---- Chapter 15 Sebastian sent Jenna home after she was done crying. Matthew was waiting at the door. He looked at the pair chatting happily and felt a sting in his heart before bitterness spread throughout his heart. "Jenna, can we talk?" He stepped forward and grabbed Jenna's wrist, his voice somewhat anxious and aggrieved. "Sir, can't you see that Jenna doesn't want to talk to you?" Sebastian pushed Matthew's hand away. The two men looked at each other with dissatisfaction and hostility. Jenna looked at the two men confronting each other and felt annoyed. It had been a long day, and all she wanted was to hurry home and sleep. "Matthew, do you think there's anything left for us to talk about?" Hearing Jenna's question, the pain in Matthew's heart spread instantly as his eyes became filled with reluctance. However, it was fleeting. He only wanted a ---- chance to explain. "Can we just talk about it? Jenna..." Jenna caved in and told Sebastian to go home. He wanted to refuse, but there was nothing he could do. After all, it was a matter between her and Matthew. It would be inappropriate for him to intervene too much. "Call me if you need anything," Sebastian reminded her before leaving. After watching Sebastian leave, Jenna calmly asked, " What do you want to say, Mr. Simmons?" Matthew's heart trembled slightly as he looked at Jenna's indifference. Perhaps people always unconsciously exposed their vulnerability at night. Matthew's eyes instantly reddened as he stared at Jenna, finally realizing that his longing for her was so strong that it almost engulfed him. He had so much to say, but it could not be expressed with a few words. He was afraid that Jenna would be annoyed and felt nervous. "Jenna, will you come home with me? I know you're angry about me and Luna, but I was just fooling ---- around with her. You're the only one I love. Jenna, will you believe me? I promise I'll never do anything to upset you again after you come back home with me." She had waited a long time for Matthew's confession. She had even thought she might give him a chance as long as he confessed and corrected his mistakes, but he never did. All she got was deception after deception. Jenna shook her head before answering sincerely, "I don't want to and I won't go back with you. Matthew, since you betrayed our marriage, you should know that I'll never turn back. If you still love me, please let me go." Every word that Matthew heard plunged his restless heart into the abyss. He never expected Jenna to be so ruthless. "Jenna, I know I'm wrong. I apologize. Will you forgive me this time?" However, she did not need his apology. She had loved the wrong person and had been deceived. She willingly acknowledged her mistake, but it did not mean she would dwell on the past. ---- Having already stepped out from the very thing that had trapped her, she would not look back. Now, all she sought was to live for herself freely and happily. She looked at Matthew and smiled with relief. "Matt, you know me. From the moment you betrayed and deceived me, you became a past I had to let go of. Do you understand what I mean?"
