---- Chapter 1 I stared at Jason Reed's Instagram post. Immediately, my whole body began trembling uncontrollably. My phone slipped from my hand. "Melvaris." Almost at the same time, Hannah Blake suddenly burst into my office. She sobbed and shouted, " Clara! Jason is missing! His last location shows Melvaris!" She was crying so much that her face looked red and puffy. My secretary, Rachel Foster, stood behind her helplessly. "Ms. Clara, I couldn't stop her." ---- Hannah's cries snapped me back to reality. That was when I realized I found out my boyfriend had gone missing for the first time again. I had been reborn! Melvaris was a place that was akin to the deepest pit of the inferno. Horrible memories flooded my mind. My body ached terribly. I looked up and glared at Hannah angrily. "You!" Hannah thought I was just worried about Jason. She grabbed my sleeve frantically. "Clara, Jason always replies to me immediately! But I haven't been able to reach him for two days! "Do you think... he was taken to some industrial zone in Melvaris or something?!" My heart sank. The images from my past cycle of being tortured and humiliated in the industrial zone flashed through my mind. I could almost vividly feel every bit of the torment they had ---- inflicted on my body. To save Jason, I sold all the assets my parents had left me and went to the industrial zone alone. I thought I could simply pay the ransom and bring him back. Instead, I was captured by the leader of the area. I was sent to different bosses' homes day and night and left covered in wounds. Until the moment I died, I was praying for Jason. The leader of the industrial zone saw that and sneered. He grabbed my hair roughly and grinned sinisterly as he video-called Jason. "Mr. Jason, your girlfriend really cares about you. What do you think? Should we let her go?" I froze as I looked at Jason on the screen. Not only was he unharmed, but he was also holding Hannah, the student I had sponsored, in his arms. He looked at me with disdain. "She's filthy now. Why bother to let her go? I'm done with her."
