Chapter 18 A boy around ten years old rushed in and shoved Benjamin and Elijah aside . Then , he spread his arms to shield Eloise behind him . Staring wide - eyed at the three men in front of him , Colin Windsor swallowed hard as he whispered to Eloise , " Mom , don't be scared . If they start fighting , you just run and call the police . As the man came at her again , Eloise pulled out the pepper spray from her bag and sprayed it into his eyes . Then , she grabbed the little beggar before running away . The little beggar had three broken ribs and spent a month in the hospital . After that , he stayed by her side . Whenever there was danger or someone with ill intentions , he was always the first to jump in . Later , in order to send the kid to school , Eloise went through the adoption process and named him Colin Windsor . What comforted her was that Colin was a grateful child . He was always genuinely good to her . She brought Colin back to the Windsor residence and was met with their welcome and approval . Now , Colin was the Windsor family's beloved grandson .
