Chapter 45 Silvy After we got dressed Goof insisted I have breakfast with him here at the club. I didn't want to have to deal with skanks this early in the morning. I told Goof I would grab something on the way home. But Goof wasn't having it. He wanted to make sure I had a proper breakfast not something from a drive-thru. He assured me that I wouldn't have to deal with any nasty skanks. The ones that handle breakfast are like Gretchen. Easy going and doesn't want trouble. And if the skanks bother me he promised to handle it. That and he said there was bacon. So I caved and let him walk me downstairs to the kitchen. I have never been to this part of the club before. I was shocked at how big it was. The kitchen was spotless so that was a plus. It had two large stoves that looked like they belonged in a restaurant, not a clubhouse. Two side-by-side fridges I have always wanted. One has a large label on it that simply states 'Kids.' Not hard to guess what kinds of things might be in there. The long counter was loaded with different foods and one bunny standing at one of the stoves cooking something. As soon as we walk in Ace jumps up from his chair at a small table." Goof, what the hell? Silvy shouldn't be on her feet." Ace grumbled. Ace puts an arm around my waist "Come on, sweety. Goof will get you something to eat while you rest in my chair." I laugh as Ace escorts me to the chair he just abandoned. "Ace, I'm fine. I haven't been on my feet long. I stay on my feet much longer than this at work. No need to fuss." I said. "Yes, there is. You are one of us. Uncle Ace is going to make a fuss." he said as he pulled out the chair and helped me sit. Not that I needed it. Ace, that is super sweet of you. And if I were one of you this would be great but I'm not so." I just left it in the air. Ace ignores what I said and barks at Goof" Why are you just standing there? Get this momma some food." Goof just shakes his head. "Easy Ace, I am going to grab her coffee and juice." Goof laughs. "Goof, Ace, you don't need to do this," I said. "Yes, he does," Ace said. He turned to Goof who was now at one of those K-Cup coffee pots and says "And that better be decaf. Silvy doesn't want the little one doing somersaults in her belly because you made it hyper." "Ace, you know I know the drill. We have been through enough pregnancy's with these girls, both know that they can have one cup of regular coffee a day. I even spoke with Silvy's doctor about it." Goof said. " Good that you pay attention," Ace said. Ace turned his attention back to me. As for you little lady, since when are you not one of us? Since when are you, not family." Ace asks. " Ace, you know I love the club and most of its members but I'm not one of them," I told him. Goof sets down my juice while he gets my coffee ready." Silvy how long have we known each other?" Are asks. I don't even have to think. I know the exact day I met Ace. Since the day Lilly was admitted to the ICU," I said. Ace shivers like a chill went down his spine. It happens every time he thinks about that day. That's right so you by now not to argue with me. I said you are family, so that is the end of it." Ace says. He is right. Arguing will do no good. I was sipping the coffee Goof gave me. He fixed it just the way I like it. He was fixing me a plate of food and looked over his shoulder asking "Babe, are you still doing salsa and sour cream? Or did that pass? " This man knows me way too well.
