Three worms, each roughly the size of the Empire State Building, lunged into the four Blood Mutants beneath them. The Blood Mutants quickly sprinted away, avoiding getting hit by the beasts. Ace and Cherry decided to head inside the mouths of the beasts while Anya and Jim climbed to the top of the beasts. "Follow my lead, Acey boy." Cherry screamed in laughter while using her tendrils to latch onto the side of the worm’s face. Ace did the same and together, they were lifted into the air as the beast lifted its head. "Quick, get in!!" Cherry swung through the beast’s mouth and Ace did the same. As soon as they were in, their noses were hit with the most gut-wrenching, nose-crippling, hair-burning stench they had ever smelt before. Even worse, the worm’s mouth was filled with loose pieces of rotting flesh and sand mixed with its sticky, slimy saliva. "So, how do we do this?" Cherry asked, clearly clueless about where to start. "I thought you wanted me to follow your lead." Ace laughed. "We go deeper. We should leave tendrils wrapped around its teeth, lest we lose our footing and slide into its stomach." "Let’s do it then." Cherry smiled as a tendril from her back wrapped around one of the beast’s teeth. Ace did the same and together slid deeper into the beast’s mouth. The dark, wide, and empty cavity, with a stinky drafting wind, welcomed them to the beast’s throat which was massively wide. It was so wide and large that Ace and Cherry looked like fruit flies inside a whale’s mouth. The two blood siblings slit their wrists open and bled out as much as possible. They gathered their own blood and turned it into small bloodballs. In total, they gathered about thirty blood balls each and began to throw them deeper into the beast’s mouth. Ace strategically cut and inserted the balls into the softer upper parts of the roof of the beast’s mouth while Cherry laced them around the throat’s walls. "They’re all set." Ace said while taking a couple of steps back. "LET’S MAKE AN EXPLOSION, BROTHER!!!" Cherry roared as her blood balls and Ace’s glowed a bright pink color. Using the explosive blood technique, the two unleashed a powerful explosion inside the beast’s body. The explosions were as powerful as one-eighth of an atomic bomb and although it didn’t seem like much, the explosions certainly did create some devastating damage. From the pits of the worm came an extremely powerful roar that nearly blew the Blood Mutants out of the worm’s stomach. If it wasn’t for their quick thinking of using blood tendrils to latch onto the creature, they would have been blown out at incredible speeds and who knows how it would have ended. "It’s working." Cherry laughed as blood, in great volumes, poured on her and Ace. "Now Ace!!" The two siblings stood opposite each other and started shifting and manipulating all the blood gushing toward them into massive blood spikes. It took a lot of time, concentration, and energy to do so but they persisted. Soon enough, the two had six, thick and long spikes with barbs on all sides. The tips were laced with their own blood, making them even more dangerous. Together, the two showed the six spikes down the throat of the beast, and as soon as the spikes made contact with flesh, the explosive blood would quickly shutter the spikes and sed projectiles in every direction. The beast’s throat expanded and contracted with a bright pink light flashing repeatedly. The beast’s larynx was damaged by the explosions, followed by its esophagus tearing and ripping apart. Great volumes of blood filled its body, causing it to swell and suffer from internal injuries. While the Blood Mutant sibling duo worked together to kill the beast from the inside, Anya and Jim were making their way to the top of another beast, using their claws to latch onto the softer chunks of flesh. Once on top, Jim quickly got to work by cutting certain sections of the beast’s body. With tendrils latched deep into it, he managed to stay steadfast, unwavering from where he stood. Left right, left right, left right, left right, he sliced and diced at the creature’s back while Anya gathered every drop, turning each one into long blood blades. Their plan was simple. Since this beast was shaped like the worms on Earth, it had a hard layer of keratin scales on the outer layer covering a softer body. With them on top, they were going to work through the scales until they got to the softer body. Once there, the two would run along the beast while touching its body and manipulate as much blood as they could from its insides. This would not only cause a large scar but also lead it to die from blood loss. A flawless plan, but not so easy at the same time. "Look, Ace and Cherry seem to have gotten the beast." Anya pointed at the beast Ace and Cherry were in, specifically pointing at its bleeding mouth. Its body glowed a faint pink glow with certain parts bulging and contracting. "Seems they’re using their explosive blood technique." "That would come in handy for us." Jim smirked, having cut a hole large enough for him and Anya to crawl in. "You ready?" "Ready." Anya monotonously answered, using her tendrils to open the wound even further as she slipped in. After pushing through a whitish-pink layer, the two were finally in a cramped space between the scales and the beast’s soft body. The space was white, the scales being transparent enough to let light in. The soft underbody was as white as milk and as soft as tofu. "Just as I suspected." Jim remarked. "Its soft body’s vulnerable. Let’s get to work." Anya halved the blades she made, giving one to Jim while keeping the other for herself. Together, they both ran in opposite directions, their blood blades penetrating the creature’s body. As they ran, they’d collect every drop of blood that was spilled and thrust it back inside the beast’s body. This made their weapons grow stronger and in return caused deeper, longer, and larger cuts. After a few short minutes, the two blood mutants were halfway through with the beast, their plan working out smoothly so far. However, something unexpected happened for their plan to cause discomfort did not go unnoticed. The beast, unable to scratch off whatever it was that was cutting it, burrowed back into the ground. As it did so, it banged its body as hard as it could in hopes of crushing Jim and Anya. Both Blood Mutants were caught off guard and were occasionally crushed under the intense weight of the beast’s scales. Jim slipped inside the wounds and penetrated from the inside while Anya angrily persisted. Using her claws, she’d latch onto the creature’s body as her tendrils pushed back the scales. "Damn it. Little piece of...sh*t’s making this harder than it needs to be." Anya cussed, clearly frustrated by the beast. "Fine, you want to be a smart ass, be a smart ass." Her sights were now focused on the beast’s head, her goal had changed from slicing it sideways to damaging its nervous system. "ANYA, WAIT!!" Jim caught sight of what Anya was doing and sought to warn her. However, the female Blood Mutant was stubborn and refused to cooperate. The closer she got to the beast’s head, the darker it became due to it being submerged inside. This, however, wasn’t going to stop Anya. She was more than determined to destroy the beast’s nervous system. It would be a quick and effective death both for her and the creature. "If I followed Jim’s plan, it would take us all day." She said to herself while squeezing through the narrow cracks between the worm’s neck and head. "There it is." A few meters away from her was a thick, round jelly-like layer of flesh that surrounded the worm’s body as if it were a turtle neck sweater. Anya quickly got to work, cut the flesh open and slipped in like a parasite. Her body, reinforced with edgy pieces of hardened blood, enabled her to push through until she was able to get into the worm’s blood system. "WOW!!" She screamed while holding onto flesh, keeping herself from falling into the gushing current of blood. "This must be its main vein leading blood to its brain." An evil idea latched itself into Anya’s mind as she started to harden as much blood as she could. The blood vein was too wide for her to easily cut, so she decided to create tough shards of blood which would flow with the blood. With time, the shards would fuse together and cause blood coagulation, thus limiting the supply of blood to the worm’s brain. "Here goes nothing." Anya quickly got to work, her tentacles holding her above the vein as she focused her hands to solidify as much blood as she could. Her blood control power wasn’t as great as the others, but it was still enough to harden great amounts of blood into solid pieces. "If you want it to work much faster, allow me to join." Jim, who had followed Anya slowly and caught up to what she was doing, spoke as he too used tendrils to suspend him over the vein and used his hands to focus as much as he could to harden as much blood as he could. "Let’s finish this. I’ll follow your lead."
