Keith Donovan looked at James Grant with complex eyes, unsure of what to say for a long time. Fortunately, they had arrived at the hotel. James Grant got out of the car calmly, appearing normal except for the desolation in his eyes. Once on the hotel top floor, James Grant arranged for Keith Donovan to stay in the suite opposite his, briefly greeted him listlessly, and then returned to his own room. Keith Donovan hadn’t finished speaking, but considering James Grant’s recent state, he decided to speak with him the next day. Keith Donovan woke up early and went to knock on the opposite suite’s door. There was no response for a long time. Keith Donovan felt something was wrong and called Quentin Hale to ask if James Grant had gone out in the morning. The answer he received was no. For some reason, Keith Donovan felt concerned and hurriedly went back to knock on the door, but still got no response. He ran up and down the floors, catching the attention of the hotel front desk, who came to ask if he needed help. Keith Donovan explained the situation, but the hotel front desk frowned and asked, "Are you talking about the guest in 1601?" "Yes! Have you seen him? Did he go out?" Hotel front desk: "No, no. It’s just that last night, the guest in 1601 ordered a lot of alcohol to his room. Could he have been drunk and didn’t hear you?" Keith Donovan’s expression tightened, and he turned and ran to the elevator. Seeing his expression, the hotel front desk quickly followed his pace. Back on the sixteenth floor, Keith Donovan, looking solemn, asked the hotel front desk to use a keycard to open the door. The hotel front desk hesitated, "Sir, even though you’re Mr. Grant’s friend, our hotel has regulations—" "He’s allergic to alcohol!" Keith Donovan almost shouted, "Hurry up and open it! If something happens, who’s going to be responsible? Will you be responsible?!" The hotel front desk turned pale with fright and hurriedly took out the keycard to open the door. Keith Donovan rushed in almost immediately. The large suite had all the curtains drawn tight, dark as night, filled with a dense smell of alcohol, and there were bottles scattered both on the floor and the tables. Most were red wine and spirits. However, the bed was empty, and there was no sign of James Grant. Keith Donovan was momentarily bewildered, glanced into the adjoining study, but still could not find James Grant. Exiting the study, as Keith Donovan was getting anxious, the expression of the hotel front desk changed, and they turned and rushed towards the bathroom. Keith Donovan followed closely behind. As he got closer, he heard the gentle sound of water coming from the bathroom. The hotel front desk was now also a bit anxious, vigorously turning the bathroom doorknob. However, the bathroom door was locked from the inside and wouldn’t open. The sound of water inside gradually increased. The more Keith Donovan listened, the more worried he became, so he pushed the hotel front desk aside and kicked the bathroom door hard. The bathroom door swung open, and the scene inside made both Keith Donovan and the hotel front desk gasp. The bathroom floor was already flooded with water, and James Grant was lying in the bathtub, either unconscious or asleep, fully soaked in the water. Keith Donovan was utterly terrified. Without a second thought, he went forward to pull him out of the bathtub. The hotel front desk was so frightened they lost their composure and quickly called 911. James Grant was taken to the hospital. When Quentin Hale arrived at the second hospital, James Grant had already been admitted to an observation ward. At the ward door, Quentin Hale, still shaken, kept thanking Keith Donovan. "Director Donovan, without you, there really might have been an accident today..."
