[A few years after the deployment of the Blood Mutants] For a few solid years, the Granians had changed the tides of the War completely with the use of their two highly trained, highly lethal, and highly skilled Blood Mutants who won almost every war they were involved in. Ever since their abduction from Earth, the Humans were brainwashed and conditioned to train nonstop while also forced to learn Blood Abilities without the help of any system. The two, dubbed Originals, took much longer than the other four to grow but their growth was much more substantial and resulted far better strengths. In a matter of two years, the Originals were strong enough to wipe out a planet of slightly less developed species, all without the involvement of outside forces. With an increase in their strength came many victories for the Granians. Before deploying the Originals, more than eight species had joined the Ethisians in the War and managed to dominate the battlefield for quite some time. This domination came with humiliating amounts of shame to the Granians who were a proud warrior race. However, that all changed when the Originals were added into the picture. Not only were they able to push back, but their involvement also gave the rest of the Granian warriors morale and confidence to push on in the War. This boost made it possible for the Granians to push back in about two to three years with them winning every single war without taking many casualties. At that moment, they had only a handful of planets to conquer from the Ethisians in order for them to claim victory. That was until the day came when the Granians lost control of their Mutants. The battle took place in the outer rings of Akrina on a planet a few hundred thousand miles away from the Ethisian Planet. The Granians had pitched camp around said planet and advanced deeper into Ethisian territory. The Ethisians—alone in the War, suffering great losses, and close to losing their home planet—were at an extremely desperate time of their lives, so desperate that even Enor and every other political figure in the Ethisian race had to get involved. Every alien that was capable of holding a weapon and stabbing a Granian was recruited, regardless of whether they were old enough or not. This brought about a strain in the Ethisian ranks with most newly recruited soldiers dropping their weapons and surrendering instantly upon seeing the Granians. Because most of the Ethisian forces were civilians without proper training, the Granians faced an even quicker victory while slaughtering the Ethisians by the millions. At that point in the War, more than thirty-eight percent of the Ethisian race was wiped out, and that included the older and younger generations. "We’re losing this War, High Ruler..." a brief council meeting was held on the surface of the battlefield with High Ruler Enor and a few council members meeting around a small table with a layout of said battlefield. The Ethisians were desperate and because of that, a crucial decision had to be made. Enor and a few High Grades had decided to sacrifice themselves by engaging in a suicidal mission; kill the Humans no matter the cost. "...but you risking your life isn’t worth it." "Let us surrender peacefully and pray that the Granians have mercy on us." A slap landed on the Ethisian’s face, followed by a stern finger wag from Enor. The High Ruler, disappointed by such a suggestion, looked at the Ethisian with disgust and scoffed saying, "There will never be a day where I, High Ruler Enor, will ever surrender to the Granians. Our forefathers started this War with them and we have to end it. Not just for us, but for Akrina. We all know what the Granians will do once they get rid of us, don’t we?" He asked everyone present and they answered by hanging their heads. Truth be told, the Ethisians were the only ones capable of defending the rest of Akrina from the Granians. The only other species that could cause substantial damage were the Parsians but they...they were in no way willing to fight anyone unless if they were attacked. Therefore, for the sake of Akrina and every other species, the Ethisians needed to stand firm, and strong, and wipe out the Granians for good if peace was to ever return in the Galaxy. Wouldn’t it be better for us to live as their slaves than die?" Enor and everyone else at the table gazed at the Ethisian, their eyes showing how bewildered they were at its words of choice. "Look me straight in my eyes and tell me if the Granians would be kind masters to us. TELL ME!!" Even if the Ethisians were to surrender, the Granians wouldn’t let any of them to become their slaves, let alone live. The end result was the same; death to the Ethisians whether they surrendered or not. Only difference with surrendering was that their death would be quicker and slightly painless. "Surrendering is not an option, that’s why we’ll have to deal with the Humans first," Enor continued as the other Ethisian wallowed in shame. "At any moment, they’ll be surrounding us with a few Granians escorting them. I suspect Grim, Huntress, and Murdock to be with them. When they arrive, all twenty-eight of us will ambush the Humans first. Ignore all the other Granians and kill the humans first." "What if Grim, Huntress, and Murdock are not with them?" "Then it will be a better case for us," Enor answered and then suddenly, without warning, ran to the Ethisian closest to him and shoved them to the ground before falling on top of them. In the next half of a second, a thick blood spike made from Ethisian blood was lunged where the Ethisian once stood, followed by the malevolent cackle of a Blood Mutant. "They’re here." One High Grade announced as it coated its body with Eneraflux. "And they’re all alone." Leading the High Grades to battle, Enor stood before them with his weapon of choice in his hands; a giant club with a blade on the other side of the handle. Little did the twenty-eight know that they were the ones going to cause a change in the War with the Blood Mutants. "Do not stop attacking until their bodies stop moving."
