This is your fault , " she said , then went back to ignoring me . 1 bit back a curse . " I don't grow hair around my nipples , unlike some people . " That one didn't earn me a response . The bathroom door swung open , and another guy stepped in as I wrapped the towel around my middle . I eyed him warily , as did the wolves protecting me . It wasn't Grunter , but someone else I didn't recognize instead . His gaze went straight to me and moved slowly down my figure . I gripped my towel tighter . Carnage gave another warning growl , this one much louder. " You got the tasers ? " Perv asked . Yup . The new guy handed one over . The wolves and I tensed in unison . Were they planning to use those on us ? Or ... The guys lunged for the wolves , answering my questions for me . The new guy took down the two I didn't have names for , while Pervert threw himself at Carnage . The wolves collapsed to the ground . Those tasers must've been turned up really damn high to knock out massive wolves like those . It wouldn't take nearly as much electricity to take me down . The guys moved toward me . " Now would be a good time to take over , " I urged my wolf , panic rising within me . " I can't fight , and you know it . " " Now would be a good time to yell . Loudly . " My wolf reminded me of Knockout , and his hushed whisper . I was too prideful to do that immediately . What kind of wimp had to yell for help ? I wasn't one of those cool tough chicks who could take someone to the ground with a single cool statement , but I also wasn't the kind of girl who ran to the nearest man for help when shit hit the fan . The pervert rose from Carnage's back , reaching for my arm . I grabbed the bar of soap off the floor and threw it at his face to buy myself a second . There were no other weapons I could see , but I knew the way out , and booked it toward the door . Angry shouts followed me . My foot slipped as I left the bathroom . I nearly face - planted , but caught myself with the doorway before I flew down the skinny aisle surrounded by cages . Literal hell was on my heels , in the form of two demonic men who deserved to burn in a pool of magma with every other man who'd ever even considered attacking a woman . Wolves began snarling and snapping as I passed them , seeing the men chasing me with their weapons . Knockout shouted something too , but my heart was pumping too hard to hear what he said . I skidded to a stop at the door I'd been carried through . Blood pounded in my head as I struggled to breathe , desperate and excited . My fingers wrapped around the handle . I was going to get out . My eyes caught on a door flying open behind them and grew wider as the man in the cell emerged . Knockout . Somehow , he made it to me and my attackers in the blink of an eye . His arm wrapped around Perv's neck , and he jerked it hard . I heard the snap of a neck , and Perv's body fell to the ground . It was both horrific and relieving at the same time . Knockout kicked a taser out of the other guy's hand in one swift , pointed movement . The werewolf's fist collided with the guy's face , and he crumpled instantly . Knockout slammed his heel into the man's chest , and there was a loud cracking noise that made me want to barf . * Come on . " Knockout ushered me toward the cages .
