When the Firmament Sword appeared, Lin Hongyu realized that the power of time within her body was not the key to reviving Li Hao. Instead, it was the catalyst for stimulating the star of time, so that the star of time would revitalize! That way, the star would produce more power of time. Lin Hongyu suddenly snorted again, quite baffling Celestial Pole. She’d thought of an issue with her proposed plan of action. If I didn’t choose to resurrect this guy, then would the combination of the two dao universes also revitalize the star of time? Won’t that also bring back Li Hao? He’s waiting, isn’t he! He’s waiting not only for me, but for Hong Yitang and Gan Wuliang. If either of them get the idea to devour the other, that’s when he’ll return! Or if there’s any external powerhouse that devours both dao universes, that’s when he’ll return too! It’s not that he’s given up on life or returning to us, but that he decided not to come back if nothing else happens. If anything does, he’ll come striding out of the end of time and space. Lin Hongyu felt that she might be thinking too much, but her thoughts couldn’t help but shift in this direction. The more she thought about it, the more she felt that this was precisely what Li Hao would do. If Gan Wuliang really did dare think of devouring Hong Yitang, he might discover to his surprise that Li Hao had suddenly appeared behind him to cut him down! Lin Hongyu’s lips curved upward. This guy is seriously tyrannical. We’re not allowed to take anything that he doesn’t allow us to! If we do, he’ll swing back around to kill us. As expected of the man I chose! Off to the side, Celestial Pole grew more perplexed with the situation. What was the little girl thinking? Was she a mental pervert? She smiled one second, scowled the next, and then switched to staring off into space. Are you going to take care of business or not? As Lin Hongyu’s thoughts ran wild, vitality surged from her body. A feeble strand of time suddenly darted into the Firmament Sword. The sword shook and a star seemed to be lit deep within it. Lin Hongyu’s expression shifted slightly and she looked at the sky. Even though death qi obscured it, she could sense might pressing down from above! Lighting the star again had drawn the attention of the chaos tribulation. Celestial Pole’s eyes widened as well. This feeling... made his heart palpitate. Damn it, they weren’t going to experience a third chaos tribulation, were they? Number Two raised its chubby head at this time and looked at the sky. It opened its mouth—not to devour anything, but to breathe out some unique energy that covered the small dimension. The pressure bearing down from above promptly vanished. “I can provide cover for a short period,” wheezed the cat. “Although I do not know how to wield the power of time, I have a few abilities that I can isolate the world with. We used to live in an isolated environment before.” It had lived in a projection of the world that was cut off from the outside world. It didn’t exist anywhere else. That was the energy that it’d utilized. “My deepest thanks, senior!” Lin Hongyu quickly thanked Number Two. What a good cat! Everyone feared the New Martial Ash Emperor, but how strange, this cat was so nice! Although it wasn’t the Ash Emperor, weren’t the two the same? Just when she thought that there was nothing else for her to do, the Firmament Sword started shaking violently. Stars materialized out of thin air and began assembling into a certain shape. An illusory sword gradually formed in the world. It was the dao meridians as formed by the 360 dao stars! Except, they were all very dim. Only the one in the center showed a faint hint of light. The source of that light came from the power of time within Lin Hongyu’s body. Liquid droplets began emerging from the illusory sword—the power of time. They seeped through the world, enveloped the star, and created tiny rivers of time that were imperceptible to the human eye. The 360 dao stars were both illusory and real. They resembled a scene from the creation of the world. The power of dao appeared and the illuminated star burst with scintillating brilliance. The surge of dao strength floated through the river of dao, becoming one with the river of time. One star, two stars, three stars... More than one hundred dao stars had been lit, but still Li Hao did not appear. Lin Hongyu was incredibly nervous. She hadn’t done anything, all of this had happened on its own. It was just like she’d guessed—Li Hao had been prepared for this eventuality. He wasn’t just waiting for someone to resurrect him. He could either resurrect himself, use himself as the catalyst, or use the combined daos as the catalyst! He’d activated his backup plan the moment he died! How terrifying was the kid?! As stars lit up one after another and dao strength surged into the river, the sound of a babbling brook began to come into clarity. A stunned Celestial Pole watched from a distance. Li Hao... really was something! He only needed someone to start the process before he brought himself back to life! If the kid makes it out of Silver Moon, who knows how many heavyweights he’ll trick to their deaths? Celestial Pole had once thought that no one would be able to stand against the personas already in place at Silver Moon. Li Hao hadn’t even counted as an exalted emperor despite borrowing endless strength from his future. But even so, he’d eliminated the group of ancients who’d overseen the world. He’d done so quietly, soundlessly, unexpectedly! Amidst his shock, Celestial Pole was finding it more and more imperative that he stayed far away from the kid. This was not a person to provoke. There was no need to add further glory to his accomplishments, it was enough that they stayed out of each other’s way. Ripples traveled over the long river’s surface as the usual situation developed. Once again, it resembled a scene of the world being born for the first time. A stone suddenly sank to the riverbed, causing the flow of water to pause. The stone blocked the river and spontaneously transformed into dirt. Lin Hongyu jerked with alarm, as did Celestial Pole draw himself up straight. “This is the Sword Sovereign’s whetstone...” he said upon seeing Lin Hongyu’s nervousness. “It... shouldn’t seek to harm Li Hao...” Number Two looked on dumbly for a long period of time before saying, “It’s fine. This person... wishes to remake the world and build a small one of his own...” An illusory figure appeared over the earth of the river as it spoke. It walked out of an unknown location and there was a star branded in the center of his forehead—the star of time. His eyes shone like a bright moon and gazed upon them through time. He smiled when he saw Lin Hongyu. “You’re sharp enough.” Li Hao walked over the earth, his voice echoing from a very far distance. “How long have I been asleep?” Lin Hongyu always answered Li Hao’s questions respectfully, but today, she sneered. “One hour!” “......” Li Hao’s footsteps stuttered. How long? One hour? It takes longer than that to take care of all the admin work in Silver Moon, no? A sword materialized in his hand; it smashed through a dao star with one swing, prompting stunned gazes from everyone. The star that he obliterated immediately turned into muddled power of great dao and melded into the river of earth. He was hacking the great dao apart! “That’s too short a period.” Li Hao raised a brow. “Has something happened to Silver Moon?” “No, everything’s fine,” Lin Hongyu said calmly. “But since my husband fell in battle, I needed to resurrect him as soon as possible! “I was worried about something going wrong with the process, so I’m having all Silver Moon citizens pray for you in the outside world. They are bringing forth their most reverent hearts in hoping that you live eternally! “Martial Uncle Hong and the others have given up progressing in their cultivation in order to prepare for your revival. They’ve given up everything! Seniors Celestial Pole and Cat are also standing guard over you without thought of compensation...” In conclusion, everyone is going to a lot of effort for you! Tranquility and peace reign through Silver Moon! Li Hao looked through the void at Lin Hongyu, once more smashing a dao star into pieces and turning it into a current of dao strength. That current also became part of the river of earth. “Since you resurrected me so quickly...” Li Hao said after a moment of silence. “Then you should know that you don’t need their help. It is a waste of their time and effort...” “Everyone is filled with devotion and sees you as their king,” Lin Hongyu responded equally calmly. “As their god, as their master. How can I disappoint them?” “Lin Hongyu...” Li Hao swung his sword at the countless stars that he’d gathered with effort. As they shattered, the world of the river grew many times stronger. “You’re creating problems for me!” “No, I’m so foolish that I’m less than the queen of the west! I didn’t understand your intentions, I only knew that I wanted you to be back with us, safe and sound!” Li Hao blinked with resignation and decided to ignore the woman. Are you foolish? Not at all! ɴᴇᴡ ɴᴏᴠᴇʟ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀʀᴇ ᴘᴜʙʟɪsʜᴇᴅ ᴏɴ 𝘯𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘭⟡𝘧𝘪𝘳𝘦⟡𝘯𝘦𝘵 It’s just... I’m the fool here. I wouldn’t have left this in your hands if I’d known this would happen! You’ll be the bane of me! Lin Hongyu’s lips curled upward. Cat got your tongue, huh? She considered the expanse of shattering stars. “Why are you breaking them? You can just gather the myriad of daos, why separate them so clearly?” “Collect your dao stars, I’m going to smash through them in a moment!” said Li Hao. “......” Lin Hongyu began collecting her stars without further word. “I’m going to smash through them in one stroke, do you understand?” Li Hao cast a sidelong glance at her. “I’m foolish, I’m ignorant, there’s nothing I understand!” “......” Li Hao had no idea what to say to her. “Don’t give me that attitude! “You are collecting life and death, so when I break your stars, the daos of life and death will become part of the river of time!” He had no choice but to explain when he saw that he wasn’t frightening her. “I’d wanted to keep the new world to myself, but life and death are hard to comprehend. “You’ve summoned them through a stroke of fortune. In that case, you can become part of my new dao!” Lin Hongyu smiled, focusing her attention on one star in particular. It was incredibly complicated and half black, half white. “Li Hao, why is this dao of life and death different from the dao of yin and yang of New Martial?” Celestial Pole couldn’t help but ask. “Yin and yang are yin and yang, life and death is life and death!” Li Hao continued swinging the sword at dao stars. “I don’t know what the yin and yang of New Martial are like, but in my dao, life and death are related to time. The past is life, the future is death. As life and death come together, so do past and present...” Celestial Pole’s head hurt. Li Hao looked at the firmament, then at Number Two. “Thank you, Senior Cat! I’d thought that you would help me devour the chaos tribulation when it came, but as it turns out, this method is feasible as well! Isolating the world, half real, half illusory... This does feel like a dao universe!” The young man didn’t hide his thoughts; he’d known that the cat would help him with the tribulation. Lin Hongyu cursed to herself again. This callous bastard counted even the cat as part of its plans. Number Two held itself with a lazy air and didn’t say anything. It simply looked at Li Hao, but its gaze spoke of an aged weariness.
