As Anya’s monstrous form roared and her attention fixed on Jim, the situation seemed dire. The relentless crab creatures continued to snap their pincers at him, forcing him to take action. Jim quickly assessed his options and realized that he needed to divert their attention away from himself. With a surge of determination, Jim unleashed a burst of blood from his blood mutant form, creating a shockwave-like crescent of blood that killed the closest crabs. He then sprinted away from Anya, who saw this as a hunt and initiated a chase. His actions caused a ripple effect among the creatures, some of which began to follow Jim with the intent to snip at his flesh, while others remained entangled with the raging Anya who killed each one effortlessly. Jim had a plan, though it was a risky one. He led the crab creatures away from Anya towards himself to create a gap between him and her. That way, he’d be able to gather as much blood as he needed in order to subdue Anya until she regained her consciousness. Using his agile golden blood mutant form allowed him to dodge their snapping pincers and lead them on a wild chase as he slaughtered one after the other. Meanwhile, Anya’s rampage continued without any signs of stopping. Her blood tendrils lashed out in every direction, striking down any creature that ventured too close. But with each attack, her monstrous form became increasingly erratic, and her control over her own power seemed to fade away even further. It got to the point where she became as brutal as a senseless beast that only lived to kill and killed to live. Jim knew he couldn’t let this chaos continue. He needed to find a way to subdue Anya and force her to regain control over herself. As he led the crab creatures farther away, he managed to create a large pool of blood beneath him mixed with the dirt and gravel on the moon’s surface. Now that he had gotten what he needed, Jim persevered with his plan and waited for the chance to strike. As soon as Anya stepped into the pool of blood, Jim placed his hands in the pool and focused all of his energy into one move. Anya, at first, saw this behavior as strange and given that she was no longer in control, he curiosity was intensely high and her sense of danger was nonexistent. "Got you!!" Letting out a roar of his own, Jim made the blood pool generate hundreds of tendrils with hardened tips with blood that had dirt in them. Upon seeing this, Anya angrily opened her mouth and prepared to scream. Jim anticipated her to perform such a stunt, and now that she did, he quickly fired all the tendrils at Anya and wrapped her body and mouth shut. At first, the woman tried liquifying all the blood, but Jim had strategically wrapped her hands, preventing her from doing so. Anya squirmed and struggled to set herself free, but the tendrils wrapped around her prevented her from doing so. Meanwhile, Jim dealt with the last of the crabs by stabbing their bodies and draining them of every ounce of blood in them. After doing so, he used that same blood to reinforce his tendrils before finally squeezing Anya hard enough until she became completely immobile. Now that he managed to do so, Jim reverted to normal and regained some of the energy he had used up. Still uncertain about his mission objective, he sat down on the moon’s cold surface and replenished himself a little. Going over the M.O.S. enabled him to understand what the objective truly meant. Unlike the planet with intelligent life on it, the moon he was on had nothing more than brute beasts, which were surprisingly easy to kill. The mission was to regain the colony, meaning that they had to kill the crabs in order to complete the mission. This all came to a realization after his M.O.S. congratulated him on doing so. {Mission Objective Complete.} Meanwhile, Back on the Mother Ship, Grim and the Granian experts continued to observe the situation with keen interest. Grand Master watched silently, his scaly fingers placed on his face as he made his remarks on the events that just unfolded. "It seems we have quite the spectacle," Grim remarked. "These humans are proving to be even more fascinating than we anticipated." The expert nodded in agreement. "Yes, and it appears that the golden one has managed to subdue the female one. It’s a wonderful phenomenon to witness. Her evolution is really interesting and quick. If the others could evolve like her, I estimate that they would eventually surpass the other two sooner than expected. For more chapters visıt 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚫𝙣𝙚𝙩 Grand Master’s reptilian eyes glinted with intrigue. "They’ve managed to complete their objectives. Send out two collection units, Grim. Have the Miners begin immediately. We’ll move on to the next colonies after the Blood Mutants have rested. Does that make things clear?" Back on the moon’s surface, Jim stood up on his feet as he saw a ship landing not so far from where he was. From it emerged Grim and Huntress with a couple of other Granians ready to provide support in case the female blood mutant lost control once more. "What exactly was the point of sending us here without making the mission clear?" He asked as the Granians surrounded him and Anya. "You could have been straightforward with us." "You’re right about that," Grim answered. "But if we did, your friend wouldn’t have evolved into what she is now." "What exactly did she transform into?" Jim asked. "I remember Ace going through something like that where he lost control, but it wasn’t similar to what she went through." "It’s a long process to explain." Huntress answered. "It has something to do with the boy’s blood inside of her. His blood, which was already strengthened by his symbiote, and the catalyst you two suggested is what made her transformation possible." "Do all blood mutants go through that?" Jim asked, wondering if he’d have to go through the same thing as Ace and Anya. "Almost every species increases their ranks. You humans have it too, but it’s on an extremely weak scale. One day, the same thing will happen to you. However, not every creature achieves the highest rank. Some make it to the top, while others only move up by one rank in their lifetimes." "Now, if you’ll step down and release her, we’ll get the four of you transported to your next destination." Grim said without giving Jim a chance to drop down his tendrils. Using mutant blockers, both blood mutants were no longer able to perform any blood skills, meaning Anya turned back to her human form. The other Granians that surrounded Jim and Anya transported them onto the ship and departed back to the Mother Ship. Meanwhile, Ace and Cherry were also approached by One Horn and Grand Master who congratulated them on the impressive show they had put on. The countless bodies freezing on the moon’s surface and the massive titan of a carcass behind them were truly mesmerizing for the Granians. "I do commend both of you for your teamwork." Grand Master congratulated the two siblings. "You managed to incorporate your skills and each other, something I’m sure we didn’t guide you into so much, correct?" "Can we leave now?" Cherry asked, not giving a damn to what the Granian was saying. "It’s cold and my chest hurts." "In a moment." One Horn spoke on Grand Horn’s behalf. "First, we need to brief you on your weaknesses. Ace, your system gives you a massive advantage over your peers. It is important that you utilize it. It is a very powerful tool that’s bound to make you exceedingly strong. Study it carefully and use it effectively. "For you, Cherry, you have to calm down a little. Your brother acts cowardly with his power but you’re overconfident. That overconfidence will get you seriously injured. Before jumping into a fight, first assess your enemy. You and I are going to work on that aspect and correct it. Cannot afford to have you die because of it. "Other than that, you two have managed to complete your first objective successfully. Please, step into the ship and we’ll get moving." With that said, the blood mutants were transported back to the Granian Mother Ship while the Miners immediately set up base on the Planet and its two moons. Now that they had their colonies back, the Granians anticipated a sudden attack from the Ethisians. Since they were the ones who stole the colony from the Granians, the Granians anticipated an attack on any of their colonies at any given time. With that already at the back of their minds, their priorities were not set on creating enough fleets to combat the Ethisians and prepare the blood mutants for what was ahead of them, especially Ace and Cherry.
