---- Chapter 6 Thad no interest in watching their lovey-dovey act, so I waved over the stunned factory manager. "When we were touring earlier, weren't there visitors around?" The manager thought for a moment before nodding. "Yes, today's open house. There were visitors taking a tour." "T remember seeing some of them taking pictures or recording. They helped bring the injured to the hospital earlier, right? They might still be here. Go find them." It didn't take long before the manager rushed back, panting. "Good news. They haven't left yet!" The manager held out his phone, showing a video to everyone. Luckily, I'd noticed some visitors recording ---- during the tour. The factory had been spruced up for the open house, making it look picturesque. I had hoped they'd captured the scene at the giant cat statue. The footage was clear, with no obstructions or editing. The video showed the moment the ceramic fell, and it was obvious I was standing far from the unsteady wooden shelf. Macy's claim that I had touched it didn't hold water. Everyone watched in silence, their gazes naturally drifting to Macy, who had just been so confident in accusing me. This crowd wasn't naive. If I hadn't touched the shelf, then Macy was lying to frame me. Macy's face went pale. She hadn't expected anyone to have recorded the incident. I slowly stood, ignoring the ache in my injured leg, and walked step by step toward her. ---- "You were so sure I touched it, weren't you? What do you have to say now? "Or are you wondering how things turned out this way? Without that video, no matter what I said, you'd have painted me as guilty, and I'd have had no way to prove otherwise." Macy froze, my words hitting their mark. Fear flickered in her eyes as she shrank behind Randall. I'd seen it all during my years navigating corporate schemes by Randall's side. Macy's tricks were amateurish in comparison-so obvious and full of holes. I did not believe Randall didn't see through her nonsense. He just chose to turn a blind eye and favor her. Macy clung to Randall, seeking his protection. However, before she could utter a word, I slapped her hard across the face.
