---- Chapter 13 Jenna opened a coffee shop in town. She liked the town very much. There were no schemes she had to deal with and no fleeting romance. All it had was a tranquility that belonged only to her. "Look at you, sitting here daydreaming." Jenna was shocked when Sebastian Lucas' voice suddenly rang behind her. "Are you a ghost or something? Why do you appear without making a sound?" Jenna glared at Sebastian. Her first encounter with Sebastian had been quite a peculiar one. When they first met, she was wading in the river with her pant legs rolled up, preparing to dry the material for her painting. That was when Sebastian showed up. He scooped her up from behind, making Jenna think she had met a criminal. Although she momentarily panicked, she still decisively smeared the mud in her hand onto his face. ---- His face was covered with red mud, and he could not open his eyes. However, he continued to hold her and say, ''The world is beautiful. Don't lose hope." Jenna then realized that he thought she was contemplating drowning herself in the river, which was why he advised her that the world was beautiful and not to lose hope. She gave up struggling and relaxed before patting his hand around her waist with some amusement and telling him she was just collecting mud. They started on the wrong foot but became acquainted just like that. "Jenna, I know I'm handsome, but you don't have to look at me like that." Sebastian gave an annoying smile, but no one noticed his flustered gaze and slightly flushed ears. Jenna came back to her senses and glanced at him. " You narcissist." That was when Matthew appeared suddenly. "Jenna." There was an obvious tremble in Matthew's voice. He ---- was too scared to go forward, let alone backward. He stayed where he was and stared at Jenna, afraid it was just an imaginary joy. Only when Jenna heard the familiar voice did she confirm she was not hallucinating. She looked at Matthew standing before her, her expression somewhat confused. However, she was not surprised by his presence. After all, the Simmons family were wealthy and influential, so investigating her whereabouts would have been easy. However, she was confused as to why Matthew did not stay in the country to take care of Luna and her baby. Instead, he appeared here. Since she could not make sense of it, she simply stopped trying because the question no longer mattered to her as much. She was about to turn around and leave when a force behind her pulled her arm. Jenna was pulled into a familiar embrace with a firm chest and warm arms. Everything felt familiar. The moment Matthew touched Jenna, his heart tensed, and he hugged her tighter.
