"M-my...my hands....they’re shaking..." Eronis and Commander stood in the command post tent when suddenly, their bodies were overwhelmed by an unholy fear. A fear that neither of them had experienced in a long while. The feeling took a toll on their bodies with Eronis’ hands shaking, her legs ’freezing’, and her body shivering. Commander’s heart couldn’t stop racing at that moment even though he hadn’t seen anything that would warrant him to feel that way. The two turned back slowly, Eronis being the first to look. Her eyes witnessed the bloody scene of pools of Ethisian blood covering the white floor surface of the tent. Next to said pools of blood were the sources of the blood, dead Elite Ethisians suffering grave wounds that ended them immediately. Their heads were cleanly and skillfully sliced off and neatly organized in a straight line ahead of them. Supported by Blood Spikes, it looked like a scene from a movie dealing with cannibals of some sort, given that the scene was so...gruesome. By the time the Ethisian noticed this, her colleague, Commander, made a complete turn and laid eyes on the supposedly dead Human standing, its head hanging on its shoulders with its red hair covering parts of its face. Around the Human’s body was a red aura flowing violently, almost like a raging gush of wind or a violent flame. The aura pulsated as well, having a rhythmic pattern with a heartbeat. "T-that’s it..." Commander stuttered, his body having the same reaction to the sight just as Eronis did. "What are you talking about?" Eronis asked as the two attempted moving back slowly, neither wishing to get any closer to a being that just killed a large number of Elite Ethisians in one move, doing it so quickly and quietly that they didn’t notice as it happened. "Don’t move," the Human spoke, its voice sounding as though five giants spoke at once. The magnitude of its voice was so great that it damaged a large amount of the Ethisian’s machinery’s electrical components, mainly involving their ships and War machines. Aside from damaging machines, the Human’s voice rocked most of the weaker Ethisians, its volume damaging their internal organs to the point where they were immobilized temporarily. "...that’s the disturbing presence I felt..." Commander’s eyes shifted across the room, his senses numbed by the terrifying presence he felt. When he just recognized it, it was but a simple feeling equivalent to a mosquito bite, nothing much for one to worry about. However, now that he was standing next to it, it was intensified tenfold, a feeling so dreadful that the Ethisians wished to run for his life. ’So this is what it’s like...to be on the receiving end of death threats...I don’t even know if I should be calling this a threat!!’ now he knew how his Elite Ethisian Soldiers felt whenever faced with a situation that resulted in their lives being taken from them. It was rare that the Ethisian faced death situations, given that he had the strength to back up his bravery. Now that he was faced with a presence so terrifying, Commander didn’t know whether it was best to run or to fight. If he ran, where would he go? The area they were in was barren, only having mountains and hills surrounding them with unforgiving weather. The nearest civilizations were at least a thirty-minute flight away from them so walking wasn’t an option for him. On the other hand, if he chose to fight, he was uncertain of the outcome of the fight. Judging by how the Human killed all Elites without making that many sounds or didn’t struggle doing it made him have second thoughts on doing so. Either way, he needed to come up with a quick solution quickly or else his life would end that very day. ’But what solution do I have?’ in anger, Commander cursed the human in his heart, hating that he, a powerful Ethisian, was put in a situation such as this. It was wild enough to be in the presence of a strong entity but it was even worse that said entity had the authority to even make one’s own body defy them. "Do something!!" Eronis complained while she forcefully started to regain control over her own body. The female Ethisian, unlike her male counterpart, was infuriated by the Human’s feat. Such strength did not belong to a creature much smaller than her, but seeing that and experiencing it enraged her even more. "Come on, Ethisian. We do not stand still in the face of danger. We either fight and win or die while fighting." The female Ethisian moved in the blink of an eye from where she stood to where the Human was, her hands, large and bulky, going for its face to break and dislocate its head off its body. Commander snapped out of whatever fear-induced frozen state he was in and joined Eronis in battle, but instead of attacking the Human with his bare hands, he opted to use his battle weapon. A long, silver staff was what he held in his hands, its weight so immense that it sliced through the air with just one move. The weapon was a simple staff. No designs, no holes, no blades protruding out or in, no nothing. Just a simple staff...to the untrained eye of course. With Eronis’ hand nearly grabbing the Human’s head, Commander also shifted to the Human, approaching from its back. As he swung his staff, the weapon’s tip elongated, flattened itself, and swelled into a hammer of sorts with teeth on all sides. An aftershock resulted from Commander’s attack, sending a cloud of ice and snow into the air. The Ethisians, who were running after the Granians, felt the aftershock and slowly turned to see what was taking place in their Command Post. Even the Granians, who were a far distance away from the Ethisian Command Post, had felt the aftershock and witnessed the cloud of snow and ice. "What’s happening?" Skyler and Cherry, who were confronted by a small army of Ethisians, stopped in their tracks to witness what strange occurrence had occurred. "I don’t know why you’re asking me that!!" the Blood Knight answered, being in the same state of confusion as Skyler. "Did an explosion happen?" *ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOAAAR* Another shockwave burst through the cloud of ice and snow, decimating it into little water droplets while a visible wave of wind and energy pushed everyone to the ground. From the source of the horrendously powerful and loud roar flew two bodies belonging to powerful Ethisians. Both bodies were cast in the air like ragdolls but they were still alive. "Is that Ace?" Skyler’s eyes widened in shock, having never heard such a loud and powerful roar come from the Blood Bishop. Even Cherry, a Blood Mutant herself, had never heard such a powerful roar, except for the roar of the Emberwyrm and the giant Sand Worms they fought a long time ago. ’Did he...did he summon it?’ Cherry was left to wonder while she and everyone else looked at the two bodies fall back to the ground and stand, acting as if they didn’t just fall from over thirty feet. ’He must have summoned that damn beast, right? I mean, if he did that it would make sense. But...I don’t see any signs of the beast’s body....’ "ETHISIANS!!" Commander and Eronis called their forces to their side, preparing themselves to battle the Human. "TAKE YOUR POSITIONS!!" The once attacking Ethisians dropped whatever they were doing and turned their attention to their commanders, neither of them daring to defy their orders. They dispersed and then regrouped, and then divided themselves into three ’battalions’ consisting of over one hundred troops each. Eronis and Commander stood in between the three battalions, readying themselves to give orders as they fought. Mimicking their commanding leaders, the Ethisians, Commander, and Eronis took their defensive positions with their weapons drawn, completely ignoring everything behind them. To the Granians, this action was quite odd and bizarre to exhibit in war but to the Ethisians, it was all because of the disturbing force Commander felt earlier. Now even the Ethisian soldiers felt it, followed by Skyler, Cherry, and then the Granians. The same reaction Commander and Eronis had earlier became the same reaction everyone else had. "Move back...." Skyler mumbled, her body failing to listen to her commands. "...move back...it’s not safe here..." "GET THE HELL OUT OF THE WAY!!!" Cherry screamed, diving headfirst for the red-headed woman just in time to prevent a colossal series of blood spikes from penetrating her chest. "Wha...what happened?" Ears ringing, body shaking, and senses dwindling, Skyler fumbled to her feet when suddenly, another attack of the same caliber occurred. The Gifted Human moved quickly, grabbing Cherry by the shoulders while transforming into her blue dragon-like beast form. She took to the sky, putting a safe amount of distance between Cherry. Herself, and whatever was responsible for those attacks, even though at this point it was obvious who was responsible for it. "So much blood...so many blood spikes..." "Talk about their size too...." The source of this content ɪs 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝙛𝙞𝙧𝙚⚫𝙣𝙚𝙩 "Could you think...the Ethisians came with their own Blood Mutant that these damned Granians keep whining about?" "No, but I know whose it is..." Skyler redirected Cherry’s attention to the Ethisian Command Post and together, with everyone below them, they witnessed a human body walking out with its head being the only part still in its human form. The rest of the Human’s body had shifted into a Blood Mutant’s body with that same malevolent red aura covering its body. Its hair flowed in the wind, its eyes glowed like the sun, and apart from having a red aura surrounding it, it also had pools of blood and bodies hovering next, over, in front, and behind it. "Show off!!" Cherry sighed but was glad to see who it was. With a change of heart, she and Skyler moved back, back to the Granian Command Post where it would be safe for them to watch without getting caught in the crossfire. "Witness the Power of a Blood God!!"
