the Divine Realm A handsome muscular man with toned muscles and a black beard, surrounded by scantily dressed celestial beauties feeding him grapes suddenly sneezed. ’ Strange, I haven’t sneezed in a few billion years. Di..did Hera find out about this?’ he panicked thinking he had been caught by his wife. Unbeknownst to him, he was being unfairly blamed for something he didn’t even know by a tiny dragon.
