Funan let out a loud laugh. At his command, Nagato and the others accelerated their assault once again. After all, chakra was limitless. After all, they were immortal. The Sage of Six Paths’ expression darkened until it was pitch black. So this was the end of his spirit army? He’d had such high hopes for them... And this was all they amounted to? Funan burst into smug laughter. Wielding his massive broadsword, he struck at the Sage of Six Paths with wild ferocity. The Sage staggered backward under the relentless blows. "Your defeat is inevitable, Hagoromo!" Funan pointed directly at the Sage with arrogance written across his face. "But I must say... the forces you assembled were quite impressive." Had it been anyone other than Funan, would the Sage have been so easy to deal with? With someone else, the odds were high they would have been crushed. Even for someone close to his strength, being swarmed by those spirits would have been a nightmare. There were truly that many spirit bodies. A rough estimate put them in the tens of billions. After all, these were spirits Hagoromo had gathered over thousands of years. During this period in the ninja world, great wars had erupted again and again. Samurai and shinobi alike were forced to begin producing offspring by the age of ten. Thankfully, what the Sage encountered were reanimated shinobi with unlimited chakra—who could unleash large-scale techniques without pause or restraint. Sometimes, Edo Tensei shinobi were far more useful than living ones. "Your time is running out, Hagoromo." Funan looked at the Sage of Six Paths and spoke softly, "Once my people finish clearing out all the spirit bodies... you’re next." "You’re coming after me?" Hagoromo sneered. "With just these people?" "Aren’t they enough?" Funan burst out laughing. "You’re already at a disadvantage—because of these people!" Hagoromo snorted. "Don’t rush. Let’s take our time. In your own words, I’m the one at a disadvantage—yet I’m not worried. So what are you afraid of?" "Afraid? Afraid of you? Do you think you even qualify to make me afraid?" Funan chuckled, and the force behind his strikes grew stronger. "What a coincidence. I’m not worried about depletion either." Hagoromo let out a cold chuckle. The two of them maintained the form of their complete Susanoo, clashing blade against blade. Every second in this state consumed an astronomical amount of chakra. But neither man cared. They simply continued exhausting their power without restraint. In the middle of the fight, a sudden emptiness flickered in Hagoromo’s eyes. His consciousness had already drifted elsewhere. A thunderous voice echoed through heaven and earth. A towering figure, seated cross-legged in meditation, opened his eyes with a puzzled look. "Brother? Heh... What is it?" "I figured as much. Sigh... Brother, is there really something even you can’t handle?" The figure let out a sigh. "Seems like Mother’s been sealed away again." "...If you don’t help me this time, Hamura, I’m going to die." Hagoromo didn’t even mention Kaguya. "What?" Hamura’s voice was clearly shaken. "One of Indra’s descendants possesses a power beyond ordinary comprehension. When I faced him, I found myself completely overwhelmed. Right now, I’m being thoroughly suppressed in battle." "T-That’s impossible!" Hamura was dumbfounded. He knew exactly how strong his elder brother was. "Shocking, isn’t it? I’m shocked too. But if you don’t help me soon, little brother, I might really..." Back on the battlefield, both Hagoromo and Funan suddenly felt an intense sensation—like they were being watched. Funan shouted sharply. But Hagoromo’s lips curled into a faint smile. Calm and unhurried, he kept his attacks steady and deliberate. Seeing this, Funan let out a cold laugh. "Ōtsutsuki Hamura... is it him? Hagoromo, you really brought in backup." "What are you looking at?" Funan sneered. "You’re being watched, and you’re not even reacting—that means you know who it is. In this entire shinobi world, how many people do you still know that are alive?" "Unbelievable... he’s actually stepping in now? Is that it, Hagoromo?" "Are you the one who forced Hamura to take action?" But the Sage gave no reply. Hagoromo turned around and blocked another attack from Funan. "Brother... why? Why haven’t you stepped in yet?" "Just wait a moment!" Hamura seemed to be preparing something. "Brother, summon me with a Summoning Jutsu in just a bit." Hagoromo was overjoyed. Back when they sealed Kaguya, Hamura—perhaps sensing danger—had voluntarily chosen to go to the moon to stay with their mother. The reason had been reasonable enough, and after all, it was the moon. He hadn’t completely let his guard down. He had made a pact with Hamura, allowing them to summon each other using the Summoning Jutsu. It had been a form of mutual restraint—a reminder of Hagoromo’s authority over Hamura. Who would’ve thought... he’d actually use it now. In the heat of battle, Funan slammed his head forward in a headbutt. Hagoromo didn’t back down—he headbutted right back. With a thunderous crack, both of their Susanoo’s heads split with jagged fractures. And both men were momentarily dazed. Gritting his teeth, Hagoromo forced himself to regain focus, then pressed a hand to the ground. A cloud of smoke burst forth. Another ghostly figure appeared before Funan’s eyes. Seeing the white eyes and delicate, youthful face, Funan’s expression turned odd. "You... this ghostly figure... are you Ōtsutsuki Hamura?" Hamura stared calmly at the young man before him, then gave a small nod. To think someone could push his brother this far... "Can I ask you something?" "Are you two... really biological brothers?" Both Hagoromo and Hamura were stunned. What kind of question was that? "Don’t take it the wrong way!" Funan scratched his head awkwardly. "It’s just that you two are supposed to be twins... but you don’t look anything alike." He added, almost apologetically, "Except for the outfits." Hagoromo and Hamura: "..." For a brief moment, the battlefield went completely silent. "Alright, stop listening to his nonsense!" Hagoromo stepped forward. "Brother, let’s take him down together!" Hagoromo looked at Hamura with a warm gaze. "After all this time, the two of us finally get to fight side by side again." "Oh, right!" Funan suddenly cut in. "Hamura, why did you leave all those years ago? The shinobi world was doing just fine—so why abandon it and run off to the moon?" Hamura paused, then replied flatly, "I went to accompany Mother." Funan couldn’t hold back a laugh. "And do you think I believe that?" Hagoromo couldn’t help but shout. "No more pointless talk!" He couldn’t let Funan go on speaking. If he kept going, there was no telling what Hamura might start to think. Even if nothing had ever been stated outright, any reason connected—even slightly—to Hagoromo could easily be magnified in Hamura’s mind. Several Truth-Seeking Orbs floated above Hagoromo’s Susanoo. Seeing this, orbs began to appear around Hamura as well. Though Hamura had never awakened the Tenseigan, as the progenitor of the Byakugan, his strength was by no means weak. He had also inherited Kekkei Mōra and was at the same Six Paths level. "This might be a bit tricky..." Funan exhaled slowly, staring at the two brothers before him. He began drawing upon the Sage Power within his body. One after another, demonic marks began to appear on Funan’s Susanoo. Then raising his fist and punching it hard he threw it towards Hamura. The ground trembled three times. Centered around Funan’s Susanoo, the earth dropped several meters in a wide radius. Hamura suddenly appeared on top of Funan’s Susanoo’s fist. "Huh?" Funan blinked in surprise. "Not bad—nice use of the Body Flicker Technique." "Hmph," Hamura snorted coldly. "You may be powerful, but don’t underestimate everyone else." Funan chuckled. "I’d love to give you more credit. So how about growing a bit bigger first, huh?" Hamura’s face darkened. He replied icily, "Size doesn’t determine everything." "Then let’s test that." Funan slammed another punch down. Once again, the ground trembled three times. And then—something terrifying happened to Hamura. A massive shockwave erupted from the edge of Funan’s fist. Hamura had just dodged the punch with his Body Flicker Technique, but the shockwave still sent him stumbling. "Perfect opportunity!" Funan raised his head and unleashed another punch. This time, it landed. But Hamura blocked it with a Truth-Seeking Orb just in time, avoiding being sent flying. "Not bad at blocking," Funan chuckled—and then began launching punch after punch after punch. In the blink of an eye, he had thrown dozens of them. Several Truth-Seeking Orbs materialized in front of Funan, blocking all incoming attacks. Funan’s attacks were simply too powerful. Under the onslaught, even the Truth-Seeking Orbs appeared feeble. In the end, Hamura was sent flying into the sky by a single punch. The price for that was a few dents and cracks appearing on Funan’s Susanoo. With a slight rotation of chakra within his body, all damage was immediately restored. Next, he prepared to pursue and finish off Hamura. A fist came crashing straight toward him. Funan raised both arms to block. Funan was forced back several steps by the force of that punch. I will post some extra Chapters in , you can check it out. >> /TitoVillar
