After Sbonga left, Vermillion was left alone with Alya. " Do you think he’s telling the truth my lord?. He seems like a greedy and sly man, it wouldn’t be wise to trust him." " Tell me Alya, if you were in his shoes, would you dare to try and deceive me?" Alya answered without wasting a moment. " Ofcourse not my lord, I would never do that." " Exactly, he may be greedy but he’s no fool, he knows the consequences of angering me. Even if he did not see a drake, he atleast saw something like it and that is worth looking into. Now then, gather a team of 50 to a 100 men, we’ll go on a dragon hunt." " Yes my lord, I will gather the soldiers right away." " No, use the inmates, I don’t want to risk my man’s lives for this, we do not know what we will come across out there." Alya bowed and left but before she could get out he stopped her. " Also, send a letter to that woman, tell her I’m in need of her assistance." After Alya left, Vermillions face turned stone cold. " A drake? I wonder how effective it will be." He whispered to himself. ----------------------------------------------------------- Naledi’s POV Thᴇ link to the origɪn of this information rᴇsts ɪn 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡⚫𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢⚫𝘯𝘦𝘵 " Here, you just received a letter from the Red Prince." Aira handed her an envelope." What does he want?" Naledi asked, her voice obviously annoyed. " I don’t know, read the letter." She opened the envelope and took out the letter then started reading. She frowned and clicked her tongue. Aira got curious. " What does it say?" Naledi handed her the letter. After reading she turned to look at Naledi. " That a generous offer for such a simple mission, are you going to take it?" Naledi raised her head and looked at her. Then stood up and walked towards the door. " No, it’s most likely a trap." Aira sighed. " You could give the guy the benefit of the doubt. He’s been pursuing you for years now, I think he really likes you." Naledi scoffed. " He only want to obtain my mental tempering technique and the method to forge the eternal snow vessel. Besides, I have to prepare for my advancement to rank 4. I don’t have time for his games." Aira sighed. " I’m going to ask the others if they’re interested." Naledi didn’t answer and left. ----------------------------------------------------------- A fleet of ships cut through the Atlantic ocean like giant blades. At the forefront was a gigantic ship decorated with flames and phoenixes. On this ship, a woman bound by chains was screaming and cursing. " Captain, you have to understand, I have nothing against the beast but it’s still a beast, they’re enemies to our human race, it’s my duty as a vessel holder eliminate such a threat." A man said to her. " SHUT UP YOU TRAITOROUS PIECE OF SHIT." Screamed Angelica Belle. She was on her knees bound by chains. No matter how much she struggled, she couldn’t break free. The man she was shouting at was her vice captain. Suddenly she heard another male voice behind her, a cold chilling voice that made her body quiver with fear. " Traitorous?" A man appeared and crouched infront of her. His red hair danced in the wind and his red eyes stared directly into hers. A powerful aura that made her blood run cold eminated from his body and she could tell he wasn’t even doing it intentionally. The man continued, his voice cold yet filled with disappointment. " Ironic, you who is fighting so desperately to protect an enemy of our human race, are calling others traitors?" Angelica swallowed hard. Her body shivered from fear but she steeled her heart and glared back at him, her eyes filled with rage. " Enemy? That so called enemy faced a creature an entire rank above itself to save our lives. Some people may be ungrateful cunts, but I’m not. I do not care what race they’re from. Unlike some of us, my parents taught me to repay kindness with kindness." She looked at Sbonga while saying that. His face contorted with rage. " You ungrateful bitch, I’m trying to save your life and this is how you repay me?" He almost lunged at her but Vermillion gave him a cold glare and he stopped and backed off. Then Vermillion looked at her and outstretched his hand. " You can either stand with us, with your own or die with the beast, the choice is yours." Angelica scoffed and spit on his shoe. A dangerous aura suddenly pressed down on her like a mountain but it was not from Vermillion but from a woman with long black hair. " Enough Alya." Vermillion said. " So be it, I will make you watch as I rip out the heart of your precious beast." Then they were suddenly disturbed by an excited shout. " Lord Vermillion, I found it, I found the aura." Shouted a man carrying a disk with excitement. Vermillion smiled. " It seems you won’t have to wait for long little girl." The fleet sped up and stopped at an empty region of the sea. " This is where the aura is the strongest, the beast must’ve stayed around here for an extended period of time or it had just recently passed by here." Said the man with a disk. Alya spoke softly. " Strange, I’m detecting spacial energy around here. There must be a spacial dimension nearby." Her voice suddenly grew excited. " It could be an inheritance site, one that hasn’t been discovered yet." The moment Sbonga heard inheritance site he felt regret in his heart, if he knew he would not have informed anybody. He was certain he would not have a share with these people around. He was truly regretful. Vermillion issued commands one after another. The crew members which were made up of inmates ran around carrying out his orders. " Alya, send another letter to lady Naledi, inform her of this." Alya paused for a moment, confused by the order. " Are..are you sure my lord? That would mean sharing the inheritance." " That’s if there’s even an inheritance, besides, it would also mean sharing the danger. We have no idea what’s in there and I would rather not risk it." Alya nodded and whistled. Space bent next to her and a small pigeon came out. This was a demonic beast called a void traversing pigeon. They had zero combat ability but they were incredibly fast. And had a very strong spacial ability. She tied a letter to it leg and sent it flying. ----------------------------------------------------------- When Naledi received the letter, she almost crumbled it but showed it to the others instead. " Are you still not going?" Asked Aira. Naledi shook her head. " Whoever want to go can go but I’m not going, besides, I can feel my tribulation is close, I’m going into close door cultivation for the next year." After she said that she left. ----------------------------------------------------------- Two years later deep in an underwater hole below the sea, a giant egg suddenly crack. A huge black scaly hand with four sharp claws busted out of the crack.
