The stench of sweat, blood, guts, and burned flesh intoxicated the air like a plague as a battle between the Granians, raiders, and an unknown species ensued. The Granians, whose intention was to wipe out the Raider race, fell right into a trap well orchestrated to separate them, the Blood Mutants, and Lord Grim from the other forces on the Citadels. Grim had no knowledge of what was taking place in the Citadels but he figured that they too would be under attack by the unknown enemy any time soon. Caught off guard and now evenly matched, the Granians found themselves engaged in a real battle that saw the tides shifting against their favor. These new forces were as strong as the Granians were, possessed stronger Mechs that decimated their numbers, and had an equally large air fleet engaging their own in the sky. Fortunately, the Granians had a "little miracle worker" who, at the moment, remained still while everyone else fought with their lives on the line. This miracle worker waited perfectly for an adequate number of dead soldiers to pile up before he performed one of his strongest but most demanding abilities. Ace Underwood, the Blood Bishop, sensed a strong presence of Blood Mana in the area rise, meaning that more than enough had been slain. Slowly, he slit his right palm, let his blood drop into one of the many pools of blood, and infused his Life Energy with that of the dead. The bargain began with the man’s eyes burning a bright and violent crimson glow, making him more threatening to the enemy. Once complete, his eyes reverted to normal with the red glow flowing through and around his body. His orange hair turned red and flowed as though it were in water, and his body felt lighter, almost as if a bit of him had left. [You have bargained for nine hundred Soulbound Dread Walkers.] Subtly, a cold presence of stale, stiff, cold air blew on the battlefield, forcing all of those engaged in war to stop for a moment. Their attention shifted to the strands of red energy shifting past them and engrossing the dead bodies, both those that could be recognized and the ones whose bodies were damaged beyond repair The cold wind came with whispers so eerie that they felt their blood curdle and freeze partially. Everyone, from the Granians to the Raiders to the Unknown enemies, stopped immediately and paid attention to their situation. The Blood Mutants and Skyler were afraid, afraid of this unknown anomaly. They couldn’t tell if it was something the Granians could do or if it was the enemy preparing some sort of attack. Unknown to them, their own kind was the one responsible for this strange phenomenon, a trick none of them knew he was capable of performing. "Blood Magic; Blood Revenant." With the cold came a calm, and with the calm came a bone chilling silence. The only things that made sound were the motors of the Mechs with their Pilots peering to see who or what made the once loud and gruesome battleground go quiet suddenly. Suddenly, the sounds of flesh reattaching to flesh, bones reattaching to bones, and muscles twisting around muscles rumbled on the very battleground everyone stood on. Unveiling before their eyes was the strange act of the dead reattaching themselves together and coming back to life. Their once beaten, bruised, slaughtered, and blasted bodies now stood upright with their eyes, whether whole or not, burning with an anger and lust for death. Not that they wanted to die, but simply because they wanted to kill something, just anything. The Soulbound Dread Walkers arose, their bodies already aching with strength and dangerous levels of bloodlust blinding whatever senses they were born with. The creatures pushed forward, separating the Granians from the unknown species with the purpose of focusing only on them. At first, the Granians wished to attack due to fear of these dead beings but once it sparked in them that THIS was the doing of a Blood Mutant, they obeyed and waited patiently, none wanting to die just yet. "Advance!!" Ace commanded and the Dread Walkers ran like wild, mad dogs chasing after prey. These creatures and their screams, screeches, and roars froze their enemies immediately before their bodies made contact with them. As soon as that happened, the Dread Walkers used their strengths and aggression to tear through the enemy’s armor before ripping them from limb to limb, muscle to muscle, and bone to bone. The enemy forces tried firing at the Dread Walkers all at once but it had little, to almost no effect whatsoever. These Dread Walkers, drawn in by a lust to kill and destroy, attacked those who attacked them first. Whoever stood in their way was either shoved or ripped apart instantly without a care in the world. The Granians watched in horror as dead bodies ripped apart the living, a scenario that neither ever expected to see, hear of, or even think about. One thing they were happy about was that the Blood Mutant performing this feat was one of them. Never could any of them imagine themselves fighting him, let alone the other three. They fight for you. Fight with them!!" "GRANIANS!!" Grim barked loudly, "ADVANCE. SHOW THEM WHY WE’RE THE FIERCEST WARRIOR RACE." Foot soldiers and Mechs ran side by side with their weapons aimed at their enemies. Thanks to the Dread Walkers, a great multitude of the enemy were killed, their bodies completely void of any form left. They were ravaged so intensely that no one, despite how observative they were, would be able to identify each individual apart. Nonetheless, this new type of "reinforcement" for the Granians did them wonders which completely shifted the tables for them for now, they were only a matter of minutes away from complete victory for them, and complete extinction of the raider race.
