"GET OUT OF THERE, RIGHT NOW!!" Grim shouted as all the corpses surrounding the building lit up and exploded. The blast was so strong and powerful that it shook the building’s foundations. Grim quickly dug his sword into the ground and used it as an anchor to keep him from being blown away. As the blasts raged on, he was hit by loose, flying debris which bounced off his tough armor. The building’s columns shook and broke, causing it to become extremely unstable. The explosion caused the ground to shake, dust almost twenty feet high rose and blinded Grim’s vision. The booming, catastrophic noise deafened him for a moment but he still gripped as hard as he could onto his sword’s handle. After about five minutes of intense explosions went by, the dust started to settle, the ground stopped shaking, and the explosions were no more. Looking ahead, Grim noticed how the columns that supported the building were damaged beyond repair, however, the building was still standing. A portion of the inner columns were still standing, but they couldn’t hold all the pressure and weight of the building. "Huntress, One Horn," Grim spoke through the communicator he possessed, "Leave the building as quickly as possible." "Lord Grim," Huntress answered with a lifeless voice. "You have to come inside, quickly. There’s something that needs your immediate attention." "Are the rest of you alright?" Grim asked, being more concerned about their welfare. "Have you encountered any more Ethisians?" "Just come quickly please." Huntress said and then cut communications. Without hesitation, Grim leaped into the building and was greeted by the sight of dead bodies on the ground. The bodies belonged to different species with a couple of them being a few Granians. "Granians? When did these ones get here?" "Lord Grim, please follow me." Huntress called out and led Grim through a fleet of stairs to the floor above them. The room was dark, dusty, and stained with blood everywhere. On the floors were countless bodies mounted on top of each other with countless inanimate objects stuck inside their bodies. What was frightening was the fact that the bodies had no blood in them. In fact, most of the blood in the room was either hardened into a projectile or creatively spilled on the walls. The bodies were so drained of every drop of blood within them that they started resembling mummified corpses. Neither of the blood mutants present had the strength to drain blood to the extent of leaving empty husks behind. ’Just how powerful are those two?’ "They were here." The three Granians spoke amongst themselves. "The Ethisian Blood Mutants were here. Judging from these blood stains, it seems they were present a few days ago, perhaps a week." "And look, they left the documentaries behind so technically, this planet is still under our control." One Horn added. "But why would they do this if their intention was not to take over the colony?" "It’s a message," Grim answered. ’This whole expedition has been too easy for us. The Ethisians we killed were clones, not the real ones. That explains why it was so easy to kill them." "And there weren’t so many of them." Huntress continued. "But does that mean our conquest is complete? Do we get to return?" With a bit of dramatic silence, Grim assessed the situation before making a final judgment. "We’ll return immediately." He answered while giving commands on what was to be done next. "As we speak, I’ve already called for reinforcements to guard and protect the colony. The rest of us will be able to return home. More of this will be discussed later." "Not quite," Grim answered. "I hope you’ve noticed how mangled these bodies are. It goes to show how powerful the other blood mutants are. Let this be a reason for you to strengthen your skills." Ace, Cherry, Jim, and Anya remained quiet as they observed the bodies and their state. The four blood mutants had killed before and even drained blood easily, but none of their victims were as brutally destroyed as these were. It was just so gruesome and horrifying knowing that something so powerful was roaming wild and free. ’Just how powerful are these things?’ Ace wondered as he reverted back to normal. Squatting over the bodies, he held out his hand and tried draining blood to notice if there was anything left. ’There’s completely nothing in them. They were drained bone dry. Not to forget, the agony on their faces is unlike anything I’ve ever seen.’ "Well, this is where your journey ends for now." Huntress shrieked while effortlessly knocking out the four blood mutants. "Can’t let you see where our home planet is, ahahaha!!!" While the Granians carried the humans away and safeguarded the colony as their own, two beings, being great lengths away from the Granians, were watching the whole event unfold, even though they couldn’t see so clearly. The smiles on their faces grew wider as they saw the four blood mutants doing what they did before the explosion was set off and then carried away onto a Granian ship "They went to Earth, after being commanded not to." The first being said to the other with a grin on his face. "And they’ve gotten four blood mutants, two being hybrids of the others." "They’re human too, right?" "Of course, my dear." He answered. "Not only have the Granians violated the law they swore to abhor, they’ve gone back to Earth and returned with four humans. The Council isn’t going to be pleased with this. At least we spread the message." "I’m glad to see other humans at last. I hope they’ll be strong too." The second, who was a female, smiled intently while they both stared at the Granian ships moving in and out of the planet. "Do you think they’ll join us, or will they only be completely brainwashed by the Granians." "That is none of my concern. "The first answered. "We have to report back to The Council as soon as possible. War is coming upon us soon."
