I dont know , thats a question only my grandparents can answer , all I know is that when they die , everything of theirs will go to Elena This means that everything Elena owns will go to her spouse unless she makes her own will or a pre nup stating otherwise which as far as Im aware she didnt do either when she was with her ex because she was unaware of her future windfall and this also means that Tristan wouldve been entitled to half of her estate if they divorced or all of it if hed succeeded in killing her . Now do you see why I said the reason behind Monicas actions are darker and more evil than we initially thought ?. Monica manipulated Elena into being with Tristan and she ignored her daughter whenever she asked for help because maybe she was secretly hoping Tristan would eventually kill Elena and when he did , she could trick Tristan into signing over her entire inheritance to her thus making her extremely rich and powerful . This is also why the b *** h hid Damians existence from his family and abandoned him as soon as he was born because the Donovans will states that everything wouldve gone to the youngest child meaning he wouldve shared the inheritance with his sister which is something Monica couldnt allow because theres no way she couldve controlled and manipulated her son like she was able to do with her daughter .
