Nia’s arm transformed into tentacles, the suction cups contracting and releasing as they prepared for another attack, and the sea beasts behind her similarly arched their backs. Seeing this, Wen Shu narrowed her eyes, her back straightened in battle readiness, but suddenly her body soared into the air. Before she could react, vibrant illusions passed before her eyes, Rah swiftly swam with her through the ocean. "Female, these sea beasts are truly troublesome." A slightly weak voice of complaint sounded beside her ear. Wen Shu shivered, looked back at Rah, and said softly, "Throw away what I gave you." She was serious, but Rah’s eyes widened as he supported her with one hand, holding his chest stubbornly, "No!" Seeing his stubborn look, Wen Shu understood Lan Ze’s feelings. She tightened her lips into a straight line, reached directly to grab, seeing him refusing to let go, she slapped his hand, "Do you still want to leave Kasadi together?" Rah immediately behaved, a fierce glint in his eye brightened a bit. Feeling the softness of the little hand roaming over his chest, his head spun, some alluring images flashed through, his ears blushed, and he glanced secretly at Wen Shu’s face. The female was willing to take him away! Did that mean she accepted him? Thinking this, his smile broadened, and the wound on his abdomen seemed to stop hurting! Wen Shu just wanted to leave the sea area, unaware of what he imagined, she retrieved the Magnetic Stone Ball and put it in her pocket. "Use superpower to shake them off!" Rah was stunned for a moment, only remembered the superpower had failed, but since the female spoke, images of the safest place in his mind flashed by, he immediately complied. The familiar dizziness hit, Wen Shu’s vision whited out, as the scene solidified, she disregarded everything else, jumped to the ground and began dry retching. Rah supported her, his strong hand weakly patting her back, "Female, are you...are you okay?" A slap came down, Wen Shu almost couldn’t catch her breath, hurriedly pressed his arm, "Are you trying to slap me to death?" She wiped the corner of her mouth, saw his pale lips, momentarily stunned, few sticky drops fell on her instep. Bringing the female to safety, not yet healed from serious injuries, recklessly using spiritual power, Rah finally couldn’t sustain, tiredly dropping his eyelids, "Female, sorry...I was just worried..." Seeing him swaying, falling backward onto the stones, Wen Shu grabbed his slender waist, but her strength wasn’t enough, she almost got pulled down. She tugged hard, the male’s muscular and sturdy body, like a small mountain, directly collapsed on her shoulder. Wen Shu was bent under his weight, trembling, struggling to stand straight to avoid falling, "Why are you so heavy..." Placing Rah’s heavy body in the corner’s dry grass nest, Wen Shu steadied her breathing, took out the magnet in her arms, trying to heal him. But the white glow in her palm flickered briefly then silently extinguished. The Divine Tree Leaves helped her break through in rank, yet during purification, completely drained her powers. Since crossing over, it was the first time she felt her power depleted. Just a piece of the Divine Tree Leaves held such formidable power, its significance apparent. Now, only waiting for Yining’s news... "Though, let’s first see where we are." Confirming Rah’s slow self-healing, Wen Shu covered him with a blanket, then stood up to inspect the stone cave. It seemed someone lived here, a window carved in the cave wall allowed sunlight into the cave, perfectly illuminating the small stone table. She stepped forward, noticing a few items still on the table. ʀᴇᴀᴅ ʟᴀᴛᴇsᴛ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀs ᴀᴛ novel⁂fire.net She picked up the wooden board beside the table, scrutinizing it closely. The symbols on the front were strange, seemingly Beast World script, the back was engraved with a picture. Beautiful decorative patterns, the center meticulously carved, depicted a serene scene of a lovely female holding her young. Warm light brushed over the old wooden board, Wen Shu’s fingertips touched the pattern seeing the young one with a curved blade tail. She recalled something, her feelings mixed, furrowing her brow as she turned to leave the cave, winding paths seemed to protect something. Until light poured through, the sound of waves crashing against rocks reached her ears. Wen Shu quickened her pace, braced against the cold cave wall, looking out onto the boundless sea. Sea birds circled above, an island across the waters, countless pale purple sea flowers swayed with the ocean breeze. Falling petals drifting on the sea surface, dreamlike as if a fantasy. Why did Rah bring her here? This was where his mother passed away... Indeed, he longed to return to the days relying on his mother his entire life, it was normal he’d wish to return here in a near-death state. However, the issue now is to fill their stomachs, heal Rah, and find Wu Xuan. Wen Shu pressed her lips tight, glancing at the seabird overhead, then looking at the sharp stones inside the cave. Rah, in a daze, smelled a rich fragrance, he’d been hungry for two days, his stomach was long ago empty. Groaning, he opened his eyes, seeing the scene before him, silently holding his breath. In the familiar cave, a warm fire burned, the female soaked through, her robe clinging to her delicate body, her long hair sticking to her face. Her long lashes trembled slightly, as she lowered her gaze, water droplets fell to the ground, splashing sparks of red in the firelight. Rah opened his lips, somewhat dazed, propping himself up. Hearing the commotion, Wen Shu swiftly stood, handed him a roasted seabird. "You’re still hurt, don’t move recklessly." A red glow tinted her face, hidden in the shadows her eyes showed difficultly concealed concern. Sharp rocks in her palm, hot yet harsh, Rah recalled something, his throat tightened, softly lowered his eyes, "Mm..." Noticing his wrong mood, Wen Shu averted her gaze, stood intending to get some food, but before retreating, a broad hand landed on her lower back. Rah leapt forward, his furry head buried in her abdomen, absorbing the warmth she wouldn’t spare, "Female, thank you..." His strength wasn’t small, greedily nuzzling, his defined face pressing Wen Shu’s brow to furrow. "It’s fine, you saved me too." Her voice purposefully indifferent. Understanding her distance, Rah’s muscled back twitched, tightening his hold on her waist, his chin resting on her abdomen, face up slightly. "Female, I know you hate me, I was wrong before, I can change..." His bright blue eyes widened, the corners wet, filled with tears. Looking quite miserable. Wen Shu’s lips pressed tightly, unable to avoid some softening towards this silly Rah. "I’m hungry," she looked away, expression unchanging, "let’s talk tomorrow if there’s anything." Sitting back by the fire, Wen Shu’s feelings more tangled, slowly chewing meat, watching the man in the straw nest. Noticing her gaze, Rah wiped his tears, eating more vigorously, his brows curved, intending to join her by the fire. "Don’t come over, you’re still hurt." Knowing she’s worried about him, Rah smirked, honestly sitting back down. Seeing his appearance, Wen Shu lowered her gaze at the fire, lost in thought. After dinner, the sky grew darker. She sat by the fire for a while, feeling a bit tired, stood to gather hay, planning to move some to the other corner. Rah became resentful again, seeming to have figured out Wen Shu’s moments of softness, donned a rugged fierce face pretending to be pitiful. "Female, it’s cold by the coast at night, just sleep here!" He blinked his elongated eyes, obediently not moving, yet threw himself hugging Wen Shu’s leg, refusing to let go.
