---- Chapter 13 No.13 Aria POV: "If you push this, Aria, it won't end well for anyone!" Kaelen finally snarled, a spark of defiance lighting in his dead eyes. He was cornered, and like any cornered animal, he was becoming dangerous. The other warriors, Ronan, and the rest of the pack's elite guard, stepped forward, instinctively forming a protective semi-circle around Lyra. Their glares were venomous. "She's right, Kaelen," | said with a chilling smile. "It won't end well. But not for me." | let my gaze drift over the faces of the warriors. "And don't you lot be so quick to pick a side. Because the evidence | have is going to burn you all down with her." Their confident expressions faltered. A seed of doubt, of fear, was planted. What could | possibly have? "A month ago," | announced to the room, "| had magical recording devices installed throughout the estate's common areas. Memory crystals. They capture both sound and image." | locked my eyes on Lyra, who had gone completely pale. "! was originally hoping to capture a few of you talking behind my back," | said, glancing at the warriors. "But | ended up recording so much more. So many... interesting little scenes." ---- "That's an invasion of our privacy!" Ronan roared. "Is it?" | asked sweetly. "| was securing my own home against disloyal wolves. | believe that falls under my purview as the Alpha's daughter. Now," | motioned to the guards, "bring me another projector. Let's watch something a little more entertaining this time." Kaelen and Lyra exchanged a look of pure, unadulterated panic. The other six warriors shifted uncomfortably, their faces a mixture of confusion and dawning horror. They had no idea what was coming. A new projector was set up. As the screen lit up, | looked at Lyra, a predator's smile on my lips. "Enjoy the show." The first image appeared. It was the back garden, bathed in moonlight. And on the screen, writhing together on a stone bench, were Lyra and the Beta, Ronan. They were naked, their bodies tangled in a passionate embrace. The crowd gasped as one. On the screen, Lyra's voice, breathy and seductive, was crystal clear. "Oh, Ronan... you're the only one I've ever truly wanted. Kaelen is just a brother to me. It's you, it has always been you." The show had just begun.
