He Ao reached out his hand, his arm passing through the giant’s split-open body, following the flowing white radiance inward, touching "Jie An" within the Radiant Giant’s body. The Radiant Giant, watching his movements, flickered its facial glow for a moment, seemingly making a visible expression of ’mockery’. Indeed, due to He Ao’s recent ’misdirection,’ it had guarded against the wrong direction, but He Ao trying to rescue ’Jie An’ from its body, given the strength He Ao had just exhibited, was nothing short of a fool’s dream. This was also the reason it had just daringly exposed its own chest and abdomen. Its hand movements became a bit quicker. At this moment, He Ao’s body was stuck in the wound of its abdomen, providing the perfect opportunity for attack. Meanwhile, He Ao was observing the layer of radiance that covered Jie An’s entire body. This radiance had been present before the Radiant Giant had fully formed, when He Ao had just seen ’Jie An.’ Strictly speaking, that massive Radiant Giant was actually an extension of this layer of radiance. It was the materialization of the ’connection’ formed by the fusion of the Radiant Giant Evil Spirit Angel and Jie An’s body, like invisible ropes linking the Angel Evil Spirit and Jie An together. This seemingly frail radiance welded Jie An’s body tightly inside the Radiant Giant’s own, and no matter how hard one tried, Jie An’s body wouldn’t budge. He Ao gazed at this layer of radiance, and an orange-gray ring lit up in his eyes as fresh blood further covered his body. The Eye of Truth, embedded in the sky within an upside-down triangle, cast its gaze down, accompanying his own. The whole world unfolded in He Ao’s ’field of view,’ turning into pure, twisted lines. Standing among these twisted lines, He Ao was like a musician plucking the strings, lifting his head, his gaze ’grasping’ those particular lines flickering with a special ’yellow radiance’. Beneath these lines lay more stable, faintly glowing yellow threads; these threads formed a vague ’human shape,’ with larger yellow lines ’grafted’ onto them, spreading into the entire space. He Ao’s ’sight’ converged on the ’points’ where the thin and thick lines were grafted together, beginning to continuously mark the positions of these points. In the world’s deepest layer, it seemed as if an invisible light was flowing. In this instant, the massive Radiant Giant seemed to have realized something and, without hesitation, raised its injured right hand and reached directly for the ethereal Eye in the sky. In that moment, the atrium structure filled with ’warm’ radiance burst forth with a glow that seemed capable of blocking all view, converging from all directions towards the Eye in the sky. Instantly, this grand and bright structure dimmed, and the twisting forces concentrated together, forming a giant light sphere in the sky, enveloping the Eye above. By then, the Radiant Giant’s right hand had already pierced through the darkness, grasping the light sphere. And its left hand was now merely inches away from He Ao. Crushing He Ao’s body seemed like it would happen in the blink of an eye. The entire world seemed to have frozen at that moment, even the flickering light at the very bottom layer of the world appeared to have stopped. Everything seemed poised to end at this instant. And at that moment, He Ao finally drew back all his gaze, refocusing on ’Jie An’ before him. Inside the deep black depths of his eyes, the orange-gray ring, seemingly swirling with intricate patterns, gradually dimmed. The hand of distorted radiance connected to the darkness reached toward his body. The sphere of light clutched in the giant’s palm gradually shrank in the sky, as if it was about to crush everything inside it. In the darkness, there came a series of urgent sounds, like firecrackers continuously bursting, which spread through the silent darkness under the glow of the stars overhead, as twisted cracks emerged on the interior of the entire building. It was the reverberation of a confrontation with some invisible force in the void of darkness. The invisible radiance spreading around the fingertips of the giant hand finally touched the young man’s back, a force that seemed to purify everything surged into his body in an instant, tearing at his flesh and blood. A torrent of rich blood overflowed from the young man’s mouth in an instant. But the young man did not turn back, in an interval even shorter than a breath, he only lifted his eyelids; the orange-grey ring swirling with fine patterns shattered at this moment, erupting in dazzling brilliance. The hand holding the sphere of light suddenly exerted force, attempting to further crush the light to death. The vast hand of radiance accelerated as well, moving swiftly forward, in this extremely brief time trying to snuff out the young man’s life. The young man, covered in blood, grasped the shoulder of the man slumbering in the brilliance, while the enormous luminous hand reached for the young man’s back, coming close through the torn wound. And behind this hand, another huge hand of radiance seized a shrinking sphere of light, which flickered with a twisted and warm brilliance. It was as if the entire world had come to a standstill at this moment, and the silent darkness filled every gap between the lights. The orange-grey light, like a sharp blade piercing chaos, burst forth suddenly, cutting through the flickering light sphere just like slicing paper, also cutting through the darkness filling every inch of space, shining upon the man enveloped in brilliance. The light sphere, pierced by the light, also began to slowly disappear as if being erased by an invisible eraser at the moment it was pierced; the eye set within the inverted triangle floated in the air again, unchanged from before. In the deepest depths of darkness, or perhaps at the very bottom of the world, some sort of silent ’sound’ echoed through the silent dark. It was as if the sound of a taut ’string’ had snapped. Following that, the first, the second, the third—those sounds of breaking came one after another without pause, like rapid gunfire. Within the deepest part of the Radiant Giant, the brilliance that wrapped around ’Jie An’ also began to ’shatter’ bit by bit along with the sounds resembling gunfire. The body of the Radiant Giant convulsed violently in the darkness, emitting a screech like wind whistling through a narrow gap, the enormous hand finally reached behind the young man’s back, grasping towards his body. However, at this moment, the young man was merely calmly watching ’Jie An’ whose shoulder he had seized, observing the pieces of ’brilliance’ shattering off of Jie An’s body. Watching the broken lines forcefully grafted together in that underlying world. Until the giant hand was about to grab him, he slowly closed his hand, but it was not an attempt to dodge the luminous giant’s grasp, instead, he gently exerted strength, pulling Jie An backwards. The man who had originally seemed to be firmly embedded in the brilliance, as if fused with the light itself, now felt as light as someone being drawn through flowing water. He effortlessly freed himself from the entanglement of the surrounding brilliance, from the body of the Radiant Giant. In the darkness, there seemed to be a sound of fine sand flowing. The moment the man’s body was "absorbed" out, that rich and solid radiant husk crumbled quickly like a frail pile of sand, with the disintegrating brilliance sliding downward like solid granules. And the radiant hand that was about to touch the young man also decayed and collapsed at this moment, falling like sand through the darkness. The massive Radiant Giant Evil Spirit struggled to lift its palm, issuing a trembling shriek. It seemed to try to escape its crumbling fate, but its body was uncontrollably collapsing like dust. In the midst of the collapsing radiant dust, He Ao grabbed Jie An’s shoulder and clutching the black Broad Sword, leaped backwards, plunging into the darkness behind him. Even after losing that "warm" brilliance, the whole hall remained enveloped in the icy darkness, with only the pile of radiant dust, which was once the giant, still glowing faintly. With his back to the pile of sand, He Ao laid the unconscious Jie An on the ground, the Eye of Truth hovering behind him casting its gaze down at Jie An’s body. At this moment, there was still strength from the Radiant Giant Evil Spirit existing within Jie An’s body, strength that had fused with him and caused certain "transformations" in his own body. And these transformations led to Jie An remaining in a deep "unconsciousness", even after He Ao forcefully "deconstructed" his connection to the Radiant Giant Evil Spirit with the Eye of Truth. He Ao had done everything he could, whether Jie An could wake up or not was now up to Jie An’s own fate. However, the transformations that had occurred in the body could not be changed, and the strength of the Angel Evil Spirit attached to Jie An’s body was not irremovable. He Ao drove the black Broad Sword into the concrete ground next to him and crouched down, apparently preparing to closely examine Jie An’s physical condition. But the instant he crouched down, the pile of radiant sand formed from the collapse of the Radiant Giant silently "writhed". Subsequently, a huge radiant arm abruptly extended from the sand pile and ferociously slapped down towards He Ao. Retrieve objects from the air! A pitch-black spear instantly appeared in He Ao’s hand, then he swung the spear horizontally behind him, its tip scooping up Jie An’s body, sending Jie An out of the doorway. Then, using the momentum, he spun and leapt aside, the spear’s tip touching the ground, causing the spear to bend. That gigantic palm struck the ground, instantly turning the solid floor into rubble, shaking the entire building violently, with fine cracks spreading to the top of the building closest to the starry sky. At that moment, He Ao’s body ricocheted off the bent spear, soaring towards the "radiant sand pile" that extended the giant radiant hand. The pile of sand shimmering with "warm" brilliance flickered, as if a multitude of tiny eyes were opening amidst the dense granules, watching He Ao in the sky. Indeed, as He Ao had surmised. This pile of sand was the true form of the Evil Spirit Angel; the giant before was merely an "appearance" influenced by ’Jie An’. Had the merge with Jie An been finalized, perhaps that Radiant Giant might truly become its ultimate form, but there are no ifs in this world. Now, the Angel Evil Spirit was at its most vulnerable. The forced fusion with Jie An meant that much of the essence strength had been fixed in those "engraftment points". And as these points were located and "deconstructed" by He Ao, some of the essence strength remained in Jie An, a portion shattered along with the points, with only a tiny fraction left within the body of the Angel Evil Spirit. The feedback within this Evil Spirit Angel’s body originated from its three connected energy convergence points, one of which had already shattered, and the remaining two were on the brink of collapse, barely clinging to existence. The existence behind the scenes had fused Jie An with the evil spirit angel, much like stuffing a thunderbolt into the body of the evil spirit angel. This thunderbolt could indeed enhance its strength, but what he didn’t anticipate was that his enemy just happened to have a method to detonate this ’thunderbolt’. A piece of falling concrete dropped from the sky, slamming onto the ground. Several arms stretched out instantly from the pile of sand, attempting to block He Ao in the sky. Meanwhile, He Ao flying in the air had already lifted the black spear high, hurling it fiercely. The sharp spear, like a streak of black radiance, pierced into the crevice where the evil spirit angel’s arms sprouted, transfixing the energy convergence point within. That energy convergence point broke apart. After the destruction of two energy convergence points, under the gaze of Divine Sense, the last fragile energy convergence point flickered, seemingly attempting to reassemble the other two points through the network, but at an extremely slow pace. In fact, just now, the evil spirit angel curled up tightly, firmly guarding its energy convergence points at its center to withstand He Ao’s attack, waiting for the remaining two points to regenerate the shattered one through the network, forming a stable energy structure again. He Ao had no way to deal with him in a short span of time. Regrettably, he was overly confident. He Ao gave him an ’opportunity,’ which he immediately seized. With the destruction of the second energy convergence point, the aura of the evil spirit angel weakened considerably. However, as its aura faded, its attacks became more ferocious—arms bursting out from the glowing sand pile, reaching madly for He Ao in the sky without hesitation. He Ao stepped on an arm to propel himself, dodging these arms, landing back on the ground. And as he landed, those arms immediately tried to slap him down like a sudden storm. During this brief encounter, the evil spirit angel had ultimately figured out some details about He Ao. It became clear that He Ao’s only advantages were his smaller size, swifter speed, and greater agility, along with keen combat intuition, allowing him to predict movements. But his defense was extremely weak compared to his strength, which was barely worth mentioning. He only needed one chance, even just a touch, and he could grievously injure He Ao. Now, it was the perfect time for him to turn the tables. He Ao kept darting on the ground, evading palm after palm that struck down. The floor of the building had long since cracked into numerous fragments, the thunderous noise of palms striking the ground rising and falling incessantly. Amidst this tempestuous beat, chunks of shattered bricks and concrete fell like torrential rain. He Ao glanced at the falling rubble in the sky, squinted his eyes, and dodged another palm strike from the evil spirit angel. This towering edifice finally let out its last cry of despair; countless pieces of rubble and steel rods fell like a downpour. Even though it was not a participant in the battle, the aftershocks were enough to destroy this massive structure. Amidst the dust of the collapsing building, He Ao, instead of retreating, advanced further, leaping into the air, swiftly climbing up the collapsing structure using the falling stones. The massive pile of radiant sand also did not hesitate, its many arms grabbing onto the surrounding intact structures, quickly following He Ao upwards. Its actions caused further destruction to the originally intact structure of the building, but it did not care, just incessantly pursuing He Ao. He could distinctly feel from He Ao’s movements that He Ao was afraid, almost, almost there, he was about to kill this man.
