A multitude of voices boomed across the sky as a dark, red shadow cast itself over the battlefield. Dark clouds filled with red energy blocked the sun, darkening the skies and countenance of all who dared to stare. With this sudden change in weather came a cold gust of wind that blew over the battlefield, forcing everyone who was engaged in battle to stop and stare in awe. As soon as this happened, a gust of wind with a strong iron scent filled the air. The Granians, Cyclitharans, and Ethisians who witnessed this did so with fright creeping into their hearts. Fresh chapters posted on 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝓷𝓮𝓽 What was going on? Who was doing this? Was this the work of their enemies or did another species decide to intervene? Could this be the work of the Intergalactic Space Council Members? ’This isn’t one of ours, right?’ ’We possess weather altering technology?’ Questions plagued the minds of the onlookers with many formulating their own conclusions. As much as they could, none came up with a good enough reason or explanation that was convincing enough. But then, all of that changed when they heard with their own ears and saw with their own eyes; a scene that none expected to ever witness in their mortal lives. "High Grade..." The great multitude of voices boomed across the sky like thunder, each word causing the clouds to generate red explosions of energy within. The ground shook violently like an earthquake and even split apart at some loose points. The winds blew even harder and violently as the voices spoke, bringing almost everyone to their knees in fear. "...we have unfinished business to settle..." Elyssara lifted her eyes to the sky and witnessed the whirling blood approaching her speedily. She, and everyone else with working eyes, screamed in pure terror. Even the Crimson Knight and Granian Lord became terrified, neither knowing what was going on. Everyone present began to run for their lives, all forgetting that they were fighting each other not too long ago. Meanwhile, the whirling blood crashed into the ground and slowly dispersed, revealing a figure that terrified and relieved the Granian onlookers at the same time. Clothed with nothing but a trouser emerged the figure, standing with a chiseled body with scars and remnants of old battle wounds. Its muscles were toned, its skin was smooth but rough at the same time, and its physique had improved from a tall, lean figure to a well-cut, slightly buff being. Its hair, once as red as blood, was now a deep scarlet red with a shiny, almost metal-like luster. It was thicker and longer too with some of it reaching the base of the figure’s neck. Its skin, which was once free of strange marks, was covered in glowing red "tattoo-like symbols" from the base of its fingers to its shoulders. The insides of its skin glowed with a powerful red energy rumbling inside like a thunderstorm in clouds. This form looked horrifying, demonic to some, and somewhat divine to others. What added to it though was its eyes. Its eyes; so captivating like a spell but soul-crushing at the same time. This figure’s eyes burned as red as the fiery pits of Hades, glowing within them a concentrated amount of darkness. Those who were weak but looked into them regardless fell to their knees and the stronger turned around and ran for fear of losing their lives...or worse. A few who weren’t as moved as the others watched in admiration, terror, disgust, and worry. The Granian Lord grinned from ear to ear with admiration and ecstasy as the figure walked past him, not even wishing to acknowledge the Granian Lord’s presence. The High Grade, who was released almost instantly, was terrified and disgusted at the same time. The figure to her couldn’t be who it was; if anything, it was a ghost. But what ghost would cause her so much terror that even her body trembled in terror? Then there was Cherry, the one who was closest to said figure, the one who looked on with worry. Her dear brother, the figure that oozed with nothing but malevolence in each step it took, looked like a former shell of himself, so much so that she almost didn’t recognize him. What made Cherry’s worries grow even more was the energy she sensed growing in her that came from Ace. It was far from pure, void of anything good. It was dark, corrupted, and hideous to its core. ’Ace...what have you become?’ Cherry thought to herself for her throat was clogged with fear, fear of what her words could spell for her if she dared to speak. The Crimson Knight was afraid of her brother, so much so that she didn’t even wish to stand in the same direction as he did. ’Where did you get this energy from? This isn’t yours. Are you even still in there?’ "Human!!" Elyssara angrily grunted as her body, out of terror, fell to its knees, making her bow before Ace. She couldn’t believe what was happening to her, she just couldn’t. She couldn’t bring herself to accept it either, it just wasn’t possible. "How? How are you still alive? I killed you myself. I watched you die. I drained your body of all its life force. I marked your dead, lifeless corpse. HOW ARE YOU STILL ALIVE?" With a flick of his finger, Ace manipulated the blood in the High Grade’s head upwards, making her stare into his burning red eyes. The two glared at each other; one with fear and the other with anger. With his eyes alone, Ace started to suck the life out of the High Grade’s body, doing the exact same thing to her as she did to him but this time only worse. Her blood essence escaped her body and dissolved into Ace’s arms as his eyes continued to drain all blood from the High Grade, leaving nothing behind but an empty, soulless shell...that still live. "Now that I’ve absorbed your essence," he spoke, his voice returning to normal but still having a weight of hatred and evil in it, "I will do to you what you did to me...and I’ll make you watch as I kill your people."
