Kaguya was deeply unsettled. She wanted to curse someone out! Dealing with just one filial maniac was already putting her under immense pressure— Now there was Uchiha Funan... along with two more brats! Kaguya’s heart was bitter with resentment! From the very beginning, she had made an agreement with Hagoromo to join forces in eliminating Uchiha Funan. Now that her strength had advanced another level, Kaguya was confident—once Funan was dealt with, she could turn around and dispose of Hagoromo too. Now it felt like she’d been slapped across the face. Facing Hagoromo, she found herself completely outmatched. No matter how hard she fought, she was suppressed at every turn. She had no choice but to reconsider. She began to question— Was Funan actually telling the truth? Eventually, she noticed too many inconsistencies... And so, she changed her mind again. She decided to cooperate with Funan. Teaming up with Funan wasn’t a bad idea— There were plenty of benefits! So, she swallowed her pride and reached out to Uchiha Funan for a truce. It was embarrassing, sure, but Uchiha Funan agreed in the end. Why did this feel so dangerous? Kaguya suddenly stiffened. Were these two actually plotting against her? Were these two just faking a fight to lure her in, then finish her off in one decisive strike? The more she thought about it, the more it made sense. She was clearly the weakest of the three. If they booted her out first, even if they had a falling out later, it would be one-on-one—unlike now, where she was clearly the extra piece. A torrent of rage surged through Kaguya. And one of them was her own son. The other had once—ugh—wanted to do that with her. She really didn’t want to bring it up, but she couldn’t help cursing Funan in her heart: You beast. First, you wanted to do that with me, Then you turn around and try to kill me? Did they really think they had her all figured out? A fierce gleam flashed in Kaguya’s eyes. Suddenly, she let out a thunderous roar. [Crack, crack, crack!] Kaguya’s body began to expand rapidly. Funan and the Sage of Six Paths—still mid-battle—were both stunned. They hadn’t even hit her recently. Why was she suddenly freaking out? Funan’s eyes widened as he muttered, "Is this... a Tailed Beast Transformation?" Kaguya’s form swelled with frightening speed— In the blink of an eye, she had grown to over a hundred meters tall. And the monstrous shape she transformed into—Funan had never seen anything like it. It didn’t resemble the Ten-Tails from the original story, or any known form at all. It kind of looked like a lynx! The Sage of Six Paths murmured beside him. "Mother’s been provoked." "That much is obvious!" Funan rolled his eyes and muttered, "With a dutiful son like you to deal with, how could she not be angry? The only reason she hasn’t been driven to death by rage is because she values her health and knows how to practice self-care." The Sage of Six Paths didn’t get angry. He turned to look at Funan and said in a low voice, "Uchiha Funan, I know you have some misconceptions about me." "No, no, no—you’ve got it backwards," Funan replied. "You have a misunderstanding about me. I have no misunderstanding about you. I just can’t stand you and want to beat you to death, plain and simple." "Uchiha Funan, I sealed Mother back then for the sake of saving the shinobi world!" The Sage’s tone deepened. "You can’t stand me? What gives you the right? I sealed away my own mother for the sake of the shinobi world. I founded Ninshū, I brought the teachings of the shinobi to life. You’re one of my distant disciples—what right do you have to despise me?" Funan raised an eyebrow. "Do I need a reason to dislike someone?" The Sage’s face darkened. "Fine, then I’ll give you a reason!" Funan thought for a moment, then said, "You say you saved the shinobi world. But what exactly did your mother do to warrant being sealed? What crime did she commit that made you feel you had to seal her to save the world?" "Didn’t I already say it?" the Sage replied, voice heavy. "She intended to turn the entire shinobi world into a breeding ground for her White Zetsu army. I had no choice but to act preemptively and seal her away." "Ohhh," Funan nodded, then said, "So can I take that to mean... she hadn’t actually done anything yet when you sealed her?" "You’re being completely unreasonable!" Funan snapped. "Kaguya hadn’t done a thing, and you went and sealed her just like that!" "You’re saying I should’ve waited until she acted before sealing her?" the Sage asked, incredulous. "Well, duh!" Funan rolled his eyes. "By that logic, since Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo might be a threat to the shinobi world in the future, can I seal you right now?" "When have I ever threatened the shinobi world?!" Now the Sage was angry. "In the future, you will." The veins on the Sage’s forehead started bulging. "Exactly!" Funan shouted. "What? Is that not allowed?" "You think you can see the future now? You really believe your eyes can glimpse what’s to come?" "When you sealed your mother, didn’t you justify it by saying she might pose a threat in the future? At that time, she hadn’t turned anyone into White Zetsu either." "You... you... This is nonsense!" The Sage nearly spat blood in rage. Funan glanced sideways at the Sage and said, "And let’s not pretend I’m slandering you. With power like yours, why haven’t you stopped the wars in the shinobi world? Don’t tell me you lacked the ability all these years." His eyes drifted toward the two brats—Naruto and Sasuke. The Sage’s forehead veins throbbed again, but this time, he couldn’t say a word. Truth be told, most of the chaos in the shinobi world could be traced back to his two sons stirring up trouble. The Sage took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Enough pointless talk, Uchiha Funan!" "Which part of what I said was pointless?" Funan interrupted again. "Tell me. Which sentence was nonsense? How can you smear my name like that without cause?" At that moment, Kaguya had completed her transformation. She had become a monstrous beast over 70 meters tall and more than 120 meters long. Her body didn’t quite resemble a dog, nor did it resemble a cat— Something in between. A piercing roar escaped her throat as her savage eyes locked onto the Sage and Funan, as if she were ready to lunge forward at any moment and tear them to pieces. The Sage frowned slightly, then said coldly, "Uchiha Funan—now is not the time for us to fight. We must seal Mother first!" "Filial maniac—care to explain that one?" "The Tailed Beast form of my mother is incredibly strong," the Sage of Six Paths said plainly. "Strong? But didn’t you seal her back then all the same?" Funan smiled slyly. "You’ve been lounging in the Pure Land for years now—you must’ve improved your skills. I believe in you. This time, you can definitely seal her again!" Funan began slowly backing away, yelling as he did: "Go, Hagoromo! Seal your mom!" The Sage was trembling all over. "Uchiha Funan!" the Sage snapped coldly. "You’d better get involved too. I’m long dead—this is just my soul, and my power is far weaker than it used to be. On my own, I may not be a match for my Tailed Beast-form mother. Back then, I had Hamura with me." Funan clicked his tongue. "Wanna guess if I believe you?" The Sage didn’t answer—he just gave Funan a look so sharp it could kill. Seeing the Sage looking like he was about to snap and start a death match, Funan yawned and said, "Naruto, Sasuke—go!" The two kids hesitated for a moment, then quickly came to their senses and stepped forward. Veins popped visibly on the Sage’s forehead. The reincarnations of my own two sons! And I was the one who gave them their power! Now this bastard sends them to fight in his place—how is that any different from me stepping in myself?! "...Forget it. Let’s deal with Mother first." The Sage finally grit his teeth and made his decision. Once Kaguya was taken care of, he was going to thoroughly settle the score with this damned Uchiha. Just as he was about to make his move, the Sage turned around and glared at Funan. "Who said my mother had done nothing back then when I sealed her? I’ll have you know—she was planning to turn the entire shinobi world into a breeding ground for White Zetsu. That’s a fact! Not to mention, she had already begun her reign of terror, regularly offering sacrifices to the God Tree." Funan gave a low chuckle but said nothing. Who could say for sure what had happened back then? What was certain now was that Hagoromo had the power to stop the endless wars in the shinobi world— And yet he never did. As for offering sacrifices to the God Tree— Honestly, that wasn’t so different from what the aristocrats did. I will post some extra Chapters in , you can check it out. >> /TitoVillar
