The five Humans stood in one of the Granian ships while watching Lord Grim, One Horn, and Helda jump out from the ship and slam their bodies through the enemy ships down below. With the help of Eneraflux, they were able to quickly dismantle the enemy ships and clear a somewhat clear path for their ships to go through. Skyler and the rest watched in awe, impressed by the bravery the three Granians had. Even though they were hundreds of thousands of feet high in the air, they jumped from one ship to the other, almost oblivious to the altitude they were in. Thanks to their small size, the Granians were harder targets to shoot down, and their weapons, reinforced with Eneraflux, became twice as deadlier than they normally were. "Instruct the Mutants to leave now!!" Lord Grim sent orders through the communicator in his ear to those on board the Granian ship, allowing the Mutants to leave. "That’s our cue to leave!!" Cherry cheered and leaped out first, her arms and legs spread apart with the wind slapping her face and waving her orange hair all around. Jim and Anya followed, their hands crossed in X positions on their chests while their legs remained close together. "Aren’t you going next?" Ace asked, waiting for Skyler to leave. The red-haired woman looked nervous, almost as if she was afraid of heights. "Are you afraid of heights?" "No, I’m afraid of slamming into the ground head first. I can’t fly, remember?" "Then grab on," Ace pointed at his back. "I’ll take us down safely." His body transformed into his Blood Bishop form with four tentacles made to safely keep Skyler’s body onto Ace’s. Skyler bravely latched herself on Ace’s body, her hands resting on his tense, bulging wet muscles as her head rested on his back. She could hear his heart beating in a disoriented and uneven pattern. Skyler listened closer and noticed that each beat happened within an interval of three seconds. ’Has he learned how to slow his heart down?’ she wondered. ’Or maybe it’s something to do with this Blood Mutant form.’ "Brace yourself!!" Almost without nothing but a half-baked warning, Ace leaped out of the ship, his head aimed downwards with his hands crossed over his chest. The Mutants passed the Granians who followed shortly after with their ships not too far behind. Before hitting the ground, Lord Grim stretched forth his aura and latched onto each of them, slowly slowing them down and getting them onto solid ground safely. "The Air Fleets will handle the enemy ships," Lord Grim quickly briefed them while taking the lead with Helda. "Enemy troops will be down on us any minute from now. You Mutants must stay in those forms at all costs." While speaking, the cold, red soil beneath them started to vibrate vigorously. Not too far ahead of them were thousands of troops marching on foot with a few following in vehicles designed for war. The vehicles had tractor-like treads with cone-shaped bodies outlined with turrets. Those on the side were shaped similarly to Granians, only they were smaller and had smoother skin. Unlike the first creatures killed earlier, these ones had more sophisticated weaponry, machinery, and even armor that wasn’t made from pieces of scrap metal. "They seem much smarter than the first ones," Ace spoke to himself, his hands itching to try new moves on his soon-to-be victims. Meanwhile, the two Granian ships landed, and out came even more fleets of Granian soldiers. A total of three thousand soldiers were present, each dressed in the same armory they had when on Earth. With war vehicles as well, they were more than ready to destroy their enemies...reasons best known to themselves and their leaders. "GRANIANS, MUTANTS!!" Lord Grim screamed, his hand raised over his head with his sword gripped tightly in his hands. "ADVANCE AND DESTROY!!" The Blood Mutants, and Skyler, roared loudly and aggressively while leading the others into battle. With Ace at the front, Jim and Anya on his left, and Cherry and Skyler on their right, they acted as their first line of attack, using their Gifted abilities and blood powers to kill whatever was ahead of them. Shots were fired, weapons were thrust, and shields were drawn to deflect said shots. The Mutants, running behind body-long shields, slammed into the Granian enemy forces and quickly got to work. ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹⟡𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮⟡𝙣𝙚𝙩 Ace raised his hands, activated his Blood Control technique, and got to work. About ten of the lizard creatures surrounded him, each with a projectile in their hands. Ace closed his palms and coagulated their blood, causing their hearts to forcefully pump and eventually overwork into cardiac shock. Their bodies were tossed aside, and the blood inside of them was drained and turned into blades. Ace dispersed the collected blood to his comrades while going for another batch of victims. However... "TAKE COVER!!" Anya warned while pointing in the direction of one of the vehicles. Those that drove it aimed their turrets at the Mutants and opened fire immediately, giving them almost no chance to protect themselves. Using her quick thinking, Anya took in a deep breath and screamed as loud as she could at the vehicle, forcing it to tip over to its side. However, while in the middle of her screaming, Anya dropped her guard and failed to notice another vehicle aiming its turrets from her right-hand side. By the time she noticed it, a blast of energy flew through her shoulder, shocking her entire body until she lay down unconscious with a gaping wound gushing with great amounts of blood. Upon seeing this, Jim and Ace threw blood projectiles through the ship, instantly killing those inside as Cherry lifted Anya’s body. "Take her to the ship at once," Grim commanded, angered that one of the Mutants was injured. "The rest of you should not make a mistake as foolish as that one." [Avenge your fallen comrade.
