By the fourth day of fun, An Ruo didn’t want to continue and longed to return home. At night, she made a call to the travel agency and decided to buy a ticket to leave the next day. She didn’t tell Tang Yuchen and the others about her returning home; she wanted to surprise them. She could already imagine the surprised looks on their faces when they would see her back unexpectedly. The next day, An Ruo, carrying her luggage, took a car to the airport. She passed through security smoothly and then waved goodbye to the city. Not far away, a man pulled out his phone and posted another blog. [The trip has ended, I’m about to go through security, then fly back to J City. Goodbye, Rome.] An Ruo stowed her luggage and fastened her seatbelt, then gazed out the window waiting for the plane to take off. Someone sat down next to her, a man by the feel of it. Without turning her head to look, she continued staring out the window. But the man next to her exclaimed in surprise, calling out her name, "An Ruo, is that you?!" She turned towards him in astonishment, equally surprised. "Mo Hua, what are you doing here?!" This was too much of a coincidence; they had unexpectedly met on a plane in a foreign country, and their seats were even next to each other. Seeing each other, both felt overjoyed. It turned out Mo Hua had also come to Rome for a vacation, arriving the same day as her, but they hadn’t run into each other. Mo Hua laughed, "Meeting you on my way back must be fate." An Ruo nodded. It indeed had to be fate; otherwise, it wouldn’t be such a coincidence. On the entire plane, they were the only two who knew each other, and they were quite familiar with one another, so naturally, they struck up a lively conversation. Before they knew it, several hours had passed since the plane took off. In the lengthy and dreary stretch of time, many passengers began to doze off. An Ruo was also feeling tired; she yawned and then saw a few men stand up from their seats, revealing handguns in their possession. "This is a robbery, nobody moves!" A sharp shout jolted everyone awake. In that moment, An Ruo wondered how they managed to get the guns onto the plane. Half an hour later, it was broadcast around the world that a plane flying from Rome to J City had exploded mid-air, and rescue workers were in the midst of a search and recovery operation. Her head throbbed with pain, and her entire body felt sore. An Ruo struggled to open her eyes in the darkness, and the sight that met her eyes was a pristine ceiling beautifully engraved with intricate patterns. After a brief period of blankness in her mind, her body experienced the sensation of falling from a great height. This sensation was a residual memory in her body, yet it was an experience she had truly undergone, falling from the sky. Her memory rewound further, taking her back to the plane. She and Mo Hua were chatting when someone drew a handgun intending to hijack the plane. Everyone on board was controlled by them, and Mo Hua had been holding her hand the entire time, silently comforting her. That’s when one of the hijackers pointed a gun at them and ordered them to step forward. She was terrified, but Mo Hua was there to protect her the whole time, which kept her from freezing up in fear. They were forced to put on parachutes, and then the plane’s cabin door was opened for them to jump out. An Ruo didn’t understand why they were doing this, but in order to survive, she bravely followed Mo Hua and jumped. Shortly after they jumped, the hijackers followed suit. Then she heard an earth-shattering explosion. The airplane exploded! She would never forget the harrowing sight for as long as she lived. After that, she passed out and lost all consciousness. When she came to again, she found herself here, in this unfamiliar, luxurious room.
