The very action represented by this word can be described as many things. Some view War as a violent act between two or more groups over territory, property, or political, social, and economic views. Over many years, humanity has experienced different Wars, some far too many to count. Some were so small and lasted only hours with little to no effect on those around them while others were on a larger scale with more detrimental effects on those who were so unfortunate to be caught in the crossfires. Putting aside the stereotypical One group versus the Other types of War, others existed like Wars within communities, families, individuals, or even internally within an individual. Internal conflict ranged from a War between antibodies and foreign bodies, conflicting thoughts, beliefs, and opinions, or even Wars in terms of one’s own identity. On a different scale, or rather on a different spectrum, War was seen as a ritual; an act that cannot be stopped, will not be stopped, and will continue to strive between species of different types, races, strengths, and weaknesses. While Humans viewed War as a horrible act or an opportunity to exercise their military strength, the Inhabitants of the Akrina Galaxy viewed War as an unavoidable event that could break out at any time and last days, months, years, decades, or centuries. Sure, to humans, such a viewpoint would seem meaningless and uncalled for, but those who lived in Akrina understood why there was a need for a War. Or rather, why there were several breakouts of War. The Galaxy, being two times larger than the Milky Way, took the shape of a slanted, elongated oval with several rings dispersed across its multicolored star cluster. Containing about eight hundred million stars, the Galaxy shone brightly, emitting an intense but beautiful light with hundreds of shades of colors. With such a colossal size, the Galaxy was separated between the habitable and inhabitable planets orbiting the stars which were geographically placed away from each other. The inhabitable planets created the outer border of the Galaxy which was also the area that produced the most light. Given that some of the stars in the inhabitable category were too large, the gravitational strain on their orbiting planets was far too great for any life to thrive. The habitable stars were located at the center of the Planet, placed in a triple-ringed shape making the Outer, Middle, and Inner Ring. These stars were three hundred million in number with each star averaging about fifteen habitable planets. These planets were further categorized into three; Resource-rich planets, Biologically diverse planets, and Slave/labor planets. Resource-rich planets were highly sought after by the stronger species, often causing them to battle each other for the right to claim it as their own. Some of these planets were half the size of their stars, with an abundance in rare minerals, metals, energy sources, and fertile land, making them highly sought after for their economic potential and strategic importance. Once these planets were claimed by the conquering species, their inhabitants quickly restructured them to their liking, some stripping the planet of its natural design to later on be replaced with nothing but technology while others were simply burrowed so the inhabitants lived within the planet. Biologically diverse colonies are planets or ecosystems characterized by a wide variety of flora and fauna, unique ecological niches, rich biodiversity, and unique wildlife. These colonies are prized for their scientific value, offering opportunities for exploration, research, and discovery, often serving as living laboratories for studying various aspects of scientific alien life and needs such as medicine, dietary needs, biochemical weapons, and many more. Such planets were inhabited by the slightly weaker and more peaceful species. However, since the planets were diverse, their plant and wildlife ranged from tame, nonlethal beasts and plants to untamable, flesh-eating beasts and plants. The last in the category were Slave/labor planets; settlements where forced labor is utilized to support the economic needs of the more powerful entities, such as corporations, governments, empires, or even militaries. Species living in such colonies were subjected to exploitation, coercion, and oppression, often without basic rights or freedoms, and were forced to perform hazardous or menial tasks, such as mining, construction, agriculture, or manufacturing, for the benefit of their overseers. They ranked as the second most important planets for the stronger species and losing just one could thwart an entire economy, hence the reason for the Granian raid conducted not so long ago by Lord Grim, Huntress, One Horn, and the Blood Mutant siblings. This categorization across the three rings brought about a series of long, violent battles that spanned hundreds of years ago where different races furiously fought each other for the right to have as many stars as they could. During said period, also known as the Battle for Colonies, three powerful races emerged and they were the Granians, Ethisians, and Parsians who managed to take about fifty-eight percent of the stars as their own. While they took the Resource-rich and Biologically diverse planets, those who were too weak to defend themselves were forced to work on the Slave/labor Planets. Once the Battle for Colonies was over, the Parsians secluded themselves from the other races and chose to live on their designated planets. Their interaction with others was kept to a minimum and only a select few were allowed to trade with them. As for the Granians and Ethisians, their involvement in the Battle for Colonies never ceased for they fought with each other and the other species for as many planets as they possibly could. This constant tension brought about the Intergalactic Council; a band of powerful beings comprised of at least one member from a strong species who banded together to bring about peace, and justice, and enforce strict laws to put an end to the Battle of Colonies. In as much as the Council set laws, not many were willing to listen to them, despite the repercussions involved. Constant reinforcement of laws and repeated acts of rebellion struck another War, the Cosmic Dominion War Compared to the Battle for Colonies, the Cosmic Dominion War brought a change in how the inhabitants of the Akrina Galaxy lived. New types of technology for farming, health, war, civilian welfare, business, and trade were designed only to be sold to fund the War. Those who weren’t strong enough to defend themselves were forced to back up the stronger species or became their slaves, acting as a driving force for the enslavement of weaker species. The enslaved were then forced to not only work in the Slave/labor planets, they were also forced to work in the Resource-rich and Biologically diverse planets; their efforts directly and indirectly fueling the feuds between the stronger and superior species. As time advanced, so did the tides of the War which left only the Granians and Ethisians on top with their tension increasing till this very day. While many only focused their energy, time, and resources on protecting the little they had left, these two species focused their energy, time, and resources on taking everything from the other, no matter the cost. Going as far as disobeying the Intergalactic Council to enslave and weaponize lifeforms, bribing, killing, and forcefully taking already inhabited planets did not phase either species. As long as it would get them to their goal, they were more than prepared to do whatever it took just to achieve it. [About a month after the Granian and Blood Mutant Raid] After Lord Grim and the others managed to capture their lost colonies, Granian forces, and slaves marched in quickly, their jobs already made clear ahead of time. While the forces were going to offer protection and a bit of labor, the slaves were forced to rebuild ships, restock armor and supplies, and lastly mine the energy cores needed to power ships, buildings, weapons, and reinforce armor. Amidst all of this were perilous hours of training among the Granian soldiers and commoners. The tides of war changed and that meant EVERYONE who was Granian, was under Granian Rule, or lived under Granian control was required to have a little bit of battle knowledge regardless of their race, status, or gender. As harsh as it seemed, this procedure guaranteed safety for hundreds of thousands of Granians. In case of a sudden invasion from the Ethisians, or other enemies, the commoners would, at least, have a fighting chance. With the amount of activity taking place, the Blood Mutants and Skyler underwent their form of training, one that was different than the usual activities the Granians used. Thanks to the Blood Bishop and his Blood Warriors, they had opponents strong enough to verse and push them to their limits, an opportunity that only came by on the battlefield. "Blood Essence, manifest." [Enoris Lv51 has been summoned] [2 Elite Warrior Class Lv6 have been summoned] Two former Elite Ethisian Blood Warriors and one former Legendary Ethisian stood next to Ace, their weapons made entirely out of Emberwyrm blood. Using the Blood Iron Manipulation technique, the three Blood Warriors were ready to battle the three Blood Mutants. "Enoris will verse Cherry, and the two Elites will verse Jim and Anya," he instructed the Blood Warriors who nodded in agreement, "I permit you to use all of your strength but you are not allowed to kill them." "And who will you fight?" Jim asked as the female Blood Knights readied themselves. Looking through his system, Ace was reminded of his conjured Emberwyrm beast waiting to be summoned. "Blood Essence, manifest." Flowing from his wrist was a flash flood of blood, its volume overshadowing the Blood Mutants and Warriors. Its scaly blood legs formed first, then its tails, and finally its large body with its head and eyes forming last. A fiery rage burned in its orange-red pupils as it breathed a hot, fiery smell breath of iron and sulfur. The beast’s size seemed to have doubled from its original and the Blood Bishop felt an even heavier level of aggression emanating from it.
