Ronan didn’t speak, but the sound of burning logs from the fireplace caught his attention. He unconsciously turned his head, and in the next instant, he felt surrounded by a vivid orange-red... Ronan gazed steadily at the fireplace, where countless light shadows seemed to flicker in his eyes. The orange flames slowly died down until they were completely extinguished, and weak sparks flickered slightly on the black ashes. Ronan slowly withdrew his gaze from the extinguished fire and turned his head, coming face to face with Prophet Eve’s furry bear face. She stared intently into Ronan’s eyes, as if trying to see through his body and discern the hidden surges of thoughts in his heart. Ronan looked back at Prophet Eve, and after a moment, he calmly got up and stood from beside the fireplace. "Is there anything else?" Prophet Eve retracted her robust White Bear form, returning to her lazy and languid manner. She yawned and tossed something to Ronan. "If you encounter it, help me with something... it will benefit you as well." Ronan caught the item Prophet Eve threw to him and found it was a semi-transparent Black Glass Bead, in which a gray moth was encased. "When the moth awakens, it will tell you what you need to do." Ronan put away the bead and nodded slightly. "When do I depart for the Life Court?" The White Bear chuckled, pointed to a small blue door on the other side of the room, and said, "Walk out through that door, someone will be waiting for you outside. I’ve arranged everything for you." ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ 𝙣𝙤𝙫𝙚𝙡•𝔣𝔦𝔯𝔢•𝕟𝕖𝕥 Ronan didn’t speak again and turned to walk toward the blue door. He could feel Prophet Eve watching him from behind until Ronan opened the small door and walked out completely, with that gaze finally fading away. Before him was an equally ancient long corridor, with a faintly glowing exit at the end. Ronan followed the corridor towards the glowing exit, his footsteps the only sound echoing through the quiet hallway. His expression was calm as he softly called Alazan’s name in his heart. Soon, Alazan responded. "It’s like an enduring soul." Ronan frowned slightly, finding Alazan’s evaluation of Prophet Eve perplexing. "I cannot examine her too closely, as it is extremely rude to a Prophet Wizard..." Alazan replied slowly. "Even you dare not easily offend a Prophet Wizard?" Ronan pursed his lips slightly and didn’t ask any more questions. By this time, he had reached the end of the corridor and stood before the glowing small door. Just as Ronan was about to step out, Alazan’s voice rang in his ear again. "So, what exactly did you see in the prophecy? Mind sharing?" A trace of confusion suddenly surfaced in Ronan’s eyes. In Prophet Eve’s prophecy about Death, within those orange flames, Ronan saw— Descent, he was endlessly descending. All around him were flames, magma, and a scorching gold-red that seemed capable of melting and burning everything in the world. And then there was... Molli’er. "I don’t even know what I truly saw." The confusion in Ronan’s eyes gradually dissipated, and he murmured softly, ending the conversation with Alazan before stepping out through the Light Gate. Meanwhile, in the room Ronan had just left. Silver flames spread out from the fireplace, almost engulfing the entire room. The objects enveloped in flames showed no sign of burning, instead seeming to transform from ancient to new. Prophet Eve was also bathed in the fiercely burning silver flames, but contrary to the other items in the room, her youthful and strong White Bear body aged under the flames. Her thick body withered, a bony frame protruded, her spine hunched, and shiny fur quickly lost its luster, flaking off like dry grass... In just a short time, she seemed to have lived through most of her bear life in those silver flames. When the silver flames gradually retracted and disappeared back into the fireplace, the aged White Bear barely lifted her body, wiped her clouded eyes with a paw, and looked in a certain direction, murmuring to herself, "Still can’t see clearly...." Ronan stepped out of the Light Gate and found himself above a vast Primitive Forest. Overhead, a sky filled with numerous drifting clouds, and a certain vitality in the air, all proclaimed that he was no longer in the Forgotten Land. Four years had passed since he entered the Ancient Waterway Ruins, and now, he had spent almost four entire years in the Forgotten Land. Ronan embraced this long-lost world, devoid of any corrupting aura, and his mood seemed to be slightly comforted. After leaving the Forgotten Land, the Communication Crystals he had started to function again, lighting up one after another. Ronan checked them one by one. He had few friends in the Central region, and over the years, the person who communicated with him the most was Heather, leaving many messages almost every day. Aside from reporting on Spirit Lake Deep Sea and the events within Destiny Empire she was aware of, as well as the turbulent situation among the Three Great Empires, she expressed emotions of longing. She was deeply "attached" to Ronan like a pet, and this attachment even fermented over time into a near "fanatical devotion".
