Unlike the others, he decided to attack with only his blood mutant powers and certain parts of his body transformed just for his safety. Partial transformation provided him with protection and increased energy in his attacks. Blood Sprint allowed him to move faster than his normal speed and Blood Weapon gave him the liberty to create as many weapons as he could using nothing else but blood, whether his own or that of the creatures he’d kill. To further help him in the battle, he also decided to use the system scan skill on the creatures to get a better understanding of what they were, their strengths, and their weaknesses. This allowed him to drain blood from medium-sized creatures easily without having to focus too much on them. [+10 creatures killed.] [EXP earned for each:5] Having gathered a large amount of blood from the Xof he drained, Ace used some of the blood and created double-edged blood swords that he designed to cut through flesh easily. To make things more interesting, he laced the sword with his own blood in order to cause mini-explosions on their flesh, allowing the sword to further penetrate through their bodies and deliver one powerful slice. Skillfully and quickly, Ace cut as many creatures as he could without getting injured himself. Thanks to his blood sprint skill, he was able to move so fast that the creatures were finding it hard to keep up with him. Using that weakness to his advantage, he managed to kill about twelve of them swiftly and quickly. [+12 creatures killed.] ’Time to use another approach.’ He said to himself while liquifying the blood swords into blood puddles he kept hovering above his body. As soon as he did that, the Xof sensed he was no longer a threat since he did not yield those weapons anymore. Besides, he was the only one that was not bigger, larger, and more frightening than they were, making him seem like he was the weakest of them all. For a short moment, Ace stood still, using his sense of sight, hearing, and smell to help him win the battle. Quickly swerving to his right, he missed getting his face clawed off by one of the Xof that roared afterward. The creature attempted the same move again, however, Ace was prepared. Stretching out his hands, Ace sucked all the blood from the creature, spun his body, and sent it back to its head in the form of hardened blood scythe blades. The blades severed the Xof’s head off, killing it in an instant. But that wasn’t all just yet. Behind him came three more of the creatures, each moving at a considerable speed which was slow compared to Ace. In unison, they all decided to jump towards Ace’s head, almost trying to give him no room to fight back. [Blood Control Skill: Activated.] Ace stared at the creatures with his eyes wide open while his palms were pointed in their direction. Using the blood control skill, he managed to keep the creatures in one place. Now that he had control of the blood in their bodies, and given that they were lightweight, Ace subdued the creatures under his control and brought them to their knees. Two more came running from his backside, so he quickly faced them and threw the bodies of the ones he was controlling towards them. With the bodies colliding with each other, Ace coagulated the blood inside the first three he controlled, causing certain parts of their bodies to pop. He then used their blood, added it to the one he already had, and fired multiple blood spikes all at once. The spikes were targeted at the creature’s eyes, blinding them and hitting their brains at the same time, giving them a sort of painful death. Not like he cared how they died anyway. [+6 creatures killed] Ace’s body suddenly froze with his ears ringing intensely due to the magnitude of Anya’s scream. Using his hands to shield his ears, he quickly ducked to the ground and took cover while a powerful wave generated by Anya’s scream passed over him. [Your eardrums have been damaged.] [Emergency Healing in Progress.] As soon as Anya stopped screaming, Jim and Cherry leaped over Ace’s body with their tendrils piercing through the bodies of the Xof creatures. The two blood mutants ripped bodies apart, drained as much blood as they could, and used that said blood to kill the rest of the creatures that dared to come closer to them or to Ace. "Need a hand?" Cherry grinned while she tore apart a Xof with her bare hands. "You seem to be struggling back there." Ace looked at his sister with bewilderment and wondered what exactly she was saying. All he could hear were faint mumbles and a terrible ring in his ears. ’That scream’s going to be a problem for us....’ He thought to himself while getting back up on his feet. In the process, he slowly started hearing the environment around him and breathed a sigh of relief. "What were you saying?" He asked Cherry but she was already advancing forward while dealing with the last of the creatures. Behind him was Anya who was covered in tendrils on every inch of her body. With her body crouched in a squatting position, the woman placed her hands inside her midsection and suddenly jerked up, stretching her tendrils out in every direction. Thankfully, none of the tendrils made contact with Ace’s body and instead stretched towards the remaining Xof that sought to escape. With the rest of their comrades brutally killed, they started to retreat back to where they came from. Unfortunately for them, neither of the blood mutants was going to pass up the opportunity of gathering blood and instead chose to pursue the Xof creatures. ’I’ve got to score a couple more points.’ Ace thought to himself as he passed the others and headed for five more of the creatures that tried to escape. Knowing he wasn’t going to get to them before the others finished them off, Ace decided to try incorporating a couple of his blood skills into a combo move of sorts. This aspect makes it possible for you to create deadly finishers depending on how you desire to carry them out. However, you have to take into account that using two skills at the same time will drain as much energy as before, depending on the duration used and the magnitude it takes on your body.] [Combo Aspect Active.] [Skills Desired to Combine: Blood Control and Blood Weapon.] Having understood what the system said, Ace simply had to picture what he wanted to do concerning the skills. The system gave him a brief tutorial on how the combo aspect was to be used, so he was most certainly going to try it out. Copying the tutorial for now, Ace stretched out both his hands and let his veins pop. A great amount of blood seeped out into the open before it started to swirl around his body. The swirling blood resembled a mechanical drill and the noise it produced made it sound like one as well. This was a weapon he called a blood drill, created with the purpose of drilling into larger opponents. The second skill, Blood Control, caused the spiraling blood around Ace’s arms to drain the blood from the Xof that tried escaping. The blood control skill attracted the blood inside of the Xof towards Ace’s blood drill. This way, he would be able to get the amount he needed while the creatures would have their bodies severed and ground up into mushy chunks of flesh.
