Ace, Cherry, and Jim, the three blood mutants, were currently tasked with increasing their blood mutant strength, skills, and overall energy level. Even though the three were strong back on Earth and were able to kill many Granians, they were still no match for the real deal. According to Grim, there were more aliens for them to battle, each with their own strengths. It was by pure chance that they managed to kill one of the Elite fighters, so Grim made sure to remind them of their weaknesses in order to urge them to seek more power. Currently, the three were racing against a horde of cloned aliens that were chasing Skyler Parkson, a young woman who unfortunately wasn’t a blood mutant. She was dangling from her cube while the cloned aliens ran over each other to feast on her. Unable to transform, Sky hoped and prayed that her friend and his sister would come to her rescue. [Blood Sprint Skill: Activated.] Having already had and used a skill , Ace got a head start as he sprinted towards Sky. Cherry and Jim followed shortly after, and as they got closer, they saw the cloned alien species that wanted to consume her. "What the hell is that?" Cherry and Jim said with disgust while eyeing the aliens. The creatures had bodies resembling large herbivorous animals, with legs growing from the sides of their bodies. Their legs were like crustaceans, enabling them to crawl sideways towards Sky. Their skin looked like a combination of hard, stone-like texture and a squishy green, moldy texture. Their heads were sunk deep in their bodies, with hollow eyes peering out. An acidic liquid frothed at their mouths as they made belching fart noises with a few hints of growls. As disgusting as they looked, the creatures were as large as small rhinos and moved as steadily as wildebeests. [Blood Mutant Form: Activated.] [Transformation in Progress.] Ace’s body transformed quickly as he and the aliens got closer. Cherry and Jim did the same and got to work immediately. [Blood Drain Skill: Activated.] Out of the bodies of the aliens came a thick, black, and gut-wrenchingly horrible scent that nearly knocked them out. The blood was horribly difficult to manipulate due to its glue-like viscosity. Nonetheless, the three blood mutants solidified it, forming slightly fair blood spikes. They quickly struck the first alien that got close to Sky. With a slice through the neck, the creature fell to the ground, spewing out its oily blood. Meanwhile, Ace extended his tendrils and managed to get on top of Sky’s cube. With his claw outstretched, he helped her up onto it before jumping back down. "Do you want to try turning into these ones?" he asked, but the young woman refused because the creatures were just too ugly. "What’s your plan, Ace?" Cherry and Jim asked while standing next to each other, with the aliens surrounding them, snarling and grunting, each pushing the other while trying to get a taste of the foreign flesh before them. "Just like back on Earth, we’re sticking together. If the blood’s too thick to use, control half the amount. That’s the only option we have right now." For more chapters visıt 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚫𝙣𝙚𝙩 Ace roared and frightened the creatures a little before they also roared back at him. Draining the blood from the already killed creatures, the three blood mutants created small-sized blood spikes that spun in a circular manner. One of the aliens jumped in and immediately got stabbed with hundreds of spikes through its body. The others joined in, each falling as they failed to even get closer to the blood mutants. The amount of EXP Ace earned showed that the aliens were too simple for him, and the way he and the others killed them so effortlessly began to bore them a little. Before they knew it, all the aliens were dead, their bodies drenched in their own blood with spikes sticking out from various body parts. [Transformation: Cancelled.] [Total EXP earned: 60] "That’s all of them," Jim said as they reverted to normal. "I wonder what will become of us if we face creatures that don’t have blood. Since our strength is dependent on that one factor..." {Simulation Complete.} The ship’s system announced. "What’s going on?" Sky asked as Ace helped her down. "Why did the place change all of a sudden? And what was Grim telling you guys?" "They’re putting us through a series of tests," Cherry answered. "They’re making us either test dummies or..." "They’re training us for the different terrains they’ll send us to," Jim interrupted, applying his military knowledge to the situation. "It’s just like back on Earth. Soldiers were dropped in different locations and given obstacles, objectives, and missions to complete. That form of training made the soldiers stronger and easy to adapt to certain terrains, similar to what they’re making us do right now." "Blood Mutant Soldiers," Ace said, lost in his own thoughts. "No wonder they were hell-bent on capturing us. But what problems do they want us to conquer that they can’t handle themselves?" "It just goes to prove my point," Jim continued. "These Granians, and maybe the whole galaxy, fear blood mutants. If they’re bending over backwards to put us through this training, they’re preparing for something big. A war of sorts." "There’s a problem with that, though," Cherry cut into the conversation. "If they fear blood mutants, what will happen if they sense we’re becoming too strong for them to control?" "We’ll be disposed of," Ace answered. "That means we have to secretly increase our strength but appear weak in front of them. There’s something I want to test out, and I’ll need your help. For now, let’s focus on completing this part of their plan." The simulation terrain quickly came to an end, and as they looked around the vast room, Granians appeared out of nowhere and stunned the four humans, causing them to lose consciousness.
