Art also found his class and assigned house. *Class – Normal ᴛhis chapter is ᴜpdated by 𝓷𝓸𝓿𝓮𝓵※𝓯𝓲𝓻𝓮※𝓷𝓮𝓽 *House – Raging Bulls] With a faint, bitter smile, he turned to Derek. "Looks like we didn’t get into the Elite Class after all... but we’re in the same one though." "Yeah," Derek replied, regaining his composure. "And it seems we’re in the same house too." "Exactly. Let’s go meet our guides first. They’ll explain everything to us." Derek nodded in agreement. The two of them left the hall board and made their way toward the Raging Bulls dormitory, located on the southeast side of the academy grounds. After walking for about five to ten minutes, they finally arrived at the dormitory area. A man was standing at the entrance who looked to be in his thirties, holding a list in his hand. Behind him, around thirty senior students were lined up; these were the designated guides for the new first-years. As each newcomer approached, the man checked their name against the list and then called out to one of the senior students standing behind him, the one assigned to guide that particular first-year student. Soon, Derek and Art arrived before him. The man glanced up and asked in a firm tone, "Name?" "Derek Hale," Derek replied. The man scanned the list for a moment, then nodded. "Eva, you’re up." A girl with blonde hair tied up in a ponytail, looking about thirteen or fourteen years old, stepped forward with a polite smile. "Hello, I’m Eva. Welcome to the Raging Bulls." "Than you very much. I am Derek Hale." Derek also replied politely. "I’ll be your guide. Please follow me. I’ll show you around and explain everything about the dormitory." "I’ll be in your care for now then." Derek said courteously. Then, glancing at Art, he added, "See you soon." Art smiled and raised his hand as well. "Yeah, see you soon." Eva turned and walked through the gate, her steps light and confident. Derek followed close behind. "I heard you’re a cultivator, right?" Eva asked as they walked. "Yes," Derek replied simply. "Then you’re really lucky," Eva said with a small smile. "It’s not easy for cultivators to get admitted here. You must’ve already noticed that during the test." "I did," Derek nodded. "So don’t waste this opportunity," she continued. "If you work hard, you might graduate as a full-fledged hunter. Because though few cultivators succeed in getting admitted, they fail to continue up to the end." "I’ll do my best," Derek replied earnestly. As they walked, Derek glanced at her and thought, ’She seems to be a mage. But compared to others, she’s surprisingly humble.’ After a short walk, they climbed the stairs and arrived at the second floor bustling with activity. "You see this area?" Eva pointed. "This is the second floor where all first-year students stay. Once you move up to second year, you’ll be transferred to the western block on this same floor. The third and final-year students live on the third floor." "Got it," Derek said, looking around carefully, taking in every detail. They continued climbing the stairs and soon reached the fourth floor. "This entire floor is for cultivation and training," Eva explained. "Over there, mages practice their spells. That section is for Aurans, where they train in weapon combat. Cultivators train in that chamber over there." She gestured down the hall as she continued, "These rooms here are for balance training under increased gravity. The last four chambers that I just showed you have a ranking system that’s connected with the other two houses as well. You must’ve seen the hall board.. those rankings are displayed there too. But your rank is only displayed when you are within first fifty out of all the students." Eva then pointed toward two adjacent doors. "That chamber is for elite-class students. It’s for cultivation and the Qi absorption rate inside is five times faster than normal. The one beside it is for also for cultivation but for the normal-class students and it doubles the absorption rate." Derek listened in silence, fully focused—he didn’t want to miss a single detail. "Most of your growth and training will happen here in the dormitory," she continued. "The academic building is mainly for classes... Aurans are taught weapon techniques, mages learn spells, and cultivators study martial arts and combat styles. It’s also where duels and competitions take place." She gave a small smile. "And the first floor is for dining." After a short pause, she added, "That’s the general layout of the dormitory. For today, you can rest and get used to your room. Tomorrow, I’ll come by again, and you can ask me anything you’d like then. How does that sound?" "Sounds good," Derek said with a nod. Eva led him to the eastern block of the second floor again and stopped before a particular door. "You’ll be staying here," she said. "You’ll get your uniforms tomorrow. Take care, and I’ll see you tomorrow." "Okay," Derek replied with a polite smile. With that, Eva gave a small wave and left. Derek then entered his new room, closing the door behind him. The room wasn’t very big.. just a bed, a table, and a small space beside the bed wide enough to sit in a lotus position. That was all. Derek placed his pack on the chair and dropped onto the bed with a soft thud. ’The academy seems interesting,’ he thought. ’With my cultivation technique, my Qi gathering speed is already twice the normal rate. And even if I train in the regular cultivation chamber, it’ll become four times faster. If I can somehow get promoted to the elite class, it’ll be twenty times faster! Those training rooms sound promising too... I’ll find out tomorrow what they really have in store for me.’ With that thought, Derek let his body sink into the bed, his eyes slowly drifting shut. But just as his sleep began to deepen... Someone knocked on the door from outside. "Open the door!" a voice called.
