Wayne fixed his gaze on the two ’Archfiends’, Anna was indeed Anna, the Moonlight’s sweet smile almost ensnared his soul. Not so for Aztemo, who merely resembled her, a cluster of pale froth stood in her place. Wayne could tell at a glance that this froth was part of Denise’s thoughts tainted by him; Darkness could overpower Death in the Divine Nation, but could not compel it to serve its purposes. If he guessed correctly, Aztemo should be in the Twelfth Layer of the Heart of Darkness, tied to a chair by Denise, forced to watch her master brutally beat up her followers. And quite possibly, when the proposal happens later, Aztemo will be among the onlookers. In Denise’s script, the proposal scene couldn’t be without Anastasia and Aztemo. You two little vixens, what qualifications do you have to stand beside me, today I’m taking the man you love most right in front of you. Seeing the situation clearly, Wayne grimaced, desperately wanting to tell Denise that Anna was unforgivable; she always hosted silver parties, but the history teacher was a pure passerby, continuously provoking her would only fuel her competitive spirit. At least for now, she’s a passerby; continuing , it’s hard to say what might happen in the future. Wayne advised Denise to untie Aztemo; if he had to choose a rival in love from all the wings, he’d recommend Secretary Mona. Wayne always kept an even hand with all his wings; Veronica’s pride, Viley’s sunshine, Chris’s gentle elegance... all held irreplaceable positions, but Anna and Mona had the slightest edge in his heart. He cherished the Moonlight and the Sleep Officer profoundly. "Adventurer, your only goddess is imprisoned by me in the Abyss, I am Aztemo of the Goddess of Death. Death signifies cold-bloodedness and betrayal, injustice and faithlessness. If you wish to persuade me to relent and release your goddess, I’d advise you not to waste your time." The pale ’Aztemo’ self-deprecated fanatically. Wayne nodded; this was precisely how Aztemo was supposed to be in Denise’s script. Curiously, he looked toward Anastasia, eager to hear her lines. Anastasia smiled faintly: "I am the ignorant Devil, representing jealousy, lust, and hypocrisy. I am the source of corruption for pure love, the number one enemy of the Dark Divine Kingdom." Nonsense, jealousy, lust, hypocrisy, even these are not fit to carry your shoes! Even if it were true, I still like you! Wayne beamed with excitement, forming a heart with his hands, and as soon as Anastasia spoke, he turned soft as jelly. Suddenly, the Void trembled, boundless Darkness roiled fiercely at the far end of the Cosmos’s starry sky. Wayne formed a sword with his fingers, glaring fiercely at Aztemo by Anastasia’s side: "Goddess of Death, your sins are atrocious, today I, on behalf of the Dark Goddess, will vanquish... subdue you!" Finished speaking, he grasped a Greatsword formed of condensed Dark Energy and rushed straight for Aztemo. Baiya and Kaya stood frozen, only snapping back to reality when Wayne and Aztemo battled fiercely enough to shake the heavens and earth, filled with questions as they looked at the expressionless Vizi beside them. "Knight Vizi, why... are these two?" Baiya was unsure where to start, trying to organize her words: "The Holy Maiden is the goddess’s walking representative in the Mortal World. Wayne just said it; the goddess is aware of her existence, she shouldn’t be here." Kaya chimed in, "Yes, and the Goddess of Death too, as far as I know, she’s on good terms with the goddess, so why suddenly..." Did they turn against each other? Vizi remained silent, a hint of envy in her voice: "Her Holiness holds an extraordinary place in Wayne’s heart, I’ve said enough, I advise you not to ask further." Out of loyalty, Vizi was relieved not to have incurred her goddess’s displeasure by becoming a stumbling block on her path to love. However, due to a complex emotion, she secretly wished to be disliked by her goddess, becoming a hindrance in her love journey. Much like being cyberbullied by Denise earlier, she deeply resented the malicious intent expressed by faith, yet due to faith, she had an inexplicable jealousy; the emotional turmoil felt worth dying for. When it came to the goddess, not to mention the row of Dream Gods standing in the temple, even the former Dark Saintess was as agreeable as the goddess was pleased. Even if they were just Subsidiary Gods... Bah, anyhow, this was a freebie question, so why get it wrong? The two Subsidiary Gods didn’t understand; from a profit-maximizing standpoint, the goddess should naturally be above the Holy Maiden. Wayne being so mischievous surely knew what to choose, no need to choose the Holy Maiden and anger the goddess. Or maybe the Holy Maiden, much like them, was part of a bad romance play? Baiya pondered, unable to fathom, and continued, "Then why is the Goddess of Death here, is she blocking the goddess’s path too?" Faintly, the word ’love rival’ popped into her mind. Kaya held her breath, covering her mouth, not daring to make a sound; Death being a rival to Darkness, this was too big of a revelation, big enough to shock her senseless. Afraid but wanting to hear more. Vizi paused again, speaking softly: "Those who understand, understand. These are things that shouldn’t be spoken; I think you already know the answer, yes, it is as such." After saying that, she added a note, knowing is enough, don’t spread rumors, it’s unbearable for the body. Baiya and Kaya nodded repeatedly, gazing at Wayne’s sword-wielding back, the glimmer of infinite ripples in their beautiful eyes.
