Inside the silent hotel, He Ao looked up to the sky at the blood-red radiance emanating from the colossal eye that had "replaced" the sun’s position. At this moment, the city was still filled with fluctuating rings of telephone calls, but they were mostly hung up as soon as they began to ring. These mysterious "calls" would alter the cognition of the users, making them believe that their deceased relatives and friends were still alive, thus prompting them to naturally answer the phone. Back at the airport lobby, He Ao had already tested it; the process could be interrupted, and the call receivers initially had autonomy—they could hang up the phone themselves. Therefore, after he took the gendarmerie and continuously informed everyone via broadcast, especially after most people saw some who refused to believe hanging on and then vanishing on the spot, the entire city quickly fell into silence. However, the phone would not ring just once. Based on the current situation in Enke City, after a certain period of time under the red glare, the calls would come again with different names. Signal disruption and turning off devices were futile in preventing the calls from coming in. The self-consciousness of those receiving calls would decline with the "frequency" of the calls, making it increasingly difficult to resist the "temptation" to answer. Therefore, He Ao was on one hand instructing Jemis to confiscate as many phones as possible to prevent ordinary people from accessing them. On the other hand, according to the disaster management regulations, he was urgently evacuating the people of Enke City, directing them as much as possible to the south. Enke City was at the edge of the Blood Sun’s irradiation range; about ten kilometers to the south would take one out of the range of the Blood Sun’s light. He Ao had sent people to test it: those who were irradiated by the Blood Sun, once out of its influence, would still receive calls, but at longer intervals, and the caller’s name would not change. Moreover, the self-consciousness of the called would not be further weakened. The Blood Sun in the sky, along with its irradiating glow, was very likely to have a significant connection with these "Dead Callers," it might even be the source of the calls themselves. The sound of car horns and rapid departures came from beneath the hotel. As a tourist city, transportation in Enke City was quite decent. Jemis’s abilities were indeed strong; the order of the evacuation was stable, with no signs of panic spreading uncontrollably. He Ao watched the ’Blood Sun’ overhead, or rather the ’Giant Eye’ from the perspective of the Eye of Truth. At that moment, the "Giant Eye" was constantly rolling its eyeball as if it was "scanning" the world. He activated Super Memory, closed his eyes slightly, and then reopened them. The whole world seemed to dim at that moment, the blood-red glow streaming in from the window receded like flowing mist. At that instant, He Ao suddenly opened his eyes, two nested orange-gray rings illuminating within his pitch-black pupils, and an eye set within an inverted triangle emerged from the void. A twisting, horrific contamination spread at that instant, as if it were shackled by some invisible restraints. He Ao lifted his head to look at the sky. The eye within the inverted triangle behind him also looked up simultaneously. In his view, the entire world was instantaneously deconstructed; the myriad of blood-red glows that spread in the nearby void became writhing, floating black threads across the whole world. Above him, where the Blood Sun hung, had now completely transformed into a condensed eyeball-shaped ’Black Illusion’ in He Ao’s field of view. The illusion seemed to be right there, yet also seemingly infinitely distant from reality. The illusory Eye of Truth lit up with an orange-gray glow, Angelic Tier Strength continuously poured into He Ao’s body. And along with the spread of this terrifying tearing power, the ’eyeball’ in He Ao’s view became ’clearer’ and his ’gaze’ followed those ’black threads’ to probe into the deeper layers of the Giant Eye in the sky. It was as if wielding a delicate scalpel, continuously dissecting the Giant Eye, peeking into its most essential power. Fine, dense crimson cracks emerged beneath He Ao’s skin, densely covering his entire body. At the same time, the ’giant eye’ that hung in the sky, akin to the sun, seemed to sense something. It rotated its ’eyeball’ and looked in He Ao’s direction. The intense contamination assault hit He Ao like a truck, with blood carrying a purplish-grey-orange glow spilling from the corner of his mouth. However, He Ao’s movements did not cease. The power of the Eye of Truth, like a dagger, pierced into the deepest part of that eye, exposing its most fundamental information. At that moment, the entire world flickered like an unstable light bulb. The crimson radiance dimmed in an instant, and the ’blood sun’ in the sky turned ’grey’ in a flash, the red light receding like a tide. The whole world ’turned black’ for a moment. He Ao stumbled, falling to his knees. He slowly closed his eyes, and the eye set inside the inverted triangle in the void behind him also gradually disappeared into the void. By the time he opened his eyes again, there was no nested halo within them. He staggered to a sitting position, coughing up a mouthful of fresh blood, and glanced at his palm covered in vivid red. He slowly wiped the blood from his hands, revealing the skin beneath, riddled with crimson cracks. He looked up at the sky, where the blood sun and the giant eye had turned into a clump of pitch-black darkness, with just a faint glow spilling from the edges of this blackness. It was like the sun during a total eclipse. The other side was startled. Their main body was not in the Main World but beyond countless timespaces, projecting its force directly by some special method. From such a vast distance, it had actually surpassed the range within which He Ao could ’deconstruct’ with the Eye of Truth. So what He Ao had just attempted was to use the Eye of Truth to ’analyze’ the essence of the opponent’s force to see exactly what they were. This wasn’t an ’attack,’ because it wasn’t too difficult for the Eye of Truth to follow the path of the blood-colored light and probe forward. But obviously, the opponent mistook He Ao’s action for an ability to attack through those blood-red lights, and so it immediately decided to ’withdraw,’ pulling back all forces and severing as much of its presence in the Main World as possible. Preventing He Ao from continuing to trace those blood-colored lights to find it. This wasn’t really a complete battle, but a brief, probing ’confrontation’ across countless timespaces. If you were to compare it to an ordinary person, it was like He Ao took out a high-powered scope to have a look at the other side, just to see what they looked like, and then the other side chickened out, thinking He Ao was aiming a sniper rifle at them. What they didn’t realize was that beneath He Ao’s scope, there was just a dagger suited for close-quarters combat. However, the other side hadn’t truly chickened out but only temporarily retracted its strength, all the while keeping the sun obscured. Based on past experiences, it seemed likely that they intended to have an ’Advent’ into the Main World. The ’blood sun’ was just part of some ’ritual’ or maybe some sort of ’foreplay’ associated with the Advent. He Ao still knew very little about their true power. This time, it seemed the opponent had been stimulated into a reflexive defense. After a while, they would likely recover, realizing that He Ao couldn’t attack them, and this brief ’peace’ wouldn’t last long. Of course, He Ao’s use of the Eye of Truth’s ’deconstruction’ wasn’t without gain, for in the last moment, he obtained from that giant eye a piece of information which seemed to be a fundamental part of its essence. Translated into human language, it was: He Ao muttered the phrase, staggering to his feet from the ground, turned on the electric light, and walked into the bathroom. The hotel’s water tower and power system were still running normally. As the hot water washed away the bloodstains from his body, his thoughts gradually coalesced. This time, however, his thoughts no longer dwelled on the giant eye in the sky, but on the Eye of Truth. He had just been using the Eye of Truth to peer at the giant eye in the sky, and at the same time, leveraging the giant eye in the sky to perform a pressure test on the Eye of Truth during the peeking and confrontation. Although it had caused some damage to his body, as the integration with the Eye of Truth reached its limit under high pressure, he still obtained some useful data. Combining these with previous experiences, he drew some simple conclusions, First, the Eye of Truth had a strong sense of independence, its existence resembling more an independent "Extraordinary Item" rather than an extension of some more terrifyingly huge entity. During the pressure test, it did not draw Strength from anywhere else. Second, it was natural for the Eye of Truth to peer at its surroundings. Even if He Ao did not control the Eye of Truth, it would naturally peek at the composition of nearby matter, analyzing the results and partially "sharing" them with He Ao through their connection. This information would be automatically processed by He Ao’s thinking, and displayed upon his conscious self, manifesting as an enhancement of He Ao’s "intuition." In sync with this, as the information shared increased, He Ao’s connection with the Eye of Truth deepened. The influence of the Eye of Truth on He Ao’s powers grew, and so did the contamination infiltrating his mind. Currently, He Ao could still handle the level of contamination. However, when necessary, He Ao could partially reset the connection between himself and the Eye of Truth by clearing the Control Array. But this might not completely "release" him from the influence of the Eye of Truth. The power of the Transcendent seemed even more peculiar and twisted as one delved deeper. Apart from the two points above, there was a third point. During the extremely brief period of full integration with the Eye of Truth, He Ao felt a connection between the Eye of Truth and a "Being" beyond the infinite space-time. If he wished, he could "borrow Strength" from that being through this connection. He Ao recalled the ending of those Wizards who had solidified the Eye of Truth in the system’s parable. They boasted to other Wizards about the power of the Truth Eyes they gained, and then they were "discovered" by the "Truth." ’But when you steal the power of Truth, the eyes of Truth may be watching you.’ Of course, when necessary, this could also serve as some sort of one-off "killer move." It just seemed to be very dangerous to use, especially since his good friend seemed to get more irritable lately. Overall, judging by the state of the Eye of Truth, there seemed to be some "secrets" about it that the system hadn’t disclosed. Those Wizards who had solidified the Eye of Truth back in the day were "discovered" by "Truth," possibly killed, or perhaps "disappeared." But the solidified "Eye of Truth" was not "restored" and still maintained its strong independence, becoming an independent Extraordinary Item. Did this imply that after the Eye of Truth had been solidified, some kind of "Metamorphosis" had occurred, causing it to actually "detach" to a certain extent from its source of "Truth"? The radiance on the Eye of Truth seemed to suggest this; usually, the color of the Strength from the same Talent Sequences pathway is the same, and this color is also reflected in the Transcendent’s blood. For instance, the Strength brought by Super Memory is purple, and the Magician’s power is grey, so when He Ao activated Super Memory, his blood would carry a grayish-purple glimmer. Most of the time, the Strength displayed by his good friend was grey. But the cover of the Eye of Truth was grey-orange, with the orange even brighter than the grey. Orange was the color of the Talent Sequences of the "Secret Watcher" and "Disordinate Master" paths that He Ao had owned in the last Copy World, and it seemed that Eternal Light was also this color. Some abilities of the "Eye of Truth," in some sense, also seemed similar to those of the "Disordinate Master." Perhaps the Eye of Truth also involved some other Strengths of Higher Beings. "Those who chase after the Eye of Truth are not just followed by Truth." Suddenly, He Ao became aware of the meaning of this saying. In the silent darkness, the pitter-patter of water carrying fresh blood slid to the bathroom floor. Yika Republic, Mote City "Take a look at these two pictures." In the brightly lit and spacious office bathed in crimson sunlight, Li Cheng placed two photographs in front of ’Hao Yi’. These were two photographs of the ’starry sky’. He Ao looked at the two photographs, and after a brief pause, slowly said, "The positions and brightness of the stars are different?" He placed his hand on one of the photographs, "Is this one taken earlier?" He pushed aside the photograph, his hand resting on the other, "And this one has just been taken?" He paused momentarily and glanced upwards, "Is there something in the sky?" Li Cheng nodded, his gaze also shifting towards the other two individuals sitting at the conference table. One was the elder of the World Tree, Rudel, a B-level, and the other was the President of Moonlight, Jie An, also a B-level. These were the current pinnacle of combat forces in the Main World. Rudel was nearby and was the first to arrive. Then He Ao made a trip and used the Velora to bring Li Cheng and Jie An over. "This is an image captured by our near-Earth orbit satellite’s space telescope," Li Cheng took out some more photographs, "Just as we came over, ’Hao Yi’ reminded me to check if there was any foreign object in the sky, so I accessed the space agency’s system. "Coincidentally, some photographs taken just then showed an issue with ’Starlight’ displacements, and upon further research and shooting from different angles with a space telescope, we discovered this object." He placed the last photo, which had been electronically color-enhanced, in the middle of the table. The photo still captured the group of stars, but on the image, a semi-transparent sphere had been electronically outlined above them. "Right above the Yika Republic, about 110,000 kilometers above our heads, there hovers an invisible ’transparent’ ’sphere’ about one thousand kilometers in diameter," Li Cheng took a deep breath, looking at the few people standing there, "The sphere did not exhibit ’mass’, hence it did not bend space-time but refracted a tiny part of the Starlight, causing regional dimming and shifting of the stars." "A diameter of one thousand kilometers?" Rudel glanced at the photo, then looked up with furrowed brows at Li Cheng. The relic was a dwarf planet about one thousand kilometers in diameter.
