On the way to the hospital, Talia Rhodes returned phone calls to Yvonne Coleman and Winter Donovan, reassuring them not to worry. Once at the hotel, Talia caught up with Michelle Scott, exchanging pleasantries until dinner time. Talia checked her watch and said, "Let’s go eat together." "What do you feel like eating?" Michelle smiled lightly, "I’m open to anything." "Then let’s go see what nearby options we have." After dinner, Talia said, "So, you can go ahead with the normal process and send your resume for the interview with the law firm." "Have you found a place to stay yet?" She was asking if Michelle had found a rental place. Michelle replied, "Not yet." Talia nodded, "I’ll ask someone to help you check it out later." Michelle quickly waved her hand, "Talia, it’s no trouble, I can look myself." "No need to be polite with me; you don’t know Oakhaven well enough, I’m worried you might be duped." "Well..." Michelle hesitated for a moment, "I’ll take your help then." ᴜᴘᴅᴀᴛᴇ ꜰʀᴏᴍ 𝗇𝗈𝗏𝖾𝗅✦𝖿𝗂𝗋𝖾✦𝗇𝖾𝗍 "No problem." Talia checked the time, "I’ll take you back to the hotel first, I have something to attend to later." After dropping Michelle back at the hotel, Talia drove straight to The Grant Group. At 5:30 PM, employees of The Grant Group were still working, Ethan Grant should be at the office too. Just as her car parked in front of The Grant Group building, an unfamiliar number called. In fact, since Talia had just bought a new phone, there had been several unfamiliar numbers pop up; not knowing who they were, she hadn’t given it much thought. The phone rang a few times, Talia answered, "Hello?" "Talia, you finally picked up! Where are you now? Are you okay? Has Vincent Fletcher done anything to you?" It was Ethan Grant’s voice. Talia’s fingers tightened as rage surged up uncontrollably within her. Talia suppressed her inner anger and said coldly, "Me? Thanks to you I almost lost my life. I happen to be downstairs at your company, come down so we can talk." "You’re downstairs at my company now?" Ethan sounded skeptical, asking again. Talia impatiently answered, "Cut the crap and come on down." Ethan quickly replied, "Okay, wait for me a bit in the lobby, I’ll be right down." After hanging up, Talia walked to the seating area in the lobby and sat down. Before Ethan could come down, Talia ran into another familiar face. Vivian Coleman was clad in a creamy white Chanel suit, carrying a white LV bag with light blue floral patterns. Her outfit was almost identical to Talia’s, even her hairstyle was exactly the same. Initially, Talia didn’t recognize Vivian, only noticing that the woman’s style was similar to her own, prompting another glance. It became interesting upon closer look—the woman was Vivian Coleman. What’s her deal? Imitating my style? Talia frowned, thinking Vivian was mimicking her, feeling like something vile was lurking closely. Feeling Talia’s stare, Vivian turned her head to look, her steps halting and eyebrows furrowing. "Talia Rhodes?" Vivian’s heart flared in warning, her face darkening slightly, as she approached, "What are you doing here?" Talia sat on the sofa, glanced up at her, and with a carefree tone, mocked, "Oh, it’s you. Just now I thought you were my sister or something. Why’ve you started copying my style lately? Trying to play the imitation game?" Vivian’s face turned pale. Vivian quickly composed herself, retorting, "Copying you? Ha, you’re quite full of yourself, aren’t you? Do I need to mimic you?" Talia looked her up and down attentively. Then suddenly, she chuckled. "What are you laughing at?" Vivian asked, slightly annoyed. "I suddenly recalled a tale." Talia’s gaze was disdainful, "Miss Coleman, have you heard of the story ’Dongshi Imitated Xi Shi’s Frown’?" Vivian went green with envy. Of course, she knew that tale. "Talia Rhodes, I’ve seen narcissistic individuals before, but someone as self-absorbed as you is new to me. What, is this style your patented look? Is it exclusive just for you?" Vivian stood before Talia, hands crossed over chest. Talia watched her with amusement. "Style’s not patented by me, I get it, Miss Coleman, you just happened to dress similarly to me, have a similar hairstyle, makeup, even use the same perfume coincidentally, right? It’s all coincidence, surely not intentional imitation, just happenstance." Vivian’s face turned incredibly unsightly, about to retort, when suddenly a male voice interrupted. "Talia!" Ethan Grant’s excited voice chimed in. Talia’s expression darkened immediately, casting a cold look toward Ethan. Vivian stared at Talia fiercely, "Are you here to see Ethan? Talia Rhodes, you broke up with him long ago, why keep pestering him? Are you that desperate for a man?" Talia sneered, "You assume everyone picks up trash and sees it as treasure like you do?" Ethan approached, catching every word she said. Talia called him trash, he felt a little hurt. But it didn’t matter; he was used to it. He understood the things he had done to Talia in the past, and being labeled trash was actually lenient; he was aware. "Talia, as long as you’re okay," Ethan stood before Talia, showing tenderness in his expression and loving softness in his eyes. Just hearing this sentence enraged Talia, she abruptly stood from the sofa and slapped hard. The crisp, loud slap echoed in the lobby, catching the attention of several passersby and the front desk receptionist at The Grant Group, who looked over curiously. Ethan was quite handsome, usually dressed to impress, drawing interest from the receptionist and other female employees inside the company who had little thoughts about him. Upon seeing him get slapped, the receptionist was shocked. If she weren’t afraid of losing her job, she would have loved to capture this dramatic scene for the employees upstairs—their CEO got slapped by a woman, how spectacular! "Talia Rhodes, have you gone mad?" Vivian witnessed Ethan getting slapped and felt distressed, reacting quickly with a shout. Vivian held Ethan in concern, "Ethan, are you alright? Let me check your face." Having been slapped, Ethan’s head tilted slightly; after a brief moment of shock, he swiftly brushed off Vivian’s hand and locked eyes with Talia. Ethan, looking hurt, asked, "What’s wrong, Talia?" Talia’s voice was icy, emitting a chilling aura, "Did you make the police report?" Ethan replied, "Yes, I was worried when I knew you’d been kidnapped, afraid something bad would happen." Talia’s face turned angry, questioning coldly, "How did you know Vincent Fletcher kidnapped me? Did Selina Hughes tip you off?"
