My eight year old body was shaking with the same shock that coated each of their faces . They couldn't understand how a child shifted into a wolf and tore each and every one of them apart . Their body parts littered the ground , a canvas painted by me . No child should have that much blood on their hands . I tried to warn them but they didn't listen . Instead , they came closer and closer until I had no choice . They paid for their mistake with their lives . I hadn't had this nightmare in years and couldn't understand why it would present itself after so long . I came to terms with my first kills long ago but tonight was serving as a reminder that this memory would always haunt me . It reminded me that my innocence was taken way too young . I remember how I continued to stand there , unable to believe what I had just done even though the evidence was everywhere I looked . The sounds of howling are the only reason my little feet took off running through the forest . The storm I conjured next wasn't my first but it was certainly my worst . Wind bent the trees at the roots and rain pelted down painfully . Lightning struck anyone who came too close to me while thunder covered the sounds of my heavy breathing . A group of rogues managed to surround me in a clearing , all snarling while baring their teeth . I didn't try to warn them this time . They wouldn't let me get away no matter what I said . Eight of them were circling me and I knew the inevitable had to happen . I sent up a silent prayer to Selene , begging her to forgive me for having to take away so many of her creations . The first one to lunge didn't make it far as he got hit with a bolt of lightning , instantly killing him . Unfortunately , that didn't discourage the rest . With a nod , they all attacked at once . I knew they weren't supposed to kill me but that didn't mean they wouldn't leave a few marks in their attempt to subdue me . I refused to let them get their hands on me to drag me back to that monster . Weather came forward and started ripping into rogue after rogue . In the beginning , there were only eight , but as each one dropped , more poured from the forest . I was quickly becoming overwhelmed and as the panic began to settle in , my body came alive , filling me with unfiltered determination . Wind started whipping around my legs before encasing my whole body , stopping any rogue from being able to get too close to me . The more my body buzzed , the stronger the wind became . I let out a howl as the wind around my body turned into a full sized tornado . The tornado barreled into rogue after rogue . Those not close enough to get hit directly by it were still affected by the wind whipping around it . Wolves went flying into the air , slamming into trees before dropping dead on the 1/2 Chapter Sixteen - Raina +25 BONUS ground . The full moon was shining brightly in the sky and I'd never felt more powerful . Only after the tornado threw each and every rogue to their death did I finally release it . The wind became still after that and the night eerily quiet . I looked around at the carnage I'd caused . The ground was torn up and blood coated the grass and trees , glistening brightly under the moonlight .
