The Blood Bishop leaped from Skyler’s back toward two Elites who quickly rolled away just in time before stabilizing themselves on their feet. Equipped with armor, the creatures were certain that their attempts to escape wouldn’t go to waste. Instead of confronting the enemy, they decided to run and report what they had seen and recorded, particularly the fact that the Humans weren’t immune to the poison used on the weapons of the mercenary clones. Unlike the Upper Legendary Ethisian who led the mission, the Elites were careful not to confront the Blood Mutants, for they were well aware of the strength difference between themselves. This was already conveyed by the High Grade Commander, who had the fortunate chance of surviving an encounter with the Blood God. "We’ve seen what we need to see," one Elite spoke to the other five, taking the position of leadership since their lead2ing Ethisian had foolishly gone against the orders he set for himself. "Let us leave and report what we’ve seen." "Agreed!!" they all said together and began running in all directions away from the Humans. However, Ace had his eyes set on these six and wasn’t about to let any of them escape. They looked strong, capable of adding more strength to his Blood Army. He needed just a few more Ethisians to become a legion commander of an army with one thousand units strong. With his eyes set on one of the six, Ace shot a Blood Tendril which pierced past its armor, through its back, and came out from its chest. The Ethisian wailed in pain, its mouth spewing volumes of its own blood. The Blood Bishop, still holding onto the Elite’s body, sped through the battlefield to the second Elite. Quickly, he stuck his long claws through its chest using his incredible strength. The Elite looked down at its chest and witnessed the claw dangling through it before it dropped dead instantly. The third Elite turned around, the last thing its eyes looked at being the palm of the Blood Bishop before its head was crushed instantly. The fourth and fifth grouped and run together with the sixth being the farthest from them and closest to the ship. Ace threw the body of the first Elite at the sixth while charging for the fourth and fifth. He dug his claws deep into their backs, latching onto their spines before ripping them out from their bodies. The sixth was halted momentarily before it stood and continued running. It was only a few meters away from the ship, so it started to leap toward it, determined to escape from the Citadel with its life. The Blood Bishop did the same thing and, while in the air, began to spin with six Blood Tendrils wrapping around his body. The Elite, now within arm’s reach of the ship, was torn to large chunks of flesh by the spinning tendrils that ravaged its body. The creature lay dead, lifeless, with all of its attempts ending in futility. Now, of the twenty-one Ethisians, only fourteen were left, and of those fourteen, five remained hidden among the piles of bodies, wary of the Blood Bishop standing by their only means of escape. At this point, the Scarlet Army had destroyed more than half of the mercenary clones, meaning that the Granians within the fortress were bound to join at any second. At last, they had managed to defend the Citadel from the attack. Although the whole thing sprouted from a little diversion, the Granians had emerged victorious once again, but it came at a cost. The battle came to an end about two hours later. Granian soldiers and laborers roamed the battlefield collecting bodies, pieces of armor, and salvageable scraps of metal from the Mechs that would prove useful later on. The Humans, on the other hand, managed to get their own the help she needed. As soon as the gates were open, Skyler, Cherry, and Anya rushed quickly to the Colonial Ships where Lily and Chris attended to them. The wound hadn’t advanced as much thanks to Cherry’s efforts, and thanks to the Granians, Anya had received the help she needed. A slight operation, followed by a ’tonic’ of sorts and a complete submersion in the cylindrical tanks, reinforced her body’s regenerative properties, bringing her back to full strength. The Upper Legendary Ethisian and six Elite Ethisians were now Conjured Blood Warriors, each given a set of body armor and a sword. Enoris stood behind Ace as she and the Conjured Upper Legendary glared at each other. The new Blood Warrior was unaware of his former life or past interactions. The only bit he remembered was his fighting capabilities, which, according to Enoris’ report, were decent enough to be among the top-ranking Warriors in the army. "What shall you call them, Master?" she asked, hoping they’d get names like she did. Ace wasn’t as welcoming to the idea of naming every Blood Warrior he conjured. He already knew how terrible he was at naming things, a perfect example being a skill he called Flaming Kiss of Death and BodyxWeapon Fusion. "I don’t know, maybe something that starts with an E." He scratched his head, confused and uncertain of a name to choose. "You wanted me to conjure them for you, so pick a name for him." "Exon," Enoris spoke, and the Blood Warrior glared. "It has a decent tune to it." ’Oh! Not too far from Enoris then.’ [Six more Elite Ethisians have been added to your Army] [Of your Conjured army, eight are Elite Ethisians, one is an Upper Legendary Ethisian, one is a High Grade Ethisian, thirty-six are Blood Beasts, and the remaining nine hundred and fifty-three are regular Ethisians.] The battle was won, but the war was yet to start. Already, the Granians had taken a significant loss, having lost a great deal of soldiers even though they were yet to encounter the Ethisian Armies. Lord Grim, the Granian responsible for this loss, was summoned by the Granian Emperor Lord Grania, the Council of Elders, and the Tribal Leaders, where he would deliver a statement explaining why the battle had broken out. While Grim was summoned to give a report, fourteen Ethisians returned to their closest colonies with reports of good news. The Humans had a weakness, and this was an opportunity they were looking for. At last, they finally found it.
