[The Planet is not as desolate as you think. There are dozens of lifeforms crawling within the [Quest: Survive the attacks that will unfold and successfully manage to escape. This is not a reward-based quest for the thing that is at stake here is your own life.] ’My own life?’ Cherry, who was standing next to her brother, noticed how scared he was as he stared at the ground without moving a single muscle. The young woman noticed how her brother’s breathing increased, how his muscles twitched and tensed, and how his eyes kept scanning the entire area they were in. ’Does the system somehow know about the circumstances I’m about to go through? Tch, of course, it does. How else would it design the quests thrown at me?’ "You look like you’ve seen a ghost." Cherry coldly said to her brother while staring at him. "I take it that you’re sensing it too?" "Sensing what?" Ace asked, surprised that Cherry was also sensing an unsettling presence on the planet-like moon. "You feel it too, right? There’s something else here. Something we’ve never faced before." "Don’t get too ahead of yourself," Cherry answered as she transformed. This prompted Ace to do the same for neither he nor his sister knew what to expect. "Every creature we face is something we’ve never faced before." [System Scan Skill: Activated.] Just like the last time, a red line moved from Ace’s body and dispersed into a grid-like pattern across the surface of the moon. Thankfully, the line also managed to scan two inches of the ground beneath, revealing an uneasy presence that was beneath them. [Blood Weapon Skill: Activated.] Without wasting a single second, Ace quickly made a large blood shield which he used to cover himself. While doing so, he grabbed his sister and drew her towards him while they hid behind the blood armor. The ground beneath them burst open with massive chunks of rocks and dry dust scattering all over. Ace and Cherry were blasted off the ground, and if it wasn’t for the armor Ace made, they would have most likely lost a couple of limbs in the process. *WHAAAAAAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEE* Fınd the newest release on 𝔫𝔬𝔳𝔢𝔩•𝗳𝗂𝗋𝖾•𝕟𝕖𝕥 ’Oh my God!!’ The two blood mutants, who were still floating higher in the air, widened their eyes in bewilderment as they beheld the horrifying sight of the colossal titan rummaging through the moon’s crust. The creature was built similar to a crustacean with a thick, metallic red carapace providing its crab-shaped body with protection. Its eyes, six in number, were as long as giant cucumbers and as black as polished obsidian. The titan had eight claws, each being bigger than the others. With eight segmented legs as well, the creature looked like heavily mutated crabs from fictional tales. As much as the creature looked majestic, its tiny eight legs were so small that they could not carry its massive body around. To combat this shortcoming, the titan of a crab would burrow into the ground, hence the reason for Ace’s system warning him. "Look at the size of that thing!!" "We better forget about the size and decide how we’re going to land, Ace!!’ Cherry screamed in her blood-mutant form while creating as many tendrils as possible. As they were falling back to the ground, the titan raised one of its eight claws and attempted to snap both Ace and Cherry in half. [Blood Spray Skill: Activated.] Using the blood spray skill propelled Ace’s body away from the crab’s line of action and into a different course, allowing him and Cherry to crash somewhere else. Thankfully, Cherry’s tendrils had managed to cushion their fall, enabling them to not sustain any injuries in the process. "How are we going to beat this thing?" Cherry asked as she and Ace faced the crab in their blood-mutant forms. Having not expected a creature took them by surprise and now, they were struggling to find ways of dealing with it. "I don’t know," Ace answered while trying to fully grasp what their mission was. "I don’t even know if we’re supposed to regain this colony or if we’re supposed to beat this thing. " "What do you think we should do?" Cherry asked again, although her heart was set on killing the titan crab thing. "I say we should test our luck and see how much damage we can cause on this thing. Imagine the amount of blood we can get from it." "I don’t think we can survive attacking this thing..." Ace mumbled softly while rereading his system’s quest notification. [The Planet is not as desolate as you think. There are dozens of lifeforms crawling within the [Quest: Survive the attacks that will unfold and successfully manage to escape. This is not a reward-based quest for the thing that is at stake here is your own life.] "My system always gauges my strength and gives me quests to test it." He went on to explain why going against the titan wasn’t a good idea. "If it tells me to survive, I know it’ll be an extremely difficult battle. If it tells me to survive and escape, then I know it won’t involve me fighting but fleeing for my life." ’Hold on a second. Did it say...dozens?’ Once again, the ground beneath the two siblings started to rumble and quake as chunks of dirt and gravel broke out in different areas. From the ground emerged small-scaled crab-like beasts, each moving in pairs of twelve. The two blood mutants felt anxious and excited but also scared at the same time for the number of the creatures they had to kill just kept on increasing. The two weren’t even sure if there was a mine anywhere for them to ’regain’ as the Granians commanded them to. Since they couldn’t see any in sight, they figured that the Granians just sent them to exterminate the crabs as a form of special training for both of them. [The smaller creatures seem to be worthy opponents.] [Side Quest: Whilst making your great escape, use this opportunity to score as many experience points as possible. This can be a chance for you to stock up on experience points and level up.] "Well, do you still want to second guess these ones?" Cherry asked with frustration mounting up. Not waiting for her brother’s response, she quickly grew her arms into large and long blood blades with barbs on the side. Given that the crabs had a thick carapace, Cherry designed the weapon to break through their armor and dismember their insides with ease. [Blood Sprint Skill: Activated.] Ace and Cherry decided to escape from the crab titan and instead chose to focus on the smaller ones, seeing that they were easier to kill. At the speed they were moving, the two initiated an intense blood bath, slicing, dicing, dismembering, and decapitating as many of the crabs as possible. To their surprise, the creatures had surprisingly soft shells and most of their bodies were not protected at all. All it would take was a simple chef’s knife to go through and kill them on the spot. As Ace and Cherry engaged in the battle against the smaller crab-like creatures, their blood-mutant forms enabled them to slice through their opponents with ease. The ground beneath them was quickly stained with the creatures’ blue-colored blood as they fought fiercely to survive while moving further away from the titan. Cherry’s blood blades cleaved through the crabs’ shells like a hot knife through butter, while Ace created multiple blood spears which he used to impale the creatures. The siblings moved in harmony, their movements almost dance-like as they coordinated their attacks flawlessly. The few moments of training they had with Grim and One Horn were starting to pay off and Ace’s integration of his system while in combat aided them even more. Even though they were able to take down several of them, more kept emerging from the ground with their numbers increasing with each passing second. The battle was turning into a relentless onslaught, and Cherry and Ace could feel the exhaustion creeping in. "We can’t keep doing this forever you know." Ace shouted while creating a blood wall around himself and his sister. He’d then create spikes on the walls which he’d fire at any creature that got closer to them. "Our bodies will give out soon. It’s bad enough that the planet’s cold." Cherry nodded, her breath heavy but determined. "I know, but we also can’t let them overrun us. We need to create an opening." As they fought, Cherry noticed that the ground was not only trembling from the creatures’ emergence but also from the colossal crab titan’s movements in the distance. It seemed distracted as if it hadn’t fully noticed the presence of the blood mutants yet. An idea formed in Cherry’s mind. "Ace, follow my lead," Cherry said as she leaped high into the air, using her blood tendrils to propel herself towards a nearby cliff that was formed from the constant shifting of the ground. Ace quickly followed suit, using his blood spray to gain altitude while killing a couple other creatures in the process [+20 Creatures Killed.] [Level 32: 122/120>>> Level 33: 2/130] Having gotten a bit of breathing room, Ace and Cherry reverted to their human forms and caught their breaths while still keeping a bit of blood on their bodies to shield them from the cold. "Look at that," Ace pointed out after noticing a strange pattern. "The smaller crabs are coming from the larger one. I don’t think it’s failing to walk. I think it’s hatching these things right now." "What are you suggesting?" Cherry asked. "You want us to go for it? Won’t that contradict what you just said?" "No...well yes, but follow my lead. I’ve got a plan."
