Chapter 18 "Hannah, it really is you!" Spencer stared at the person in front of him in disbelief, unable to tell if this was reality or just an illusion. Hannah hadn't expected to run into him here. After a moment, she came to her senses and ordered the driver, "Lose him." The driver, not understanding the situation, sped up. Spencer accelerated as well, keeping his car parallel to Hannah's, his eyes full of the joy of regaining what was lost, completely ignoring the danger. Seeing that the other party was acting crazy, the driver got serious too, nearly shaking Spencer off several times. No matter what they did, they just couldn't force the car to stop. Growing desperate, Spencer threw caution to the wind, floored the gas pedal, swerved sharply, and blocked Hannah's car head-on. The driver didn't have time to brake and crashed straight into Spencer's sports car. After a tremendous crash, smoke filled the air. Spencer stepped out of his car, blood at the corner of his mouth. His face was scraped, blood still flowing from his body, but he seemed not to care at all. He walked to Hannah's car and forcefully pulled open the door. The moment he saw Hannah, Spencer finally managed a smile. "It really is you." "You're alive. That's really wonderful.". After saying this, Spencer could no longer hold on and collapsed unconscious. Hannah looked at the man lying on the ground, his face covered in blood, and felt a surge of complicated emotions. Spencer, you were the one who hurt me, and now you're the one risking your life. What kind of person are you, really? The sound of an ambulance siren approached, and Hannah, along with Spencer on the ground, was taken to the hospi- tal. Hannah wasn't really injured, so the doctor told her to sit in the hallway for observation. When Spencer woke up from his coma, the first thing he did was frantically search for Hannah. 0.0 % 09:18 Seeing Hannah sitting there safe and sound, he finally breathed a sigh of relief and stepped forward, wanting to hug her. But Hannah coldly avoided him. Spencer's arms closed around empty air. He stood there in disappointment, but finally said with relief, "Anna, I knew you weren't dead." There was a smile on his face, filled only with the joy of regaining what was lost. He even wondered if this was all just an illusion. Thinking this, Spencer reached out, wanting to touch her and confirm if this was real. But in the next second, Hannah coldly slapped his hand away. "Spencer, you're a smart man. If I chose not to appear in front of you, you should know what that means." Her cold and distant tone instantly plunged Spencer into the deepest despair. He took a step back, his reason slowly returning. "You did this on purpose, didn't you? You're getting back at me, aren't you?" Hannah shook her head, a bit impatient, and said, "Why can't you understand? Not seeing you isn't revenge. I just don't want to have anything to do with you anymore." "I don't want to see you, do you get it?" Spencer stood there in shock, feeling as if the sharpest knife had cut open his heart, letting the cold wind rush in. Hannah's expression was so cold, so indifferent. Spencer had never seen her like this before, and his heart ached with every beat. His eyes reddened as he spoke carefully, "I'm sorry. I was wrong before. I was the one who hurt you." "Only now do I realize I can't live without you. Losing you is scarier to me than losing my life. Please don't leave me." The always proud Spencer was now bowing his head in such humility. And it was all for himself. Hannah found it a little ridiculous and couldn't help but say, "So what?" "Just because you stand in front of me now, pretending to cry and apologizing, and then confess your feelings, am I supposed to forget everything that happened and come back to you?" Hannah's voice wasn't loud, but her words were like knives. They were especially harsh. 39.0% 09:18 Spencer hurried to explain, "No, that's not what I mean." "Then what do you mean?" Looking into Hannah's icy eyes, Spencer suddenly felt his throat tighten, unable to speak. He said hoarsely, "I was wrong before. You can get back at me, hurt me however you want. Just... don't leave me. I can't lose you again." "What if I insist on leaving?" Spencer's fists clenched tighter and tighter. He said, word by word, "Even if you end up hating me for it, I won't let you go." Hannah knew that if he said it, he would do it. Even though she now had the resources of the Crawford family, the Ruiz family was not easy to deal with either. She didn't want to cause trouble for Eugene. After a long silence, Hannah said, "Spencer, let's make a bet." "I'll give you three chances. If you can satisfy me, I'll forgive you and stay. If you can't, I'll disappear from your world forever, and you'll never find me again in this lifetime." 80.8 % 09:18
