After leaving the hospital, Caden Hawthorne took Vivian Lynch to a high-end restaurant. "Today, order whatever you feel like. It’s time to pamper our dear wife. You’ve worked hard being pregnant," Caden said with a smile, handing the menu to Vivian. Vivian took the menu and flipped through it; even just a single dish here starts at three figures. She couldn’t help but gape in shock, "Caden, this place is too expensive. How about we go somewhere else?" Saying that, Vivian stood up, ready to leave. Caden got up, walked over to her, placed his hands on her shoulders, and gently pushed her back into her seat. "It’s not expensive, Vivian. Rest assured, your husband here has plenty of money. It’s just a meal, and I want to give you and the baby the best." He then knelt down and gently patted Vivian’s pregnant belly, his eyes full of tenderness, "I can’t wait for the two little ones to arrive." As Vivian watched Caden’s gentle demeanor, she felt deeply moved inside. "Babies, what do you want to eat?" Watching Caden, who usually was cool and restrained, acting like a childish fool, gently pressing his ear to Vivian’s belly as if listening to the babies, made Vivian giggle. She couldn’t help but pat his head and said, "The kids are still inside me! There’s no way they can answer you." Caden lifted his head with a gentle smile, "Soon, in about three months, they’ll be out." Vivian’s face beamed with happiness as she nodded lightly, "Yeah, time flies." Caden sat back down, holding Vivian’s hand. "Vivian, after the babies are born, let’s go on a family trip, okay?" Vivian’s eyes sparkled with anticipation, "Sure, that sounds wonderful." Caden stood up and gave her a light kiss on the forehead. "Okay, now see what you’d like to eat." Vivian flipped through the menu again, ordering a few dishes she liked, as well as some that Caden loved. Caden added a few more nutritious dishes, then instructed the waiter to bring them out as soon as possible. "Caden, have we ordered too much? Can we finish all this?" Vivian looked worried. Caden chuckled indulgently, "It’s fine, eat as much as you can. I can’t have my wife going hungry." Hearing Caden’s words, Vivian blushed, "How about we pack up what we can’t finish? It’s too pricey to waste so much." Caden immediately thought Vivian was the kind of gentle, homely girl who practiced the admirable tradition of never wasting food. "Alright, anything you say." Caden still gazed at her with a loving expression. Soon, the dishes began arriving one after another. Caden carefully served Vivian the food, attending to her dining needs. Vivian savored the delicious dishes, feeling Caden’s care, filled with happiness. "So delicious, this is the best meal I’ve ever had." "Eat slowly, no one’s stealing it from you." Seeing Vivian with her mouth full, Caden gently smiled and quickly picked up a napkin to wipe a spot of oil from the corner of her mouth. "Look at you, you’ve got it all around your mouth." Vivian blushed, chuckling awkwardly, "It’s just too tasty, and plus you keep serving me food. I was afraid I couldn’t keep up with your speed, so I didn’t pay much attention to how I looked." Hearing Vivian’s words, Caden let out a chuckle, "From now on, when you’re eating in front of me, you can be yourself without holding back." Vivian nodded right away, grinning, "Hubby, you’re the best." Seeing Vivian generously praise him, Caden grinned too, his heart sweetened as if coated with honey. "What did you just say?" Caden asked intentionally. "I said, hubby, it’s so good to have you," Vivian repeated, thinking he hadn’t heard clearly. Caden smirked, "Say it again." "Hubby, you’re the best," Vivian said, only realizing then that Caden did it on purpose, so she put down her chopsticks, puffed her cheeks, and pointed at Caden, "Caden Hawthorne, you did that on purpose, didn’t you?" Caden grabbed Vivian’s slender finger with a face full of adoration, "What can I do when my darling is just so sweet? I just want to take you home and kiss you until your lips swell." Hearing this, Vivian’s face turned beet red. She hurriedly glanced around, relieved to see no one was looking their way. Blushing, she whispered, "Caden, we’re in broad daylight. Can you be more careful with what you say?" Who would’ve thought such embarrassing words would come out of the mouth of the usually ascetic Master Hawthorne? Seeing Vivian’s shy demeanor, Caden found it extremely cute. He let out a soft laugh and said, "Alright, I’ll be careful. Let’s continue eating." Vivian then picked up her chopsticks again, continuing to enjoy the meal. Yet her heart still raced as Caden’s occasional sweet words always took her off guard. They savored the food while enjoying this warm, calm moment together. The atmosphere in the restaurant was tranquil and beautiful, as if time had stopped for them. When they had nearly finished eating, Caden packed up the leftovers as Vivian suggested. Then, he held her hand as they left the restaurant. "I see you’re quite happy today; I’ll often bring you out to eat," Caden said with a gentle smile, noticing Vivian’s improved mood while holding her hand. Vivian nodded, her face brimmed with happiness, "Sure, as long as you’re with me, anywhere is joyful." As they were heading to their luxury car, a blue Ferrari appeared in front of them. Driving the Ferrari was none other than Silas Everett. After parking his car, he got out and approached them. "Master Hawthorne, Miss Lynch, long time no see!" Silas Everett extended his hand, greeting them enthusiastically. "Mr. Everett, please address my wife as Mrs. Hawthorne," Caden, spotting Silas, felt a surge of possessiveness, instinctively wrapping his arm around Vivian’s shoulder to assert his claim. Vivian awkwardly smiled and changed the subject, "Mr. Everett, what have you been busy with lately? It’s true it’s been a while." Silas explained, "Well, I made a trip back to Cinderport. Now I’m planning to stay in Aethelgard for a while." Caden squinted slightly, a hint of wariness towards Silas’s presence in his heart. With an arm firmly around Vivian, he said in a slightly cold tone, "Mr. Everett sure has a leisurely lifestyle. I hope you enjoy your stay in Aethelgard. However, my wife and I have matters to attend to, so we must take our leave." Googlᴇ search nοvelfire.net With that, Caden pulled Vivian along, preparing to leave. Silas watched as they walked away, a slight smile on his lips and a complex look in his eyes. As Caden pulled Vivian along, she felt somewhat helpless. She knew Caden was jealous, but also felt his reaction was a bit excessive. "Caden, you don’t need to be so tense. Mr. Everett was just saying hello," Vivian said softly. Caden stopped, looked at Vivian, and said earnestly, "Vivian, keep your distance from him. I don’t like the way he looks at you." Vivian couldn’t help but chuckle, "Alright, I get it. Don’t be so petty."
