---- Chapter 6 The first thing leas saw as he opened the box, was a knitted sweater. Leo frowned and took out was a half-knitted little sweater. He had already found out about my pregnancy, so it was clear it was for our pup we never got to have. Along time ago, I had just found out I was pregnant. I was overjoyed. I'd bought yarn and started learning how to knit from a blogger online. Ihad no talent as the lines were crooked and the stitches wrong. But I recall how excited I was to learn and create something for the pup. I had thought Leo would like it too. But I never expected that less than a month later, that dream would be shattered. Now that he knew I'd once been pregnant, he didn't show much of a reaction. But I could see him clench the tiny sweater tightly in his hands. ---- Long time ago, when he was still pretending to love me, he used to say how he would love a pup in the future. A pup, a symbol of our love. I didn't know how he would feel now, seeing this. My inner wolf was nervous as I waited for his reaction. For some reason, I wanted to know. But unfortunately, he didn't show much emotion. He simply folded it back neatly and put it aside then he kept going through the box. Inside were little knickknacks. Festival tickets and such. On each, I had printed his photo on them. These were for moonlight festivals before we met. The dates were different, but every single ritual or festival his pack participated in, I hadn't missed a single one. It was something I'd never told him. As a young She-wolf, I had met him during a joint hunt and developed a big crush on him. Since then, I made excuses to go where I knew his pack would be. That's why, when we reunited later, I fell for him ---- so quickly. "Idiot," Leo sneered, tossing the tickets aside. His words stung my inner wolf, but he was right. I was pretty foolish. Otherwise, I wouldn't have been deceived by him for so long. But was he really so smart? Even he came to the wrong conclusion and found the wrong murderer of his first love and tortured me. Was that clever of him? He kept digging through the box until he came across a letter and the mocking look on his face vanished completely. Seeing the letter, my inner wolf went into full panic mode. It was a letter in a pink envelope, I had written about my unrequited love for him from years ago. Seeing him hold his breath as he tore it open, hands trembling, I figured it was because he hated the color pink.
