Three blood mutants stood close to each other while being surrounded by hundreds of creatures that were no bigger than stuffed teddy bears. The tiny beings chattered their teeth together while their jaws widened. The ones Cherry kicked and Ace slapped created a screeching noise similar to that of a siren. The creators circled the blood mutants while attempting to nibble away at their feet. Ace, not wanting to wait and see what these creatures were capable of, immediately stretched forth his long claws and began to drain the blood out of the creatures. [Blood Drain Skill Level 2: Activated.] From their tiny little bodies came tremendous amounts of blood that overwhelmed the blood mutants for a moment. In total, the blood Ace collected from almost twenty of them was half of what he drained from the Ethisian during his training session with Grim. However, even though the blood he drained was a lot, the creators were still moving, as if the literal essence of life in every living creature was not taken away from them. "They’re not dead?" Jim wondered as he too collected blood from them. "How’s this possible?" "I’m not ready to find out." Cherry stretched forth both her arms and gathered a tremendous amount which she then turned into the horizontal and vertical lines she used not so long ago. Trapping about ten of the creators in her ’trap’ she began the mechanical reaction and slaughtered the beings without mercy. Their dying sounds and screams echoed in their ears while the rest attempted to jump on her. With her attention now focused on them, Cherry made over eight spinal tendrils with sharp, jagged tips. Using her strength, she manipulated each individual tendril with skill and stabbed as many of the creators as she could while finishing off the ones she started with. Ace manipulated the amount he collected into individual blood spears with fine, edged blades. Unlike his old unevenly edged spears, these ones were crafted skillfully in order to achieve a more perfect cut in order to finish the job. Jim created two blood ring blades and threw them at the creatures’ heads. Altogether, the blood mutants had killed the tiny creatures, leaving their tiny little decapitated bodies scattered around them. "Look," Ace said to Jim and Cherry while pointing at One Horn. "He’s still up there...." "Meaning, this is not over yet." As the blood mutants came to the realization of their defeated enemies, they noticed the destroyed and scattered bodies circling in the air and attaching themselves into one large, giant meaty blob. "Never let your opponent get the time to gather their strength!!" Cherry shouted while throwing a long blood spear at the disturbing clump of meat that was growing before her eyes. As soon as the blood spear penetrated into the clump of meat, it got shot back at her at twice the speed she sent. Narrowly dodging it allowed Cherry to miss the awesome privilege of being impaled by her own attack. "It’s self-assembling into one giant being," Jim spoke with horror as the meat clump finally took the form of a real body. Its feet, no were wide as Ace’s torso, stomped heavily on the ground while the rest of its body generated into a living being. From just being meat on legs, it turned into a fully grown creator that looked nothing like the first ones they killed. Firstly, its size drastically altered. Its flesh changed from aqua blue to a soft, furry elusive texture. Its hands, which now had six fingers, were almost as long as its stubby legs with each finger having an extra joint. Its torso was so thick and compacted together that it seemed almost impossible to simply impale the creature to death. Secondly, the creature’s eyes were no longer large, black balls but were instead divided into six individual eyes with three on each side. Its skull structure changed in that instead of having one lower jaw, it now had separating jaws, both up and down, making it resemble the jaws of a snake. The beast pounded its chest repeatedly while unleashing a dangerously loud roar. The ground beneath it vibrated a little while it stomped repeatedly. ’Such power in one roar’ However, the creature was not the only one to take the form of a terrifying freak of nature. The three blood mutants before it were no joke when it came to looks. Their crescent-shaped eyes, egg-shaped heads, and talon-long teeth caused a certain level of fear in the beast, urging it to take caution when battling these three beings before it. With a roar of her own, Cherry fired individual tendrils at the creature’s head, although she did not intend on taking out any specific body parts The tendrils distracted the beast, allowing Ace and Jim to attack with precise moves. Having already gained a fair amount of information from their battles with the Ethisians, the two male blood mutants knew where to attack, how to attack, and when to attack. They could not just go for its chest, since neither knew how durable it was. They could not get anywhere close to its hands, for fear of getting caught by one of its terrifying claws. Instead, they could focus on the pressure points of its body, which were its joints, knees, neck area, and the middle of its back, precisely its spinal vertebrae. Moving it at great speed, thanks to the blood sprint technique, Jim and Ace got on either side of the beast’s body with their claws tipped with hardened blood. While Jim’s were hardened, Ace’s claws were tipped with his own blood, allowing for explosive explosions and scratches that guaranteed a good deal of damage, which they did..... As soon as Ace’s claws made contact with the creature’s body, a great explosion that only affected the creature, cost it a good deal of flesh, leaving a massive wound that the blood mutants needed for their next attack. The creature, however, was not willing to go down without putting up a fight of its own. Swinging its hands at Ace and Jim’s heads, it managed to grab them and slammed them onto the ground before attempting to stomp as hard as it could on their chests, intending on breaking through them. Unfortunately for it, the two blood mutants reverted back to normal, allowing them to slip away before transforming again. Thanks to Grim’s previous exercise, they were now able to transform in and out with such ease and at a quick rate too. Using his own blood again, Ace blew an even deeper hole inside of the beast’s body, causing it to fall onto one knee while panting in pain. Meanwhile, Cherry made quick work of the situation by draining as much blood as possible. While doing so, Jim looked over to One Horns’ direction to see if his expression would show any signs of them winning this short dual. To his dismay, the Granian was nowhere to be seen and as soon as he looked back, he saw a long, thick trail of blood latching onto Cherry’s body as it dragged her towards the creature. Being the closest, Ace turned his arm into a blade of sorts and slashed at the blood trail, only for him to get stuck in it. The two siblings, now trapped, focused their efforts on something else. Rather than trying to set themselves free from the sticky blood, they decided to act fast and destroyed the creature’s physical body. ’This is a long stretch, but I hope it works.’ [Congratulations: You have acquired three blood points. These can be used to increase your grade, increase your stats, and upgrade your skills. Certain skills require different blood points in order to be upgraded.] Scrolling through his skills while pulling back on the sticky blood trail, Ace noticed that the only skills he could upgrade were his system scan skill, which only acquired one blood point to upgrade, and his blood control skill which cost two blood points. If he chose the blood control skill, it meant he’d be able to control the blood inside of the creature, bending it to his will and manipulating its movements. As for the system scan, he had no idea what it would do if he upgraded it, but that did not stop him from upgrading it anyways. This allows you to scan specific creatures, know their names, strengths, and weaknesses. Stat points can now be gained through consuming blood, meaning you can now earn a stat point for every new blood type you consume.] ’I thought it already mentioned this back on earth?’ Ace wondered. As if it were reading his thoughts, the system responded with an answer which he found useful. [Every blood type does not mean the individual blood groups humans are used to. For every species’ new blood you consume, you will receive a stat point. Most blood will be useful while others could be fatal. Consume responsibly.] Putting the system scan skill first to use, Ace came to learn of its name, strength, and its weakness, just as the system had mentioned. {Species Name: Ancs, a species that comes together and forms one giant creature once they feel threatened.} {Strengths: Super regeneration: Sticky blood: Bone Shriek.} {Weaknesses: They cannot keep their form for very long if they’re constantly attacked.}
