Four Blood Mutants, having scared off a couple of beasts in the middle of their mating ritual, found themselves at the frontline of a stampede. Having killed three of the five beasts, the other two seemed to have headed back into the deeper parts of the forest to call for either backup or help to start a stampede. The Mutants, having just killed the beasts, felt the ground beneath them rumbling. The leaves shook greatly, their legs vibrated along with the ground, and looking ahead, they noticed an exceptionally large number of beasts running towards them at full speed. "Well, since you three successfully killed that one, you’re each going to kill one of your own!!" Ace pointed at the beasts running at them, prompting his fellow Mutants to get themselves ready. The Mutants remained focused, their hands ready to strike down whatever beasts attacked them while their feet remained on ’stand-by,’ ready to boost them away from the swinging dangerous tails of the beasts. "Here they come!!" they puffed their chests and roared loudly as a way to assert their dominance. The first beast approached them, and with its tail ready, it slammed as hard as it could. However, the beast wasn’t aiming at either of the Mutants but rather the other beast behind it. This behavior was strange and bizarre, almost as if the beasts were sending out a warning. Nonetheless, the Mutants were ready. With their hands above their heads, they got ready to strike. Blood blades and spikes struck the ground, causing cuts, rips, and tears. The Mutants kept on swinging and swinging, their eyes only focused on their weapons. However, Ace noticed something strange about the beasts and ordered the others to stop. "They’re...running around us." He spoke to the others, pointing at the beasts that avoided them. All of a sudden, it dawned upon the Mutants that something else was coming their way, something so large, scary, and frightening that made these beasts run. "They were not running to us," Anya spoke. "They are running away from something else. Something more...." *SHHHHRRRRRRRRRRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAKKKKKKK* With just one roar, the Mutants were thrown off balance and blown off from where they stood. The surrounding beasts were also lifted off the ground and slammed into the trees and bushes. They didn’t see what caused it nor understood what it was, but for some reason, its roar alone was so powerful that their bodies were lifted away as if a great wind storm had taken place. Getting back up on their feet, the Mutants looked ahead, hoping to see what exactly roared so powerfully at them. Meanwhile, the beasts that were also blown away ran for their lives, caring less about the Mutants that would kill them if given the chance. "Did any of you get an eye on what made that sound?" Cherry asked fearfully, her monstrous body shaking at this point. Her brother, upon sensing her distress, stood in front of her as a way to act like he would provide protection. "That scream. I-it sounds like Anya’s scream but like...like..." "Like there’s ten of her..." Newest update provıded by 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵※𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮※𝓷𝓮𝓽 A pure look of fear could be seen on the four Mutants. Neither wished to explore to see what created that scream, and they could sense its presence surrounding them. If they did not move in time, IT would attack them next. "Let’s get out of here and move around it!!" Jim warned, and they all agreed, neither wanting to stick around to find out. However... [Kill at least one of The Screamers to obtain five Blood Points.] Ace’s eyes, upon reading his system’s notification, widened due to the dangerous quest his system set for him. As much as he did not want to complete the quest, Ace felt compelled to fight The Screamers just so he could get not just one but Five Blood Points. ’If just killing one gives me five, I can get enough points to level up by killing two.’ He thought to himself while looking in the direction from where the screams came from. ’A quest with such a reward can only mean one thing...’ After studying his system for a while, Ace came to learn something about its ’quests.’ Depending on its phrasing, he was able to know if the quests would be easy, difficult, close to life-ending, or just too impossible to complete. If it said ’Kill such and such’ for a small reward, he deduced that the quest would be easy to complete. If the reward was slightly large, it would be quite a challenging quest. If it started with the phrase ’Survive,’ it meant that he wouldn’t have to fight whatever was surrounding him but instead survive its attacks. This quest, however, was much different. Not only did it start with the phrase ’Kill,’ it also granted a large reward too great for him to pass up. [System Scan: Unavailable.] ’Looks like there’s not going to be an easy way out of this one.’ He sighed, having been rejected the chance to use the system scan so he’d know what he was to fight. ’Fine. Let’s do it.’ "COME ON, ACE." Having noticed her brother phasing out in one place, Cherry ran back to grab Ace by his hand. Just as she was about to make contact with it, Ace took a step back, faced the direction from which the screams came, and sprinted towards it. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" "Leave him!!!" Jim answered. "We’re clearly not at his strength level. If your brother wants to die, let him die. We are not going in there to..." Cherry sneered with disgust at Jim and followed Ace. She may have not been at the same strength level as Ace, but she certainly was as daring as he was, if not more. "Should we go after them?" Anya asked, feeling compelled to follow the Mutant Siblings. Jim simply stared at her with no response, having no idea what to answer. "I’m not about to lose my life just yet." The Golden Blood Mutant spoke and ran away from the screams. Anya, having contemplated for a moment, followed Jim for she too was too scared to face The Screamers.
