For over twenty minutes, the fight between the Blood Mutant and the Ethisians had been a series of exchanging blows with each other and senseless bloodshed which amounted to nothing in the end. Hoping that the Elites would at least give him something worth fighting for, the Blood Bishop tolerated them momentarily, allowing himself to get hit in the process. Unfortunately, he wasn’t satisfied with their attacks either for they were either sloppy or weak. No matter how much they tried, it wasn’t up to the expectations he had of them. He expected them to at least give him a challenge but that wasn’t the case. In the end, the Blood Bishop, whose body was possessed by a Blood God, had to kill all those who were bothering him from achieving the fight he wanted. The fight he so desperately wanted to have between himself and Commander and Enoris. At last, that fight had arrived. The two Ethisians, being the only ones left, had activated their trump cards which involved using the skill known as Eneraflux. Eneraflux was the constant input and output of energy that resulted in the enhancement of one’s natural strength, bodily defenses, movements, and durability in terms of how much damage one could take and inflict. The stronger one’s output and input were, the stronger the effects would have on their bodies which would make them nearly impossible to be taken down that easily unless they were met with an opponent of opposing strength. Commander, having an orange aura of Eneraflux surrounding his body, stood with Enoris who also had an orange but slightly weaker aura, showing that she was yet to master the skill to its fullest potential. Even Commander was yet to master the skill, still needing years of training and experience until he was to get to peak Eneraflux input and output. The only known entities in the Galaxy who had reached the peak form of Eneraflux were the members of the Intergalactic Council who were able to take their power to new heights. Now, the two Ethisians stood before the Blood God, behind them being a forest of blood spikes that pierced and penetrated their fallen comrades. Fear was far from the two for they knew if they embraced it, it would cost them their lives. Instead, the two Ethisians embraced bravery and a will to survive. By all means, they had to kill the Blood God, or at least put him out of commission until he was transported to the Ethisian’s own Blood Mutants to be dealt with. Those two options seemed harsh but one looked to be more impossible than the other. With no other choice, the two Ethisians chose to kill the Blood God to save their lives and those of their fellow Ethisians. If they let it live, it would grow stronger, strong enough to even decommission their Mutants. That fact, however, remained undiscovered for they were yet to see the Blood God’s power, not even a small fraction of it. "Shall we attack now?" Enoris asked, her body rejuvenated with a wild but partially calm energy consuming her. "No," Commander whispered. "It’s best to let it come for us. Make sure to keep your energy at a constant flow. Not too much and not too little. Do that and its blood abilities won’t have an effect on us." "In as much as I’d like to milk this for as long as I possibly can," the Blood God spoke, slowly walking to the Ethisians with tendrils forming on its back, "I believe the person whose body I possess has other things to do and I cannot use this weak body for too long without expecting any drawbacks to happen. So please, LET’S BEGIN!!" The Blood God roared, a powerful wave of energy sweeping ice, snow, and a few shards of frozen blood into the air. Zooming to the Ethisians, it had its hands spread out, ready to grab them by their heads and dig their bodies into the icy surface. The two countered, jumping in the air at the last moment and remaining partially airborne with Eneraflux. The Blood God acknowledged their new power, nearly attributing it to its own. Meanwhile, Commander slammed his body into the ground which broke a large chunk of ice blocks. Tossing them in the air, the Ethisian kicked and punched them quickly, thrusting all of them at the Blood God. The entity raised its hands and ran through the ice blocks, letting its body take the hits as it approached the Ethisian. Enoris came to his rescue, approaching the Blood God from the back with her fists folded. The two exchanged blows with the Blood God turning around to meet her in the middle. *BOOM* ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ 𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗹✶𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲✶𝗻𝗲𝘁 The surface beneath them shattered, and their bodies remained firm with a small typhoon of wind forming. Distracted, the Blood God had partially dropped its guard down with the female Ethisian, unaware of the male which was now standing above it. Two quick jabs to its sides and a kick to the back sent the Blood God’s body slamming on the ground. If any weaker entity faced such an attack, their bodies would have broken from the impact of the blows alone. Not stopping, Enoris and Commander combined their efforts and kept the Ethisian on the ground for as long as they could, attacking with every fiber in their body. The Blood God remained calm, but it wasn’t reluctant. As mentioned earlier, the body it possessed wasn’t a strong one so his time would not be as long as he had hoped. Nonetheless, he quickly used his tendrils and wrapped them around the Ethisians. Thinking he would use them to drag their bodies together, the Blood God was treated to a surprise whereby both entities latched onto the tendrils and thrust the Blood God’s body high in the air before swinging it down. Like a Hulk with a Loki in its hand, the two thrust the Blood God up and down into the ground several times, causing damage to its body. It got so severe that the Blood God felt some of its insides break...and it hurt. More Blood Tendrils emerged from its back, wrapping both Ethisians tightly as it got a hold of its footing. The two charged their Eneraflux output, tearing the Blood Tendrils in the process while regaining their composure. When they turned to look back, the Blood God was gone, disappeared without a trace left behind. Still, they weren’t foolish enough to drop their guard. With their backs pressing on each other’s, the Ethisians waited patiently, buying themselves some time in the process to let their enemy’s body give out before theirs did. At the moment, they had the advantage of numbers, the ratio being a 2:1 fight. ’Let’s get rid of that second one!!’ Nothing was quick enough to prepare Enoris for what had happened next. In an instant, the female Ethisian found its body dragged through the wind like a paper stuck outside a moving car’s window. The speed disorganized her train of thought, leaving her slightly dizzy in the process. She looked back and found her body getting lunged into the thick walls of the icy mountain. They had moved away so quickly that a great distance was put between her and Commander, separating her from the person who would do great with her around. Not that Commander would have benefited, but it was still useful for them to use their number advantage on the Blood God which had now exploited it. A great crack formed on the walls of the mountain. Icicles and dunes of snow fell from the peaks as the Blood God repeatedly punched the living daylights out of the Ethisian. The longer and quicker it hit, the weaker her Eneraflux output became which had detrimental effects on her body. The scales on her forearms started to break. Her breathing became heavier with each hit, and her senses grew dull and numb while the Blood God continued ravaging her, each bit becoming stronger than the last. To her rescue came Commander who swung in before it was too late. Like the Blood God, he too grabbed and thrust his opponent into the walls of the mountain and delivered heavy blows. His blows weren’t designed to cause much damage but they were designed to distract the Mutant for a while as his comrade got her footing in time to escape momentarily. Once she did, Commander stepped back and did the unthinkable. The Blood God pushed through the holes left inside the mountain walls and just as it was about to move out of the walls, it witnessed a great mound of rocks, ice, and snow collapsing on it, all thanks to Commander. A great crackling sound of rock breaking on rock, ice falling on ice, and snow falling like rain echoed throughout the area, creating a noise so great that even the Granians heard and felt the impact of the catastrophic event. They all gasped in fear and horror, terrified that the beings who laid an entire mountain on their only hope were now no longer in the picture. No one was left to stop them from attacking the Granians and taking the only other Blood Mutant as their own. ’It can’t be the end, right?’ that was the lingering thought on everyone’s mind. They still had hope but it was hard to keep that hope alive when the only fighting chance you had was covered in piles and heaps of rock, ice, and snow. "That was...hard!!" Enoris winced in pain, her forearms stinging from the blows she took. "I’m glad that ended before it escalated, right Commander?.... "Commander? Is everything alright?" The Ethisian, standing tall and proud, was bleeding from its mouth. He didn’t know how it happened, or when it started happening but all he knew was that it was happening. He was bleeding, and it wasn’t your usual trickling from the corners of the mouth. These were great volumes spewing from him, looking similar to one who was regurgitating the contents of their stomach.
