"E-Eronis..." Commander, a great and mighty Ethisian warrior, was reduced to tears as his eyes looked at the body of his fallen comrade. He cried bitterly, not just from the horrendous sight of Enoris’ death but also from the increasing pain in his chest. "Enoris...." Eventually, the Commander’s energy grew faint, and he couldn’t support his body upright any longer. He fell to the ground, his eyes struggling to remain open. If he could, he would want to die to save himself from this pain. It felt as though someone was performing open-heart surgery without any anesthetics while also tugging at the strings of his heart. It was just too painful for his body to endure, and eventually, weakness overcame him, causing him to faint partially. *STOMP* *STOMP* *STOMP* *STOMP* A set of two pairs of footsteps walking on the icy, bloody ground where the Commander lay prostrate resonated in his ears. Looking up, his blurry eyes saw the Blood God walking with the most unbothered and nonchalant expression on his already hideous face. The longer he looked, the more he was reminded of the terrifying skills Blood Mutants possessed. He now remembered why these species were called to be pushed to extinction and why they were banned from being used for experimentation. Instead of humbling him, this remembrance angered the Ethisian more. His senses were overridden with anger, pushing away the gnawing pain in his chest. Quickly stumbling to his feet, the Ethisian threw a weak punch at the Blood God, only for it to be stopped by another pair of hands. Fearfully, the Commander’s eyes scanned the hands that held his. The scarlet fingers looked familiar, so familiar that he noticed them too quickly. He looked up, and there she was. His comrade, Enoris, looking at him with angry red eyes. It wasn’t just her eyes that were red, but her entire body. A scarlet red hue with white lines outlining the Blood Armor she wore gave her a fierce look. What made her look even more formidable was the aura surrounding her body. It wasn’t Eneraflux, but it had the same properties— the same flow, consistency, and cold, overwhelming feeling. "Enoris?" mumbling under his breath, Commander glared at his fallen comrade, who was now standing before him with her hand grabbing onto his. Her body was so cold and rigid, devoid of any sense of life behind her red, emotionless eyes. It was as if all he was looking at was a shadow, an empty shell of her past existence. The Enoris he fought side-by-side with wasn’t the one holding his hand. "Kill him." Already weakened by his aching heart, the Commander’s world was further rocked by the Blood Warrior whose hand shifted into a long blade. A simple exchange of fists and kicks began, with Enoris using her fist and blade to punch and cut Commander’s body. The male Ethisian fought with the little strength he had, but his moves were too heavy and sluggish compared to the female Ethisian’s agile ones. Fast and agile, with moments to slip in cuts and bruises, was her chosen way of fighting. The fight continued for minutes, with the female Ethisian punching Commander so hard that his body grew sore, incredibly sore, with swellings developing all over. "That’s enough, Blood Warrior." Commander fell to the ground, his body too weak and fragile to move anymore. He had already accepted his fate and chose death over the severe punishment he was facing. Sensing the Ethisian’s dead resolve, the Blood God summoned back his new Blood Warrior and stood above Commander. Placing one hand on his chest, he reverted the effects of his aching heart while poisoning his blood in the process. Now, Commander was going to face a much slower but less painful death, one that could befall him at any moment. "Your blood has been poisoned," he spoke as his body slowly gave way to the Blood Bishop’s. At that exact moment, the Granian ships were ready to leave the planet, having already reclaimed it as their own. One ship, in particular, flew closer with a hatch ready to collect the Blood Bishop. "I’ll let you live for now, but don’t think that killing yourself will solve your problems. I’ve set your blood to deflect and forcefully heal any wounds or damage inflicted on you. If you try to drink poison, you will vomit and heal quickly. In other words, your blood is going to work against you to keep you alive by all means, just to later kill you." [The Blood God host has reverted.] [You, Ace Underwood, have resurrected] [Level Up] Chapters fırst released on 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵⁂𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮⁂𝓷𝓮𝓽 As soon as Ace took back control over his body, he was flooded with countless notifications congratulating "him" for his achievements in the war against the Ethisians. Confused, pained, exhausted, and famished, he looked around the icy terrain and witnessed the bloody pools, Blood Spike forests, Ethisian corpses, and Commander kneeling before him. Just above him was a ship ready to collect and transport him off the planet to safety, unsure if Commander was truly defeated or not. [Countless rewards shall be granted.] [Congratulations: You have conjured a Legendary Ethisian Blood Warrior] [You are very close to increasing your ranks. Over three hundred bodies have been laid to waste by your hand. Do you wish to conjure all of them? This will drain all of your energy and knock you out in the meantime] Ace blinked repeatedly, trying to make sense of the situation. Never did he ever expect the Blood God to have so much power and destructive characters such as what he saw. The bodies, Blood Spikes, pools of blood, and the destroyed terrain were more than enough to make him think otherwise. Overall, the Blood Bishop was amazed by the power that came with the title Blood God, yet little did he know that what he witnessed wasn’t even one-tenth of a Blood God’s power. Still, it was enough to inflict paralyzing levels of fear on anyone faint of heart. "Blood Essence, Manifest." [Hemo-Conjuring skill: Activated] One by one, the essence of the deceased Ethisians stood on their feet, their appearances transfigured by their blood. Like Enoris, they too received Blood Armor, with the higher-ranked ones also having Blood Weapons. [Congratulations: You have conjured over three hundred Blood Warriors] [Rewards shall be given once your energy has been restored] With the conjuring taking place, a rush of Blood Mana overwhelmed Ace and quickly drained most of the little strength he had left. Quickly, the Granians descended from the ship above the Blood Bishop, collected his knocked-out body, and returned, immediately leaving before any more Ethisians showed up. They didn’t bother with Commander, for they could already tell he was going to die. Even if they did, there was the possibility of him suddenly regaining all of his strength and using it to lay waste to them and the Blood Mutants. In the end, the Granians and their Blood Mutants won the battle; even though they barely caused a dent in the Ethisian numbers. If it weren’t for the Blood Mutants and Skyler, they acknowledged that the battle would have ended in their deaths. An awkward silence filled the rooms in the Granian ships as they transported themselves back to Planet Grania. The trip was quite long and the silence made it uncomfortable for most, if not all. Some Granians discussed the events that transpired, but even that got boring quickly since all of those aboard the ship witnessed what had happened on that day. Others sat in their groups and discussed the terrible power of the Blood Bishop whose body was placed inside a cylindrical container with green fluids for his rejuvenation. Most of the soldiers present were young, new recruits who had never seen nor experienced what it was like to have a Blood Mutant fight for them. They didn’t even know what one looked like, so being in the presence of Ace, Cherry, Anya, and Jim was quite overwhelming and great for them. Still, even though the Blood Mutants were on their side, they feared greatly for their lives due to several reasons. At the moment, the most obvious and terrifying reason was how the Blood Bishop was able to lay waste to the Ethisians singlehandedly without needing much of their help. Another thing was how that same Blood Bishop was able to create an army of his own using the blood of his enemies. They feared that one day, if they were not careful enough, they too would be on the receiving end of the Blood Bishop’s wrath. Not just the Blood Bishop, but the wrath of the other Blood Knights. ’If given enough time to grow stronger, they can have the power to overpower and destroy us,’ Piloting the lead spaceship was Chris, the ’human impersonator’ Granian placed in charge of the Humans. Relieved that none of them had died and that Ace was back in their hands, he remained a little bit calm but watching the recorded evidence of his battle with the Ethisians stunned his senses. ’He just killed someone whose compared to Grim in terms of strength...imagine if he grows stronger than the Ethisian Mutants...what authority will we have over him...let alone the others if they....’ "You’re still thinking about the fight?" another approached Chris, slapping his shoulder while delivering some news. "Our second battalion, led by Lily, has been met and we’re returning together. However, news has gotten to Lord Grania and Lord Grim." "They wish to speak to both you and Lily immediately," a pitiful disgust crunched Chris’ stomach as he thought about the countless things his superiors had to say. Either way, he had no choice. If they called and wanted to speak to them, he needed to drop what he was doing immediately to attend to them to avoid the action of offending or coming off as rude to them. "And by the tone of their voices, it doesn’t sound good." "Don’t you think I know that?" he snapped, the frustration already mounting before he got there. ’What reason do they have for this?’
