On Planet Arkanis, Mira, Maelir, and several other high-level rankers suddenly sensed something unusual and turned their gazes toward the sky. It was still daytime on Arkanis, so no stars were visible to ordinary eyes, but with their level of cultivation it was effortless for them to see beyond the planet’s atmosphere and look directly into the vast expanse of outer space. "What is going on?" Mira murmured, her brows knitting together as she stared at the distant stars. Though it was broad daylight below, every star scattered across the void above glowed with an eerie, crimson light. A strange aura radiated from them, wrapping the entire world in a ghostly crimson veil. As Mira studied the unsettling phenomenon with a deep frown, the space beside her twisted and Maelir suddenly appeared. "Teacher, do you know what is happening?" He asked, his voice edged with concern. Mira shook her head slowly. "This phenomenon is even greater than the Galactic Eclipse. Unlike the Galactic Eclipse, which affected only a cluster of galaxies, this... this seems to be encompassing the entire world of Genesis." Maelir’s frown deepened at her words. "Even bigger than the Galactic Eclipse..." He muttered and rubbed his eyebrows. Because of his high position in the military, Maelir had access to certain classified reports regarding the Galactic Eclipse that had occurred more than a year ago and knew it was no ordinary celestial event. And now, something even more monumental was unfolding, something that made even him uneasy. "First the Galactic Eclipse, then only a short while ago one of the four supreme elemental spirits was searching for something here, and now this eerie phenomenon..." He muttered in an irritated tone. "Can I not get a break? Now I will have to work overtime again." Mira shot him a speechless glance and shook her head. Her eyes drifted once more toward the crimson-stained stars scattered across the sky, and she sighed inwardly. ’Let’s hope it’s nothing serious.’ At the same time, she wondered whether Azrael and the others, who had gone to the Flato Solar System were safe. ’Those three carefree brats went inside an ancient ruin without consulting anyone. I hope nothing happens to them, otherwise...’ She thought of a certain witch whose son was also inside the ancient ruin, and her headache intensified. It was not only Maelir and Mira who noticed the disturbance. All across Genesis, other high-rankers turned their eyes skyward as the strange crimson glow threw the entire world into a state of unrest. On Planet Veltharia, Silas and Ashara were also gazing up at the stars, their expressions equally serious. However, the reasons for their solemnity could not have been more different. Silas frowned at the unsettling phenomenon itself. Meanwhile, Ashara— "I think we should go to North Star for our family vacation. There are many ice spirits out there," She said with the same grave expression, as if discussing a matter of cosmic importance. "We can play in the ice there..." ᴛʜɪs ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ ɪs ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ʙʏ 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵•𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮•𝓷𝓮𝓽 Her serious look came entirely from deciding where the family should travel for their next holiday. Silas turned to his wife, who seemed blissfully unconcerned with the state of the universe, and shook his head helplessly. ’She is beyond help.’ Far away, on a planet named Sylvaris—a planet inside the eleven territory, Aurelya sat upon a weathered stone boulder in the middle of a barren expanse. She wore light golden leather armor that hugged her slender frame, and her long silver hair was tied back into a neat ponytail. Her golden eyes glimmered faintly with a hazy, dreamlike light as the sounds of fierce battle echoed across the wasteland, tearing the desolate land apart. Some distance away from her, six giant centipede-like monsters were locked in a brutal battle, their bodies riddled with numerous wounds. Among the six monsters, five of them were level-20 class rank, while one stood at the peak of class rank— level 25. The eyes of all six beasts were glowing with the same hazy, dreamlike glow, as though they were trapped in an illusion, mindlessly fighting each other without the slightest concern for their accumulating injuries. Within minutes, the five level-20 monsters combined their assault and killed the level-25 behemoth. Yet, once their greater foe fell, they immediately turned on one another, continuing the slaughter until none remained alive. When the last monster died, the dreamlike glow faded from Aurelya’s eyes. She exhaled softly and rubbed her eyebrows. "Making six high-level monsters fall into an illusion at the same time is still a bit difficult..." She muttered under her breath. But soon, a faint smile curved her lips. "But that will change once I get my hands on the substance they were protecting." Her gaze shifted toward a massive crater a few hundred meters away. "Now that I have taken care of all the monsters, it’s time to claim my reward." She strolled toward the deep pit and stopped at its edge. Just then, she noticed the sky, which had already been bathed in the orange glow of the setting sun, looked... different. A handful of stars had become visible against the darkening heavens, but for some reason, every single one of them shone with the same eerie, crimson light. "What is this?" Aurelya frowned, puzzled as she did not remember anything occurring in the previous timeline. "Is it just the stars visible from this planet that are glowing crimson, or are all the stars across Genesis ?" She wondered aloud. For a moment, she considered boarding the spaceship she had used to reach Sylvaris and flying into orbit to see for herself. But after a brief calculation, she shook her head. "No. Getting that substance is more important. There are only six months left before the exchange program between the elves and the human academies begins. I need to increase my strength as much as possible before then..." She whispered to herself and after one last lingering glance at the ominous crimson stars, she leapt into the deep pit without the slightest hesitation. Meanwhile, on Planet Nira, a remote planet in the Starforge Galaxy, Alicia stood before a shadowy cave deep within an ancient forest. Beside her loomed a tall figure clad from head to toe in black armor, holding a giant black sword in its hand. its only visible features the glowing red eyes that gleamed through the narrow gap in its helmet. Alicia stared at the dark cave entrance for a few seconds, then picked up a stone and hurled it inside with all her strength. The stone cut cleanly through the air and disappeared into the depths of the cave. The moment it disappeared— An enraged roar burst from within, shaking the forest. The cave walls trembled violently as the ground around it quaked and the next second— A massive bear emerged from the darkness, towering nearly four meters tall. Its dark-brown fur bristled with fury, and its deep yellow eyes blazed with murderous intent as it fixed its gaze on Alicia, as if eager to tear her apart. ’Level 27, huh...’ Alicia thought, her eyes narrowing slightly as she glanced at the level-20 Death Knight standing beside her. "Roko, go ahead," She said calmly. Hearing Alicia’s order, the Death Knight stepped forward, its giant black sword glowing with a cold, deathly light and without the slightest hesitation, it charged toward the massive beast. The giant bear roared in fury at the audacity of a mere class-level warrior daring to challenge it. Its front claws gleamed with tremendous power and seeing the death knight getting closer, it swung one of its massive paws in a furious strike at it. The Death Knight didn’t back down upon seeing the monster’s attack and raised its greatsword, swinging it with all its strength. In a flash, the steel met flesh and— A shockwave ripped through the forest, uprooting trees and sending debris flying in all directions. A pain-filled bellow tore from the bear’s throat as the Death Knight’s blade sliced through its claw, leaving a deep, bleeding wound. "Although I can’t create any more undead while remaining a class-level warrior because I forcefully created a Death Knight..." Alicia murmured to herself as she watched her servant easily overpower the epic-level monster despite being of a lower rank. "...Having one powerful helper is far better than commanding a horde of weak skeletons." As she spoke, she glanced up at the night sky, looking at the crimson glowing stars. "Another thing that didn’t happen in my previous life..." She whispered, shaking her head slightly. She studied the strange phenomenon for only a few seconds before dismissing it entirely as whatever was happening in the heavens had no bearing on her plans. Her attention shifted back to the cave from which the monster had emerged and without hesitation, she began walking toward it, ignoring the bear as the Death Knight continued to hold it at bay. "Rune of Unity..." She breathed in a voice filled with anticipation. "To think I’d obtain it so early this time."
