---- Chapter 5 I looked at Callum in shock. I already knew how heartless he could be, but hearing him say this still shocked me. When I did not respond, Callum thought I was too in love with him to fight back. He smiled smugly. " If you agree, I might do you a small favor. I'll wear our wedding ring." He was acting all smug. He thought I would be so grateful for his offer that I would agree without hesitation. The whispers of the crowd faded as everyone waited for me to speak. I slowly stood up in front of everyone. A deep voice called from across the garden, " What's going on here?" Everyone turned to look, and walking toward us was Louie and Callum's uncle, Jaxon Fido. ---- When Jaxon saw me looking a mess, he quickly came over and asked with concern, "Are you okay?" I nodded to signal I was fine. Louie gave Callum a quick glance and frowned. It was clear he was not happy. Everyone fell silent and waited for Louie to speak. With both Louie and Jaxon present, it seemed like they were about to announce the engagement. Callum slowly stepped behind me and warned me in a low voice, "When my dad announces the engagement, ask him to cancel the wedding immediately. Do you hear me?" I did not answer, and I could hear Callum's friends gossiping nearby. "Callum's about to take over the family business. That's great news." ---- "Moon may have a bad temper, but she's not bad- looking. Callum's lucky to have both sisters." "after all, he's the heir to the Fido family. He can have whoever he wants." "Ahem." Louie interrupted their chatter. "Thank you all for coming to the Fido and Sawyer family party. I have some big news to share. "The Fido and Sawyer families have had a marriage agreement for years. Now, Moon, the daughter of the Sawyer family, and Jaxon have fallen in love. They make a perfect couple. I'm pleased to announce that Moon will be getting engaged to Jaxon."
